IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR NATURAL NAILS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have healthy natural nails that i get gel on regularly. Came here when my normal salon was closed and I was in a pinch for a set that week. Well its been about 3 weeks since I got my nails done here and they currently are all broken off, polish free with only strengthener on them. She filed the living sh** out of my natural nail bed and when I told her ITS HOT and kept pulling my hand away she kept saying 'its okay'. ITS NOT OKAY - MY NAILS ARE F***ED UP!!!! I literally have to wait for my entire nail bed to regrow bc she managed to give me hot spots on every single nail and they are continually breaking off because they're weak. I WANT TO CRY EVERY DAY. DO NOTTTTTT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Very nice people. They do a good job and will make sure they take care of you. One of my nails broke and they fixed it for free, super helpful. They also give a discount for students. Great location if you live in the Northampton area. read more

I have had my nails done at Noho Nails at least five times and they have come out beautifully each time. Andy has done them four out of five times and his work is the best. As long as the results remain the same I will keep going back. read more

No matter how desperate you are, do NOT go to this place! They drilled and scraped my healthy nails into a peeling broken mess, used unclean tools, refused to listen to my requests, and overcharged me. I'm praying I don't get an infection. These pictures below are 24 hours after paying $75 to have my nails ruined. Do yourself a favor - DONT GO HERE! read more

Noho Nails - full set - Nail Salons Near Me - Northampton, Massachusetts

I can see why this place may get lower ratings for its lack of decor and echo-y setting, but I'm giving 5-stars because I got the BEST full set of my life here. My natural nail beds are a little crooked and I have typically had issues with nail techs applying nails to highlight how crooked they are... but the young man who did my set was SO meticulous and neat, these nails are the nicest I've ever had! It took quite a while (roughly and hour and 15) for him to finish, but I honestly was so pleased with the results that I will absolutely come back and do it again. And truly everyone was so nice, you can tell they know what they're doing and care a lot read more

This is my go to place. I'm not picky and they're no frills. Go in knowing what you want and they'll give you exactly that! Love them and continue to go back each time. read more

I went in to get gel tips. I asked for mid-length. They were $45 (I still tipped, of course) and made me real sad because I don't get my nails done often, and this set looked like I stuck chewed up bubblegum on my nails. My new technician said my nails looked "pregnant" they were so thick. They used so much glue that they took almost an hour to fully remove. If I'm being fair, I came in a little over an hour after close without an appointment. They definitely let me know how they felt about it. 0/10 would Not recommend. read more

Noho Nails - $45. Looks like I put bubblegum on my nails. :( - Nail Salons Near Me - Northampton, Massachusetts

They do an alright job... when they're open. Twice now they have been closed during hours that they should be open for unspecified reasons. Not even a sign on the door. Extremely unprofessional. read more

I decided to give them a try even after reading all the reviews because I needed a cheap acrylic fill on a college students budget. I was so disappointed not only in what they did but also in how they treated me. When I went back to get my acrylics removed they started to rip them off instead of soaking them, so I asked for them to not do that and take the time to soak my nails. Their reaction was unheard of, they were so rude to me for simply asking for them to spend a little extra time so that my nails wouldn't be damaged completely. Their salon is definitely not clean, their utensils don't look like they've been cleaned and there are little flies flying around everywhere. Just go somewhere else. Don't even give it a try. read more

This is NOT a high-end spa experience -Lucky Nail is the salon that regular working folks in Northampton go for regular mani-pedi service at an affordable price (under $40). Manis are lost lasting, and they offer regular manicure, gels, airbrushing etc. There is a row of 6 massage chairs waiting for pedicure clients. I haven't used it, but they also offer lip and brow waxing. The quality of the work is good, materials are sterilized, and the salon is clean and comfortable, if not luxurious. Walk ins are welcome -- if there is space on the schedule. The owner and employers are immigrant Asian-Americans, so this isn't a good place if you have strong prejudices against people with languages and accents other than American English. If you are looking to be pampered, choose one of the pricier spas. If you want to be impeccably groomed at an affordable price, I'd recommend Lucky Nails. read more

Used to get my nails done here frequently cuz it's close and it's usually a good job. Some of the techs are better than others. I was never motivated either way to post a review until this week. When I stopped in at Luckys Tuesday night I was told they were too busy. The owner offered me a slot with Jenny later that evening at 5:30. I agreed and she put me in the book. Imagine my surprise when I showed up for my appointment and the girl at the desk asked me to take a seat. Confused as to why Jenny was elbow deep in a deluxe pedicure- I was brushed off with the excuse "we only have two people that can do fills tonight". Why did I make an appointment and come back!?! Not so I could sit ignored 25 minutes - that's for sure. I left and never looked back. Thanks to the fact that there's competition in town finally.....yay! read more

