The owner is a fast talker and speaks lies. They were supposed to install roofing and after having to mail checks and wait for them to clear, they still don't do the work! We wasted months. I had 3 comparable quotes, I suggest going with anyone else! read more

The poorest customer service ever. I wasted 2 months waiting for work to get done. When they showed up, he said they can't do the work! There are so many good roofers in Austin, I recommend trying a different company! read more

Highly recommend Keith Barker Roofing, we experienced good communication and a timely appointment. Service was excellent and they did a great job, will use again and highly recommend. Thanks for a job well done! read more

Keeping your roof in tip top shape is important. This is why I only recommend Keith Barker Roofing to inspect, repair and maintain my roof. Make sure to schedule a two year maintenace to make sure your roof stays sealed and protected from the Texas elements. Keith Barker Roofing is the only company I trust to repair and maintain my roof. read more

I've been using Keith Barker Roofing for 30 years and have always been very happy with their work. They recently handled our roof and other items after a severe hailstorm. They provided quotes, delt with the insurance company, had really good work crews and did fast, quality work. There was no delay waiting a long time for shingles to be delivered, like several of my neighbors who used other roofing companies. And their communication with me, the insurance company and suppliers was always handled well. I was never left wondering what was happening. Good people make a good company, and they have both. read more

They did our original roof in 2018. Long story short, we had a leak because certain areas were done wrong. Luckily we were still in the 1 year warranty period of a new construction home, but we had to have a the carpet and Sheetrock ripped out of a bedroom and everything was redone. I told the builder that I did NOT want Barker doing the roof repairs. Also, when they were doing the stucco on my neighbors house on a windy day, stucco got all over our iron fence. We called Barker to power wash it because it had a powder coated finish. What did they do? SPRAY PAINTED IT WITH WALMART BRAND PAINT (they left the evidence)!! When we contacted them about it, they claimed it was "special" paint. They had to reimburse us for the cost of the fence so we could have it replaced. read more

Barker Roofing replaced my roof and they were fast, competitively priced, and did high quality / careful work. Their customer service was great. I will definitely be using them again at our next home! read more

This is a terrible company. Dont waste your money or time. They never come out to give a quote. I see im not the only one they did this to. Looking at the past reviews. This company is rude, unapologetic and have poor business ethics. Family owned and you can tell, they all have the same poor attitude. They originally did the roof in 2020 so i thought i would have them come out to fix the leak. I just got the run around and i wasted serval days from work for no one to show up. Yelp should not force you to put even one start for companies like this. Get another Roofer!! read more

As a Realtor, I often need roof inspections, and Keith Barker Roofing always comes through with prompt and professional inspections. They have been in business for years, and that matters when replacing a roof! You want a company that will be around to honor their warranties. I trust Keith Barker Roofing with my own roof and with those of my clients. read more

Do not use this company. I spent 40 minutes walking around the house with them to get an estimate on repairing a leaky roof replacing siding and painting. Weeks later I called and asked why I never received an estimate and they said the person who took it didn't bother to submit it. They said they would contact him and get it. After nothing for another week, I called back and they said he still did not submit it but they will be happy to come back out to create another estimate. After spending the four hour window they gave me, I called back and said no one ever showed up. They said no one showed up because they finally got the original estimate. I asked why wouldn't someone notify me instead of having me take off work and wait needlessly for 4 hours. They had no answer and no apology. Just a condescending attitude. So I asked ok so when will I receive the estimate which is now a full month and several rains later. They said next week. It's been two weeks and I've received nothing. Any contractor that is this flakey before getting the job is a huge red flag. I have no doubt once they started the job the flakiness would only get worse. This company was wrong and rude and unapologetic all at the same time. Do not use them. read more

Keith Barker Roofing is top notch. They've always made sure to do the job RIGHT and at a fair price. I highly recommend using them over anyone else. read more

I could not ask for a better roofing experience. Had great experience with their team. I had water leaking from the roof. Once I called, they came over within just couple of hours for inspection. Small area of roof was damaged. Found blown off shingles from high winds. They took pictures, called the owner (Keith) and infact they fixed the issue right there. Very reasonable. The work was done efficiently and they also followed up on the work done. Great office staff / team. Thank you ! read more

Keith Barker helped me with a large roofing problem I was having.. Tons of construction defect problems from the original builder in 2000. He was able to give suggestions and put together a bid to repair all problems that was waaaaayyy under our $400,000 budget. Because of his company giving us such a good price, we were able to use the leftover money to complete several other deferred maintenance items to the stucco and electrical systems. Thanks, Keith! read more

