I love this place!! I always leave with great nails. I'm not sure of his name, but I always like to get them done by the man who works there. He does a great job and is the perfect amount of "chatty" not too much, but also not weirdly silent. He's never cut my skin by accident, but someone else there did. I went back though, because of the good prices and convenient location for me. I'm glad I did. Only knocked off a star because I wish they had more colors and because their strong point is definitely not delicate-looking nail art - it's great for French tips, bold and glossy acrylic sets, and gel manis, but ask them to draw a flower and hold on to your hat because it might get weird. read more

I gotta say - she did an amazing job of keeping them thin & natural like I requested. Some places it's a total crap shoot. So I let myself be convinced to stay (I needed them badly). And then time started to go over - the next thing I knew - I found myself with a tech working on each hand simultaneously to keep me from being late to my business appointment. To put it bluntly. They are sloppy and overpriced for the quality of work they put out. It's Friday and I got my nails done Tuesday. Gel- Full set/ gel polish. I posted pictures of all the imperfections and my thumb nail that broke yesterday. I don't work with my hands either, in case you were thinking that's why they look so bad and are breaking. I called to explain that my nails were already breaking, the gel polish is fading at the tips, not to mention the TONS of imperfections that of course I didn't notice while I was there as I was in a rush to leave, the lady on the phone said if I came back in she would fix them. I explained that I don't want her to fix them. I want them removed and my money back. She kept saying she would fix them.... Umm why did you do a terrible job to begin with!!!!???? And based on your disgusting sloppy work from the beginning, what reassures me that you "fixing" them will actually satisfy me? I mean really, why didn't you just do a good job to begin with??!!??!! I paid 50 total and gave a 10 dollar tip. If I had noticed how terrible of a job they had done I would not have tipped so well. But alas I believe in tipping well and as I said before I was in a massive rush to leave so I unfortunately didn't take the time to notice until that evening when I got home. The Salon is going by a new name now (Nails of America) as it is under new ownership. I had never been to this salon before but my Mom offered a mani/pedi for my birthday and I couldn't say no to that. The shop is clean and cozy, the two women working were spectacular and funny, the treatment was delightful and my overall experience was lovely. My mom and I both indulged in a deluxe pedi ($75) which included a perefin wax treatment, hot stones and was definitely worth the price. I also got a standard mani ($25) that was from a lovely selection of colors and applied masterfully. I'm not from the area but will definitely be back the next time I am in Northampton! read more

In my experience Kelly's offers the best full set gel manicure in the area. They take their time, which means I never leave with sore or cut up cuticles (which I can't say about Lucky's or the salons in the Holyoke Mall). They have a small family staff, which means you may have to wait sometimes if you're a walk in, but for me they're worth the wait. read more

Really nice place, I got a mani-pedi and both technicians were super nice and really took the time to make sure they got everything right. I sprung the extra $10 for a spa pedicure and it was a LOT of extra stuff for 10 bucks - a really long calf and foot massage, a bunch of moisturizing treatments, some kind of wax treatment, and a hot stone massage. And my nails and feet look great. I've been to quite a few nail places in the area and Kelley's is definitely the best for both process and result, and at the lowest prices I've found in the area to boot! Oh and I didn't know this when I went but there is free parking in back of the building. read more

I'm still trying to figure out if that was a manicure or some sick form of torture. The girl just about buffed off my whole nail along with the cuticle. It was actually so painful that I couldn't relax. The manicure was rushed and the paint job was sloppy. The warm towel she used on my hands after smelled like a sock. I couldn't wait to wash my hands after. What was my reason for giving two stars instead of one? The girl was friendly and she gave a nice back rub while my nails were drying. I've been here a few times and the pedicures are usually fine, not awesome. Today, however, I got the worst pedicure of my life. The guy cut my big toe's nail much shorter than he should have and as he kept going shorter and shorter, he eventually cut right into my flesh. Twice. I literally screamed in pain (I've birthed two children, and have a high pain tolerance). He then proceeded to put various liquids over the gushing blood, telling me it would be fine. After all was done, there was plenty of polish on my skin, as well as some dried up blood. Everything looks so terrible that I don't even plan to wear open-toed shoes on my trip to a warmer climate this upcoming week. read more

