We did the milk and honey pedicure and that was wonderful. Because of the pedicure, I felt vacation ready with my typical dry skin being well hydrated and soft. I can honestly say, it was a perfect pedicure and have paid more and received much less at other salons. I recommend the milk and honey pedicure that was about $60. The full set manicure, on the other side of the room, I do not encourage anyone to use their service. My hands were not freshly washed (I just had an hour long pedicure) and there was no real break or encouragement to wash my hands. I don't even know if there is a sink, there was no "traffic" to any particular area of the room....a room that had about a dozen customers. My tips were misshapen and randomly thicker and then thinner at the edges. They were almost all consistent in length but my crooked thumbnail was absolutely a joy. Mold grew on one tip within a week and my nails were falling off within two weeks. My nails are visibly damaged and I just clearly do not recommend using their service for a manicure. read more

I went to this business as a walk-in customer to get a gel service on my nails. The man who worked on me was Max and he was very friendly and communicative. He did such a good job with my nails that when I left I asked him what his name was so when I came returned could request him. Their prices were average with other shops. The store was clean and very comfortable. I have been back twice since then and plan to make this my permanent nail shop. Nothing too fancy but the customer service was fabulous, and to me that's what counts more than a glitzy interior. read more

I have gone a few times for pedicures and they always do a good job, yes they try to upswell you on the better packages, but in my experience they are worth it! The deluxe pedicure with the hot stone massage is to die for, especially for people that stand or walk a lot for work! I used to love coming here but the last few visits will be my last. A few months ago, I got dip nails and the nail tech did not file down or shape the nail afterwards and I was left with chunky polish and uneven nails. I figured maybe it was just a bad experience and the next time would be better. This last time I came in and paid a little extra for the deluxe pedicure. My friend and I both got the same one. The woman who did my pedicure only trimmed my toenails. She didn't push down my cuticles or cut any of the hangnails. I work long hours on my feet and was looking forward to a nice pedicure but unfortunately this was not the case. Today I went in and the same nail tech did my nails. changed me 5 extra for a removal of a color . Than tells me after she does it even thought I was still getting a fill. Ok would have got over it. but the whole time she did my nails she complained about me in her language. Even had a different girl asked me if I wanted a pedicure. Than I heard her talk to other people in perfect English. it now only has 3 stars when for years it had 5. my girlfriend took me to a new place in Villa park . Would've been 1 star, but the staff was friendly. Pros: 1. Pedicure was just fine. 2. Tech had my mom sit in the massage chair next to me while she waited so that we could talk to each other and so that she could get a massage, which was really sweet. 3. Reasonable price. Cons: 1. We had to wait 25 minutes to be seen, though we had made an appointment and were told it would be fine. It was just an hour before they officially closed, so we offered to come back the next day and honestly, we should've. We were told we could stay. 2. My tech was going so fast that she cut me while trimming my cuticles. It wouldn't stop bleeding and took a nice tiny chunk out of my finger. She was really apologetic and cleaned it right away but she shouldn't have been going that fast in the first place. 3. The actual manicure was so bad (haphazard, didn't consistently remove cuticle and just painted over what was there, rough filing) that I literally took it off as soon as I got home. 4. Could see (and feel) the half-heartedness of the service throughout. Don't extend your hours for the sake of fitting in more business if your service is going to be subpar/inconsistent. My mom and I literally never get our nails done (I'm talking once every few years), so I was really excited about the opportunity to see her relax and enjoy herself. Very disappointed. Came back here after being gone for some time. Nancy has done an outstanding job at my pedicures and my no chip nails. She made my nails look perfect! Was there the other day and Nancy was not in, had Sophia, and I asked if she could do ombré.... she said yes. My nails looked so good, that the girl sitting next to me also wanted to get it, and several people I saw at work asked what it was and wanted to also get it done. It's a lil steep in price though..... I mean powder is powder and it really doesn't take more time than even a full set. I'd like to see the price come down a bit. read more