Wish I could give negative stars. Our builder used Barker Roofing to install a roof in a brand new house. Fast forward 18 months, I am selling the house and the inspection showed INSTALLATION issues with the roof. I contacted Barker to get these resolved (under warranty) and have been getting the run-around of all run-arounds. The new family is waiting to close and I can't get this company to get out and FIX THEIR ERRORS. I call and can only talk to the receptionist and when I ask to talk to the guy in charge ("Don") I am told that "We do not allow calls to get through to Don". Is that how you run your business? I cannot un-recommend this company strongly enough. read more

They misled us into believing they were the company that did the original work on our house during construction. It was in fact the fathers company that did the work. Then they repaired the leak without testing it with water. When I called I was told" it happens all the time", referring to the confusion. Very sketchy business practice to say the least!! read more

Do not do business with these guys. Our builder used Barker Roofing to install the roof in a brand new house. 36 months later, I am selling the house and the inspection showed INSTALLATION issues with the roof, they want me to pay them $175.00 just to get on their schedule read more

There were some warranty issues with the roof within a 1 year total home warranty. The scheduled with me to come out and address the problems on Tuesday and never showed up. When I contacted them they apologized and rescheduled for Friday. They never showed on Friday and after I called them they said it was because they had leaks they had to fix elsewhere and would come out Monday. It is now Monday and they've no showed again. They have now no showed on me 3 times. Each time I've had to take off work to be here for them to fix my roof. These people are horrible, unreliable and do not stand behind their work. DO NOT use Barker Roofing. It seems they are too busy trying to chase new work to take care of warranty issues. Clearly they do not stand behind their work. read more

Everything they did looks great. They replaced the roof on my house and also the metal roof over my back patio. Unfortunately every time it rains, the rainwater backs up on the metal roof and pours inside of the patio. After a representative coming out to look at the roof and admitting to the mistake, the company is asking me to pay for them to come fix it. After two calls to them, they will not return my calls. I finally got in touch with someone today to tell me that the owner will be there tomorrow. They have admitted to their own mistake, but will not warranty their labor or product. Their customer service is great while they are trying to get your money. However, after the initial job is done, do not expect the same. read more

OMG, total nightmare. These people were so stupid. I had a contract stating paid in full and they were still threatening to send me to collections for $900. The only competent one was their lawyer who relized I was right and it nearly came down to a lawsuit. Totally unprofessional and RUDE staff. Will NEVER recomend or use them again. After nearly a year of fighting their lawyer agreed they were stupid and dropped the collections and threatening letters etc. I wouldn't have these people put a roof on my dog's house! read more

I had a really favorable, refreshing experience yesterday. There are some renovations being done to the complex where we live. While working on the roof, I believed the roofers got some sort of adhesive on my car a couple of weeks ago. After a couple of calls, Tim Gandy, Commercial Project Manager for Keith Barker Roofing and Solar called and we arranged to meet. He didn't have an accusatory attitude. He made me feel very comfortable, understood my concern, and knew that I REALLY didn't want to involve either of our insurance companies. He went to his truck, got alcohol swabs and a rag, and very carefully started to remove the adhesive (or whatever it was). It actually started to come off, but my paint didn't! Mr. Gandy didn't have to do that. He wasn't even sure if it was his guys who got the gunk on my car. I really appreciated that and was also glad that I approached the situation in a very positive way. I was friendly to him and didn't accuse he or his company of anything. I think that really helped, too. I honestly can't vouch for their roofing work, but if they treat their customers like they treat crazy ladies who call arbitrarily about adhesive on their cars, I'd call them if I needed them. read more

My experience with Barker Roofing was excellent. They communicated quickly over email and phone. They arrived when they said they would. And, they completed the job ahead of schedule and on budget. There were no suprises, only happiness. On to the project... They renovated my home office by repainting interior and exterior walls, installing new wood trim and windows and resurfacing the stucco. The proposition of having giant holes cut in my house was unnerving, but Nathan and Juan, the co-foreman, planned and coordinated the project so carefully that the new windows were installed minutes after the holes were cut. And, my walls were patched the same day, which would have prevent any rain damage. I wish every contractor had the same high level of coordination amongst their crews. Another plus is they stuck to their timelines. When I was told, "X will happen on Monday." X happend on Monday. Everything they said happened in the order they said it would. What a huge relief. It's been 4 months since my room was refurbished and I'm still singing their praises. I highly recommend them! read more

We had our roof checked by Keith Barker Roofing today. They already sent us a detailed roof evaluation with pictures that we were able to turn into our insurance company for our claim. They were on time and professional. Highly recommend. read more