Sloppiest mani I have ever had. She spent only a few mins on cuticles, barely soaked, buffed way too hard, lazily shaped nails such that they were lopsided. She didn't even bother cleaning underneath/under the to top part of my nails. Really unbelievable that the tech thought this work was acceptable. (I think she was the owner). I wanted to complain but also just wanted to get the hell out of there. Same goes for my friend who came with me. We are embarrassed and need to get everything redone elsewhere.... Avoid. read more

Wanted to try Kelley's as it is new in town and I like to support new businesses. Asked for the basic pedicure and got rushed through it!! He was a bit rough when pushing and pulling at my legs in and out of the tub. Normally I have had a worker tap my foot and I knew to put in or take out of the water - no need to pull hard! Nails were not cut as I said yes when he asked - then when I reminded him - he cut them too short. Rushed through the trimming and cleaning part - no "heel treatment" as the basic includes, and a poor job on the painting. I go to the salon to have then cleaned up - otherwise I would paint them at home! One of the ladies touched up several of my nails - there was no polish on the sides of a few nails and she cleaned up the polish on my skin - as she squatted on the floor at the drying table - apologizing a few times that they needed to be fixed. It really felt like a polish color change in the end - so I asked if I could pay that price and the "gentleman" yelled and argued with me across the salon as about 5 other patrons were there! I sat in the pedicure chair for over 30 minutes waiting to be seen and the water went cold. They were just starting on my feet when my friends were finishing, so they had to wait for me. Then when my toes were drying, the woman pulled off the toe separator and smudged my big toe. I didn't want to sit and wait for it to be fixed, so I left. I've been going to this salon for about a year. I have only lived in the area a little more than 2 years and have been to 5 local salons - by the time I tried Kelley's I decided to take a chance despite the bad reviews as I was not happy with the 5 I'd tried, which all, weirdly enough, have pretty good reviews on Yelp. Two things matter most in a nail salon: quality of manicure and customer service. I have been known to overlook a mediocre manicure if I get great customer service, but I will never overlook poor customer service even if the manicure is amazing. From my first visit at this salon I've gotten both: a great manicure and great customer service. This past summer (2017) the salon got new management and while the previous owners left me with no complaints, I really like the new owners. They do a real, thourough manicure each time - work on my cuticles, quality gel application, and a nice little hand massage with oil after. Sometimes they even give a shoulder massage, which took me by surprise the first time, but now I look forward to it. I've been meaning to post for a while because I noticed the reviews aren't really great for this place, and I want to give them props. read more

