DO NOT GO HERE If I could give negative stars I would. Me and my partner called a week ahead and booked a couples massage at 1pm the following Sunday . We got there ten minutes early and where greeted by the lady working the front seat with "what do you want" right off the bat being very rude. We told her we had an appointment and wanted to pay separately (due to our financials) she completely ignored us and charged me the full $180. She walked us to the room told us to get undressed and slammed the door on her way out. Twenty minutes goes by and it's 1:10pm and one lady walks in without knocking first yo me and my partner changing. She said she's going to start my massage and both me and my partner questioned where the second person is and we where told she'd be there in five minutes. She didn't show up for another twenty minutes. At this point we where pissed. I told my massage tech to gently on me due to the fact that I bruise easily. She did not listen and ended up leaving me covered in red marks and bruises. Then after the massage the lady who was late started demanding for a tip, we are extremely great and tipping for everyone but I'm sorry the service and treatment was poor so we did not tip. pictures of some of the bruises left on my body.

Review for Watercourse Way Bath House Spa…read more A peaceful oasis in the middle of Palo Alto that works for just about any occasion. This is a long overdue review. I have been to Watercourse Way by myself, with girlfriends, and with boyfriends--and it has been solid every single time. Whether you're looking for quiet alone time, a girls' day, or a relaxing couples experience, this place truly has something for everyone. What makes Watercourse Way special is the privacy and flexibility. The private rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Each one typically includes a hot tub, cold plunge, shower, and a comfortable resting area with clean towels and linens. It feels like your own little retreat tucked away from the world. They also offer larger rooms that are perfect for sharing with friends--soaking, chatting, and maybe adding a massage to the experience. The massage services are excellent, and you can book them individually, as a couple, or as part of a group visit. The staff makes the whole process easy and welcoming. A few practical notes: * Parking can be a little tricky right near the entrance * I usually park at the Whole Foods on Homer Avenue and walk a block or two--it's simple and feels very safe * The facility is consistently clean, well-maintained, and professionally run * Prices are reasonable for the level of privacy and service you receive What I appreciate most about Watercourse Way is how it encourages you to slow down. It's the kind of place that reminds you to take care of yourself, breathe, and reset. Life is short. Stress is unavoidable. You can't control other people--but you can control how you respond. So go soak. Get a massage. Unwind. Make it part of your routine. You'll leave calmer than when you arrived--and that alone makes it worth it.

The little store inside is also so cute - they have JellyCat plushies too! They also offer you tea / ice water when you walk in.

I booked my massage based on availability, not the specific masseuse, and ended up with Rebecca. She was very sweet and asked about any problem areas and my preferred pressure. I appreciated that she checked in early during the massage to make sure the pressure felt right and adjusted based on my feedback. She mostly used her elbows on my back, and in hindsight, I wish I had spoken up more about preferring hand pressure. Maybe that was just part of the Swedish massage style I selected. The space itself is very clean and quiet, which I loved. The room was a perfect temperature with calming music, so I felt really relaxed throughout the session. The bathroom was clean, the front desk staff were kind, and they even have little candies at the front which is a cute touch. It is on the pricier side, but that might be standard for the area, I'm still figuring that out lol. Overall, a great experience and I'd definitely consider going back.

I had booked lymphatic massage with Jane's Therapy after seeing great reviews about her massages…read more I received reminder via text message which was helpful. She's operating out of her home in Santa Clara. Finding her place was easy- she also came to parking area to make sure I find the place. A few things that led to a meh experience- I have been to multiple places, including some who operate out of home, so naturally I'm comparing against those. This one felt weird. 1. The table is set up in the living room with one divider to cover shorter side (head) only, so the table is exposed in the longer side and quite open, with almost zero privacy. 2. Communication: I was expecting lymphatic massage but she suggested lymphatic is not good as it is very mild. Instead she would do a combination of lymphatic and will use pressure points. She kept pushing for it so I reluctantly agreed. During the massage she checked a couple of times about pressure, which was good. However the massage itself was just okay. Towards end of the massage she said her fingers hurt because she had to massage using fingers vs elbow. And she asked if I still wanted lymphatic but we are already at one hour at that point - that felt very off and weird. I declined because I didn't know if that would mean extra cost or not. It was also weird that she rolled her eyes as it to indicate it's a burden for her. The bed was warm but room was cold, with sofa and all open mess around. Overall it was pretty bad experience. It could be because she operated out of her home, but it was weird.

She was really understanding about my headaches and seemed to know exactly where to focus during the massage. After a few sessions, I've noticed my headaches aren't as bad as they used to be. Jane's office has a nice, relaxed feel, and she's genuinely nice to talk to. If you're looking for some relief from tension or headaches, Jane might be worth a try.

Customer service 5/5: Friendly, on time, efficient, and very professional. Ambiance 4.5/5: It's not a super high end place but for everything they offer it's relaxing and nice. The only critique I'd have is having less of the water splashing sounds when getting the head scalp treatment. The background music was nice but I think the water splashing interfered with our zen a little bit! Experience 5/5: Mandy and her associate were really thorough. We were able to see our scalp and hair beforehand. We got a really hydrating facial, my skin was sooo baby smooth after! They used a Dyson on our hair and we got massages during which was so so nice. I'd definitely be back again. Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to relax and get treated for some self care!

After the treatment, my scalp honestly felt a lot lighter and cleaner, which I really appreciated. I didn't like that she only showed me my scalp at the hairline split before and after the treatment. I've been to other places that show multiple areas of your scalp so you can really see the difference. Another downside was at the very end of the appointment, the front desk lady barged into our room saying another client was waiting for my technician. It felt unprofessional. Overall, I still enjoyed the treatment and left feeling refreshed.