After being an occasional customer for over 5 years, my run here has ended. Not only has the quality completely disappeared, the management (Amy) appears to have grown complacent and no longer places a high value on customer service as she once did. Amy did my last service - a gel set. She was rushing and yelling over me and jumping up to facilitate the new folks walking in and making pedicure water and giving out gift certificates.... but I was patient and didn't say a word. She took over an hour and a half to finish. Not cool. Then,this... Amy: You want eyebrow today? Me: Do I need it? Amy: Oh yeah. Make you look prettier. Me: Nice try, but I just came in here a few days ago and had them done. So, no thanks. Amy: Oh. The last straw was when my nails started lifting the next day! I went back and asked that they be fixed. Amy claimed that the lifting was "my fault because (my) hands were in water." Well, yes. I wash my hands multiple times a day and I bathe twice a day and on a good day I might mop or do a dish or two. Duh! Either way, they shouldn't be lifting in less than 24hrs. But to add insult to injury, she said, "You are never happy. You always complain. Never satisfied." Um, nope. Wrong chick. In 5 years, I complained only once about the shape of my nails because there was a language barrier and the tech didn't understand what I wanted. Amy did the gel set, but she gave me another tech to fix her work. But, she said "We'll fix them for you, but you need to take care of my girl. She take care of you, so you take care of her. Right?" Are you kidding me right now, Amy? That was the dagger that ended this relationship, PERMANENTLY. The tech whispered, "These are bad. We have to start over. Amy does a pretty French, but she is no good at this." She took them all off did a fresh set. An hour later, they looked fabulous. And, yeah... I tipped her $10 knowing that it was the LAST buck I'd ever spend at that establishment EVER. read more

My husband said I thought you were going to get your feet done. Won't even begin to talk about my fingernails because I am nipping them now as we speak and getting the dirt out from underneath them that was not even noticed. Maybe she was just having a bad day. I called and asked how much my nails were going to be and they said $25 my nails came out to $35 and Amy claimed she told me that it was going to cost more but she never once told me. She charged me $5 extra because I didn't get "square square" I got "skinny square". Amy was very rough and constantly apologized to the customer waiting on me and was rushing me when I was the one who had an appointment. I was really embarrassed because she kept on talking about me to the lady waiting on me saying that I was sensitive when in reality I'm not sensitive I just don't need my hands manhandled. It was a waste of $40. Also she did not clean the file she used on my hands on the girl she did after me and I feel bad for that girl I hope she doesn't get a fungus from me. This is the best place I have ever gone to get my nails done. I only go weekday late mornings and there are only a handful of people there and no wait. I know that on the weekends it gets packed, so beware The tech's do very careful and detailed work. It takes a hour to do a fill in, so make sure you have time. The technician I had was so amazing, she really took her time and made sure every nail was perfect. When the color was completed she said she wuld give me a free design on my ring fingers. She did a sweet black and white swirly design that looked great. THEN she did another hot pink design on my thumbs. No extra charge. While my nails were drying she came over and gave me a 10 minute massage!! I was so happy with my experience at Kelly Nails, I will be a loyal customer here forever. I should also add that all the employees are super friendly, they compliment you and offer suggestions on different services. I think they really enjoy their jobs and it shows by providing exceptional customer service at great prices! read more

