To clarify as there seems to be some confusion, this review is for the Classy Nails in Lombard, by Yorktown mall. Came in on a whim for a dip color change due to close proximity to my hair salon as I was also getting that done the same day. I typically go to the Classy Nails in Danada and figured it could not be too different. The technician soaked my nails directly in acetone instead of wrapping them, which caused removal to be a very messy process. He proceeded to dip my nails directly into the containers of powder instead pouring some into a little jar for my individual use. That seems quite unsanitary. Additionally, when filing my nails he filed so close to the skin my finger was sore. The color was not even and the length of my nails was not either. I did express concern and they granted a discount. I will not be going back. read more

I went here for a gel x manicure and regular pedi. Immediately when I walked in, I was greeted with very friendly staff who helped me out right away. They were extremely efficient. I was very impressed with how my nails came out! I felt bad asking in the middle of the manicure to change the base color but my nail tech was wonderful and got it done. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First I called ahead of time to make an appointment for me and my friend I specified over the phone that we were each getting a pedicure and we wanted it done at the same time. we got here on time got sat and only one woman came out and started on my friends pedicure she looked like she had no idea what she was doing water was splashing everywhere my friends pants were literally wet. Then after waiting 30 minutes for her to be done with my friend even tho we asked if there was someone coming for mine and all we got was a nod and smile she started on mine didn't even ask me what kind of pedicure I wanted just started doing whatever BUT SHE DIDNT CHANGE HER GLOVES. How unsanitary is that! I politely asked her to change her gloves and she did but still. Then same thing rushed every step and was so messy. Then she starts doing my friends nail polish and ITS SO MESSY I looked over and my friend told her to take the color off all the way and I told them I don't even want a color. I came here upon a recommendation. Staff greeted me right away and took my temperature. I explained that I wanted a pedicure and a no chip. The place was beautiful and very clean. They had a large selection of nail polish both regular and no chip. My pedicure and manicure were both very relaxing. I was here for about an hour and didn't feel rushed. The lotion and scrubs they use smelled great. My only concern was my final total. The sheet I chose my pedicure from said it was $38. However he added something to my pedicure which upped it $20 more. For both it ended up being $98. (Plus tip). If I were to come back I would ask for more clarification on their prices before starting the services. They did have some signage at the front due to COVID the prices would be raised.i did not notice this on the way in. They also are limited number of patrons in the salon because of covid. read more

Took my daughter after seeing reviews on "what's happening in Lombard" FB post. Was very happy! They are open on Sundays, prices are great, service wonderful.. The staff very accommodating. I understood clients stopped going due to the previous owner... it's really great now! We will be back! Came for short, almond shaped milky white/pink nails and got exactly that! I get my nails done once in a blue moon so I had no clue what to ask for, but the nail techs were really kind in explaining what I should get. I explained that my nails are super uneven but I wanted them longer and almond shaped, so they added some tip extensions and offered gel or dip, noting that dip lasts longer. I chose color #144 on the gel color guide which looked like the milky white I was aiming for, but it was very translucent when painted on, almost clear. They were kind enough to find the correct shade and change it for me. I also got a pedicure and was really impressed by how thorough they were with the massage and everything. It was a great, comfortable experience and I have no complaints whatsoever! They also have a 20% off services promotion going on, so I would definitely recommend taking advantage of it while it lasts, although this salon is 10000% worth the full price. UPDATED REVIEW: Downgrading to a 1-star from 3-star due to lack of Customer Service. I went to the salon the next day after my initial time visiting to discuss my eyelashes. I was told that the technician wasn't in as of yet to come back. Well, I had to go out of state for the next five days. The staff member scheduled for me to return on Tuesday, September 29th to discuss further and give the technician an opportunity to redo my lashes. I was somewhat disappointed because I got my lashes done for the trip that I was leaving for but agreed. I returned on yesterday (9/29) and Tiffany redid my lashes. Still not great or what I'm used to but they weren't as bad looking as the first time. So I decided to just wear them to at least get my monies worth. I asked her not to put glue on the extended portion of the lashes (just the base area that attaches to your lash per usual) and that helped them look better (not as cheap looking as before and prevented them from clumping together). However, the quality of the lashes themselves aren't great. As well as the lashes looked like two different kinds on each eye. One was slightly curled like I like them and the other looked straight and wiry like the first pair. Unfortunately, the lashes came off yet AGAIN on the same day. It was later in the evening after I took a shower about 12 hours later. My appointment was at 10:30am and I showered around 10pm before bed. I'm accustomed to wearing lashes and know to not put water directly on them the first day so I washed around them and they still came off. At this point, I just wanted a refund. I called the salon this morning (9/30) and they asked me to come back in at 2pm so I did. I spoke with who I'm guessing may be the manager and Tiffany. Tiffany said she hadn't had this problem before and asked me to give her a 3rd opportunity to do my lashes next week when she gets in a new order of glue. I declined and stated that I'd prefer a refund. They offered me a partial refund only; due to her spending her "time" doing the lashes. What about my time going up there three times while I should be working from home??? I spent a total of $110 plus a $17 tip (not quite 20%). I had planned on being a regular customer for mani/pedis. However, due to them refusing to offer me a full refund I will never return and I don't recommend this salon. You lost what could have been a regular customer who gets her hands and feet done twice a month and a future revenue stream for refusing to give a $35 refund for bad lashes. Not a wise decision if you ask me. INITIAL REVIEW: Went here for the first time today as I just moved in the area from Houston. Ben did a great job on my pedicure. He massaged my legs really well. Tiffany did a great job on my dip manicure. It was my first time trying the dip. So far I like it. Tiffany also did my eyelashes. I got the flares for $35. I hate them! They look horrible and I'll likely remove them so that was a total waste of money. I've had flares many times. They don't curve what-so-ever and she put glue on the lashes themselves so they are clumping together. They don't look natural at all. So that's my reason for the 3 stars. Otherwise definitely a 4 or 5. Having said that, it was close by. Literally within walking distance from my new apartment so it's really convenient. I would definitely go back for a mani/pedi but I will never get lashes from here again. The staff was nice. Parking is plentiful and the salon appears to be clean. They are taking COVID measures as they check your temperature upon entering and have you wash your hands. The nail technician also has a plastic shield between themselves and the client. read more