Zero 's. 2 coworkers and I built up excitement to have mani and pedi's today on this rainy dreary day and the experience and outcome literally has me peeling the shitlac I mean shellac off my finger nails and erasing the clumpy non top coated polish on my toesies. A man, unsure of his name who didn't bother to introduce himself, was uncomfortably rough at the awful example of a basic pedicure... just awful. I wanted my toes and finger nails to match and really don't give 2 shits for shellac but he was annoyingly persistent with... "no you do shellac, last longer"... obviously what I wanted didn't matter. Picked a nail color closest to my toes and it doesn't match after all. I even told him it's going to bother me... guess what? It's bothering me BIG TIME. A woman did my nails. Again, didn't say her name, I remember she had a scar on her right cheek. She didn't seem too experienced with doing nails at all what's so ever. First off never cut cuticles just GENTLY push them back. The damn gel polish is a hot mess. Thumb nail is cut crooked and my nails were sticking to my fingers and I was literally picking the mess off as she was staring at me afterwards when I was waiting for my buddies also awfully displeasing nail jobs to finish! I also told that lady that my toes need another coat another another top polish she insisted he did them hahaha THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. We were all very polite the entire time so there was no need to treat us the way see were treated. The eldest woman gave another customer what looked like to be a very good basic pedicure that lasted the entire length of the 3 of ours! I'm curious as to what she really thought. I will never go back there and I really don't think anyone should. Love this place, I live about 30 mins away with other crappy nail salons around me and I take the extra trip to get here. Price is right, and the service is great. Good customer service is rare and they go the extra mile to provide good nail service. The don't say "short nail" or ask me if I want to get my eye brows waxed when I walk in the door.... ridiculous how some nail salons are still in business. This is a really nice nail salon. It's clean, spacious, new, and pretty inside. The people working there were very welcoming. I went with a friend and we both got pedicures which included scrubs, calf and foot massage , paraffin wraps, and hot stones. They have comfortable massage chairs and they did a great job with the polish too. There are lots of nice colors to choose from. The prices are super reasonable. First let me tell all that I really appreciated at Kelley's Nails. The space is clean and new with fabulous massage chairs. My pedicure was very good with wonderful attention to detail. Three coats of color would have been ideal but two was ok. At this point I was very happy with my experience. As I was sitting letting the polish dry, I was shocked to see that all four of the manicurists were using the same tools over and over with NO sanitation in between. The tubs were simply emptied of water and refilled for the next person. I was horrified as I never want to get nail fungus or worse yet a disease from unsanitised equipment. Please note that the pumice stones and nail files can not be sanitized and yet are used over and over as well. I wonder if they have a sterilization unit for the tools as I suspect the board of health would insist they use it. Sadly, I won't be going back. read more

Very rude attitude for very low quality nails. The gentleman working there on 6/25/16 was extremely unpleasant and obviously has no idea of how to do a basic set of acrylic nails. When the power went out and he was unable to finish he still tried to charge my little sister for un-filed, un-painted nails. The pedicure is good value for price paid, especially considering that you can walk in without an appointment. I showed up right when they opened on a Sunday and had no wait. They did get busy pretty quick, and it was a little awkward as one of the employees tried to call her daughter to come in and help due to volume. Also it was a little awkward when the gentleman doing my pedicure started arguing in another language with the manager. The language barrier was difficult to navigate, I could not understand the difference that they tried to explain to me between the three different types of pedicures available. Maybe if they had it described in more detail on the written list of services, that would help. I opted for the highest level because it was only $40 and it was good, but I think I would just get the $35 spa pedicure instead next time. Not a spa experience, but very clean and efficient. Nails look great and feet feel good. I would return if I wanted service last minute. For when have more time to plan in advance, I would go to a higher end place instead. read more

The spa mani and pedi was good. The pedicure was relaxing and long. They took their time with the massage. The mani was pleasant but didn't live up to the expectation after my toes. I got a manicure and it chipped within less than 24 hours. In fact, I noticed it was chipped less than an hour after I left the salon! As for customer service, they are extremely kind and welcoming. The manicure, though, was subpar. And the facilities were quite worn and dirty. We made an appointment for 2:00 and got there at 1:57. Not one minute later, two other people came in saying THEY had an appointment for 2:00 and the another couple came in saying that they, too were promised a 2:00 appointment. After a couple seconds of awkwardness the manager told us we had to leave and we could come back in a half an hour. We were very irritated but fifteen minutes later we called to confirm that they could at least take us half an hour after hour scheduled appointment and they said that it would STILL be a half an our, even though they had said that fifteen minutes prior. Interior is clean and bright, and the staff was nice, but manicure-wise I thought it was a pretty shoddy job (did shellac - bubbles in my nails, etc) and my friend had her cuticles scraped off so intensely that she was bleeding a little and in pain. Clean, quick, quiet and super friendly! Sure it's not a fancy day spa, but if you're looking for a decent, affordable nail salon, this definitely fits the bill. Everything was squeaky clean, and mostly brand new. No loud TV or shouting back and forth.