I've been going here for the last couple of months. I'm always please on how clean it is. I go for the pedicures and usually get the deluxe one. You pay a little more, but you get a longer leg and foot rub. Plus there are more scrubs done with this pedicure. When you are sitting after your pedicure at the drying station you get a mini shoulder massage. I have always been happy here so the last time I was here I also got a manicure. I can't believe that my nails just started to chip 5 days later.( the manicure was just a regular one not a no chip.) I wish they didn't start to chip I love the cooler on my nails. Ok seriously awful. I live in Lombard and used to come here regularly years ago. I stopped coming because people I knew kept getting infections here. Decided to come back to give it another chance a few weeks ago. The girl was wearing a betty boop smock, she did an AMAZING job I was so happy. Went back yesterday, and had the WORST nail experience of my LIFE. The lady was so rough on me, hurt me through the whole service. and she was just so mean!! She had such a bad attitude. She completely rushed my service, made me feel so unwelcome and more like a chore than a paying customer. I was in there for 20 minutes, tops. For a no chip, and they even had to take off my old no chip.... 20 minutes. My nails look awful!! All different shapes and sizes, the polish itself doesn't even look good. Save yourself, don't go here. I wish I got her name. I tipped her 1 dollar. I hope she reads this. If you are that unhappy where you work, doing what you're doing, just quit. Service was great at first! Nice staff, in the beginning, everything was great! Then when I go to pay, they charged $60 for a full set with gel color! Which normally cost $40 at any other salon. Not to mention my normal salon does pedis with gel color and mani for $50 on Sundays with cash. Whatever, my mistake for not checking. I was in a crunch and had a wedding later that day. This was Friday morning. Come Tuesday, they're ALL chipping and peeling off! Never again will I pay that much for nails that literally barely made t through the weekend. What a waste of money. If you have polish that needs to be taken off, they have someone take it off for you until a technician is ready to do your nails. Even though they are fast, they still do a great job. I used to come here with my mom when I was a kid. They've remodeled a couple times throughout the years and it looks so great. It's bright and open and decorated very nicely. When I walked in, multiple people greeted me which was so nice. I don't remember the name of woman that did my nails but she did a phenomenal job. She was fast but didn't rush. I don't get my nails done often at all and the last time I got my nail done (at a different salon in town) it was not a good experience. There were at least 8 of us in the middle of pedi and BAM we were all left..undone...water getting cold!! Obvious that they are illegal workers! Hoping the inspector got on top of it! Just...HORRIBLE. That's all I can say about this place. I had gone in there a few years ago and received "so so" service and I was in a rush the other day and needed a pedicure badly so I decided to give it another shot. First, the guy who started on my feet had me soaking for about 15 minutes while he talked to another co-worker, then he just came over, took my polish off and started scraping down my cuticles, I stopped him and asked him why he didn't put the cuticle softening lotion on, he said he didn't have to because my feet had been soaking so long...I told him "No, put it on because my feet are very tough" the guy huffed and puffed about it but, did it. I asked him to file my nails and to only cut down my big toes, he proceeds to clip all of my nails. Then when I asked him to get out an ingrown nail, he switched to have a lady do my feet. She was extrememly rough, I've never actually had my feet HURT after a pedicure. My personal nail polish selection in my bathroom is better than at this place. They are OVERPRICED and do a horrible job, there's a place down the street on Roosevelt that's cheaper (by the pizza hut) who are amazing every time I have gone and give great leg massages. Amy is magical. Enough said. I've been going here since I went to high school right across the street years ago. I've been through several owners, but the current are definitely the best. Amy, one of the owners is the only one who does my nails and she does a phenomenal job. I get UV gel which is a bit pricier than regular gel nails, but it is definitely worth it. They remember me every time I come in, and Amy also works on my mom so she always asks about her as well. I used to always get my eyebrows threaded but on one of my bi-weekly trips here Amy asked if I would let her wax them for me. Sure, why not. She did an AWESOME job and they actually have shape now. They just got these amazing new pedicure chairs that I could sit in all day if they would let me. I always get the Milk & Honey pedicure which takes almost an hour but is worth every minute. Then as you are drying the girls come and give you a shoulder massage which nearly always puts me to sleep. On my last trip here I splurged and paid for a 20 minute massage where they put you in a crazy little chair and it was to die for. I haven't felt so relaxed in such a long time! They do extremely detailed work, truly care about their customers, and they stand by their work. They don't even charge me for repairs. I've never been disappointed here. Be careful when you come though, it can be EXTREMELY busy. I normally go on weekdays late morning/early afternoon and its okay but the weekends can get rowdy in here. read more

I went to this salon for a little more than two years. It used to be a good place for a quick, solid manicure, but I watched the quality, cleanliness and service decline. However, there have always been two consistencies: they have always been pushy with the extra services, and they really don't like it if you pay with a card. These two things were easy to overlook when the service was good, but nowadays, it's annoying. Another review here said you get what you pay for; this isn't a luxury spa. My retort: they push you from chair-to-chair like cattle for one service, and they use dirty tools for a clumsy job. My sister-in-law recommended this place, and it's not too far from me so I gave it a go over the summer. It was 4pm on a weekday and it was PACKED! Every chair filled and people coming in every few minutes - which I see as a good sign. I had a guy do my pedicure and he did a nice job, nothing special. The place seemed clean and the massage chairs worked well (haven't you been to a place and the chair didn't work quite right and you thought, 'what the heck? this is a big perk about getting a pedi!!').