I made a last minute appt one morning on a weekday and had dip powder done by Ha. I've had them for 3 weeks and they haven't chipped or cracked! He was also really sweet and a pleasure to talk to. read more

Due to people's apparent passive aggressiveness on yelp and immaturity I will keep this short. Conveniently located in Northampton. Nice people. Wasn't completely satisfied. My expectations are never high as I am used to quick $10 manicures from local nail salons in Boston. I found it a bit overpriced. If you're fine paying whatever it is that they charge now, then by all means, go. read more

Not bad, but not the best. I've been here many times, and it's nice when you just need a quick, cheap ($25) not too terrible-looking, gel manicure. They've cut my cuticle a few times, but I never got any horrible infections from that, so it could be worse I guess? I actually enjoy going into a place, asking for a simple one-color gel mani, and then not needing to interact with the person really beyond that, and I get exactly that here. They don't really pay attention to you, they just go through the motions and paint the nails, and that's fine by me. If I did want something fancier (or, tbh, a pedicure) I would probably go elsewhere. read more

Yep - other reviewers hit the "nail" on the head (GET IT?!). This place is quick, pretty cheap, and located right downtown. It's not luxurious, and it won't be the best pedicure you've ever had, but they'll get the job done when you're in desperate need. $25 for pedicure, $35 for mani/pedi combo. Mostly OPI or lower quality polish brands. No Essi. read more

The gel manicure that I got there totally wrecked my nails. A few of them split in two and broke down to below the nail line. I was a walk in and if I had read some of the reviews I wouldn't have gone. I agree that they were rude. I would go back in and show them the damage but I can't imagine there is anything to do about it. read more

I was originally skeptical about coming here after reading the reviews and since it's the only place downtown I gave it a try anyway. I am not a nail expert but I have come twice, once for a refill and once for full set acrylic and left satisfied both times. I always look for Jenn now since she is the only person who has done my nails there and she is a delight and does very well. read more

I had a good experience here on a Friday night when they gave me a pedicure after a busy week on my feet. No complaints.

This use to be my go to salon, I even went to them before they moved to their current location (use to be in Roundhouse plaza). I haven't been there in years since moving away, and I don't remember the salon being so dirty. The first thing I noticed was nothing was put on cuticles for soaking, so no pushing back the extra skin that forms on the nails, just got them soaked in plain cold water. Next she pulled out a nail file that she had to bang off nail dust. Nail dust from other people, kind of gross. The nail buffer had white marks all over it so it wasn't new. When she did the cuticles she pulled the metal tool out of a random drawer, not sealed in anything, so you know it hasn't been sanitized. Though the circles did look good it felt like she was pulling them instead of just clipping them. The nail shape and polish came out okay. Only get a 20 second run down at the end. What is worrying me now is under my thumb nail is extremely painful and is throbbing. Was not like that before I went into the salon so let's hope for the best. read more

Went here a few times because it's convenient and you don't need an appointment. Will not be going back. Not all nail techs are the same. Today, however, I was more dissatisfied with my experience than usual. All the instruments were dirty and rusty, not properly cleaned that's for sure and on top of it, he did a horrible job with the manicure itself - very uneven color among other things. I would rather pay 5 bucks more and not feel like i wasted time and money and put myself at risk of getting some infection. read more

I got my nails done here once & never again. I was very dissatisfied. They didn't do a good job with my cuticles, and they reused their nail files & buffers, etc. Kind of unsanitary in my opinion. In comparison to other nail salons nearby the area, they have the cheapest prices; HOWEVER based on the quality of service, I felt a little gypped. read more

Roughly handling, rushed, and a poor job: For years, I went to Lucky Nails, but no longer. These days the nail techs don't seem interested in providing an excellent service-- rather, they want to get customers in and out. The result: a sloppy job with uneven coats of polish or edges of the nails missing polish. The final straw was how repeatedly careless the nail tech was with the sharp tools. Even though I said, "Ouch --that hurts", he continued to scrape and scrape where the nail meets the skin, causing me to bleed. And, no apology given. Just a shrug. I'll never go back. read more

This place is terrible! I went twice for a full set of acrylics and was disappointed both times. I wanted the coffin shape and they just looked uneven and hideous. I will not be returning! read more

