Two things matter most in a nail salon: quality of manicure and customer service. I have been known to overlook a mediocre manicure if I get great customer service, but I will never overlook poor customer service even if the manicure is amazing. From my first visit at this salon I've gotten both: a great manicure and great customer service. This past summer (2017) the salon got new management and while the previous owners left me with no complaints, I really like the new owners. They do a real, thourough manicure each time - work on my cuticles, quality gel application, and a nice little hand massage with oil after. Sometimes they even give a shoulder massage, which took me by surprise the first time, but now I look forward to it. Recently in the last year, I wanted to start getting my nails done at places that were smaller and more personalized, and this is as personalized and private as it gets! When we first walked in, Lucy made us feel very welcomed and at ease. You are the only person there and all the attention is focused on you. Lucy was so accommodating that she let my mom and I come in together and hang out with each other. Lucy is very funny and keeps the conversation going. Her attention to detail is amazing, as I was getting a more complicated design. She has a lot of patience and wanted to get the design just right and make sure I was happy without rushing. You can tell that she really enjoys what she's doing through her work. I already booked my refill with the same nail design even before I left Lucy's place for a refill for for my gel-x tips and design. Although there are nail salons that are much closer to me, driving half an hour is definitely going to be worth it to me each time to get my nails done at Lucy's for more gel-x tips and gel pedicures! Elise Hamilton is one of the best in her field! She's very hip and does an amazing job w/short edgy cuts. If you want to get risky with a cut and color she's happy to take you there. (While still making you and your hair look great!) What makes her such a pro is that she listens to what the client wants while taking into consideration their features and lifestyle and what would work best for them. She works hard to incorporate all of these elements into your cut/ color b/c Elise knows giving an amazing haircut is only half the battle. She understands the real challenge is making the cut easy for the client to maintain and looking good once they walk out the door. This is what makes Elise such a stand out in her field and invaluable stylist.