Normally I don't publicly shame businesses BUT I can't help myself this time. When I first went to Lucky Nails in Northampton they charged me $30 for acrylics; which is totally reasonable. They do an okay job. The following few times, they charged me $50. I thought it was weird that they so drastically increased the price but I kept going for the convenience of it. Two days ago I went back and I had a nail tech I'd never had before and she filed my skin off in two places. Frankly, she also couldn't paint nails to save her life. they charged me $65. I paid it and tipped and I couldn't be more mad at myself for it. Don't waste your time or money. read more

If you need a fast manicure, this is the place to go. Just make sure to come in with low expectations, and you won't be disappointed. This is not a spa. It's a cheap mani-pedi place. The technicians are not interested in you, which is the way I like it. They are professional and sterilize their tools, have a decent selection of colors, and are fast. What else do you need? read more

I had the shortest pedicure of my life. It lasted ten minutes. I expected to be massaged, etc for a least 20. They rushed with everything they did. The nails turned out okay.. but I expected better. while we we were drying they started vacuuming and cleaning... They were a good 30 minutes away from closing time. the atmosphere was not good read more

Made an appointment over a week out. Takes me 45 minutes to drive there. She tells me that she won't take me. And that it's too busy. (It was not.) The woman that I normally see was done with her customer at 6.30pm and went in the back room to avoid me. The salon closes at 7.30pm. There was more than ample time to do a quick color change. Since it was for two appointments, I still waited for my friend to do her nails and it took over 2 hours for a gel manicure and pedicure that came out bumpy and crooked. They told me to come back the next day and to make an appointment. I made an appointment a week out. What is the point of making an appointment if it isn't kept? read more

This was definitely not a high-end spa as other reviewers have mentioned . I was really rushed to pick a color (I basically walked in and was told to sit at a table before I had even picked a polish). I was getting a gel manicure and the colors were held by the manicurist and I was expected to point and pick a color in under 20 seconds. I asked for my nails to be shorter, which I was told could not be done. Basically the whole manicure was rushed and I did not feel comfortable. This was the quickest manicure of my life and not worth the money. read more

I give this place one star because the staff is very rude and careless to your nails. They try to get it done as quickly as possible and to communicate to you To relax your hand they are very rude. I will bee go back due to rudeness, dirty tools, and fast pace manicure. read more

This is the worst place to get yourself treated they are super rude never on time even when you make an appointment just the worst I'll never go back there read more

Most of the staff here is extremely friendly and they all do a great job. I usually go in the middle of the day and never have a problem with walking in without an appointment. I have gone around the 5 o'clock hour before and they had to turn a few walk ins away because it was so busy. Overall the place is clean, nothing fancy, and the prices are average to those of other similar nail salons in the area. I prefer going to lucky's because I'm always happy with their work and it's convenient location. read more

Unfortunately for me, my experience at this nail salon would be the last. The nail technician that worked on my nails did such a sloppy job. She was trying to do a "fast and furious" basic manicure. Last but not least, one of the technician added liquid nail remover in one of a client nail polish, instead of taking a new one... read more

I tried them twice, thinking that I shouldn't judge them by just one experience. I had different staff each time but the same results. The manicure was mediocre and the customer service was terrible. In a word, they are very rude. I will never go back. read more

Northampton IS an affluent community now (although it hasn't always been) and I do think that means you develop expectations about what kind of experience you get when you patronize a business. That is why I like Lucky Nails Northampton - it is lacking in unnecessary fluff. Now, I like unnecessary fluff - I am strongly pro unnecessary fluff - but sometimes it is nice to just have a relaxing experience and feel well taken care of . . . And to get a pedicure that lasts for weeks. I often find that people do not understand what I say. Well, okay, not often, but I soemtimes speak too quickly or mumble, and more than the average person I have to repeat myself. Not at Lucky Nails. They understand me always. I don't know, maybe we have a similar mumble! read more

So I went to lucky nails in northampton for my birthday and got the shellac. 2 days letter my color polish went from purple to gray. So I went back to redo my nails. The just put diffrent purple over the bad nail polish. It was So thick that the shellac popped right off my nails.I went back to fix again all this in a week and they said I have to pay. But I didnt end up paying. The owner looked up the nail polished used and it was on the list of bad and was discontinued. So again so not my fault. I went back today to get them done and the owner look at me and said no they will not wait on me becuase I am a problem and they waste money on me. And she does not feel comfortable doing my nails. I was asked to leave becuase I was not welcome. I have been going there for a year. How was the bad polish my fault. read more

Used to go to this salon regularly, but not anymore. The owner always has a very nasty and rude attitude, and it's no wonder why the best nail technicians do not stay long. Spas and salons should have a welcoming and friendly environment. The prices are low, but you get what you pay for. read more