I have mixed feelings about my experience with Barker Roofing. I contacted them to redo my roof after a huge hail storm. Getting them to give me a quote, and scheduling the job was relatively painless. They finished in about 1.5 days (a ~1750 sf single story), and did a pretty good job of cleaning up after themselves. No oil stains in the driveway from their truck. Overall, the workmanship seems pretty good. I did I ask them to come back because of a handful imperfections (poorly sealed corners). They came promptly and walked over the entire roof, also identifying and fixing a few places that I couldn't see from ground level. However, shortly later, I contacted about some damage done during the shingle delivery. The delivery truck cracked part of my driveway. I contacted Barker multiple times over three months to try to get this fixed, but I just kept getting the runaround. They told me to contact the roofing supply company, which I did, who then told me that they had talked to Barker and that Barker would be handling it from their end. I contacted Barker and heard nothing. I don't know for sure who was telling the truth, but since I have a business relationship with Barker, I would expect some communication. I've gotten pretty fed up with trying to chase this down, and I have yet to hear from them again. So my parting thoughts are that their roofing work seems pretty solid so far (3 months later), but it seems that their stated commitment to customer satisfaction only applies up to the point that they get your money. read more

Update 2018- I had my roof repaired in 2010 and I now have a leak. I had 3 different roofing companies come by and give me an estimate to fix the leak and they all told me that my roof looks good but the vents were the vents that came with the house when it was built 15 years ago. It's standard to replace all the roof vents when you replace the roof because pulling up a plastic vent that has been nailed and glued to the roof and reinstalling damages the vent. Well duh. Barker charged me for new vents but used my old vents. I called Barker and they told me tough. My 5 year warranty ran out three years ago. So now I'm looking at $1600 to replace all my events. Do not use Barker. They're terrible. read more

I requested an estimate on complete roof replacement from this company. The estimator was on time and quite professional. He said I should have an estimate that afternoon in my email. Fast forward 5 days.... I called to inquire about my estimate and it was not completed. Fast forward another 4 days. Still not ready. I'm moving on to another company. Apparently, they don't need my business. read more

Do not use I repeat do not use. This company does not stand behind their warranty they're so busy they won't have any time to take care of their customers. My house is only 3 months old and my roof started leaking and yesterday storm I called that day to see if someone can come out no answer when I caught the next morning the lady told me at the front desk that they have turned my phone call over to the proper person and someone will be contacting you shortly it's been 5 hours roof still leaking and still no contact finally I got in touch with a management person and she also told me that my house is far away that they will see when they can get somebody out there if I could give it to your 0 stars I could do not put your life investment read more

0 stars really. Worst roofing company experience ever. This company reached out to me via Home Advisor, but then took 2 weeks to come out and do an estimate. it's been a month since that visit and still no estimate. I have called, complained and requested that estimate 7 times. Nobody ever emails or calls back. They are clearly a disorganized mess. read more

We used contractor Thomas Dragoo from this company to do some external painting, 1 room painitng, sheetrock repair on ceiling, window replacement and caulking. Except window replacement that was subcontracted by him, the rest was, softly speaking, a mess. He hired a crew that tried to cut corners everywhere. They even tried to paint walls without removal of fixtures (yes, around them). The quality of work is very low. Materials used are probably in par with the quality of work. After a couple of months, ceiling looks almost the same as before - has cracks in the same places. read more

Keith Barker Roofing did a great job on my roof. I needed a repair done quickly, as rain was in the forecast. They came out the day I called and we agreed on a price and they sent someone out the next day. WIthin 2 days I had a repair that was done professionally. They prepared the roof for the patch, hauled away all debri, and did it at my home quietly and quickly. I would recommend and use them again. Thank you Keith Barker Roofing and Solar. read more

Yikes -- thinking these people must have a business for "nothing better to do" since I contacted them for an estimate for some drywall repair & gutter work. The guy came out and went thru all the work I had and said he was only an "estimator" and the office would send me the proposal. That was 2 weeks ago and I have never heard back from them. No phone call, no email...NO THANK YOU! Eek! Methinks not :-) read more

I am a contractor so I am very hesitant to give a bad review about another but Keith Barker Roofing is so bad I will make an exception. First of all I have one property where the work was performed by Barker roofing when the father was involved and the work was done well. Now 7 years later the father is no longer involved and now the new entity is Keith Barker Roofing. So I called KBR and arranged for estimate of work. Date was set I was to be called within a range of hours no call came I called a few times left messages no returned call. Called again was told estimator had been out and the job "was on Keith's desk" and I could expect a call in a few days. There has been some heavy rains so I understand how busy a roofing company can be with water emergencies. Two weeks passes I call again and the girls answering phone are embarrassed as it seems there are many people not getting calls returned. They now know me by name and tell me Keith is not in another message is on his desk. They gave me his email and assured me he is just busy but I'll hear from him so after wasting 6 weeks on this company I called Jamar roofing. I called in the afternoon and sent an email with pictures. I get a response that evening from Denny. Denny says he will be there 4pm next day. Following day he calls me at noon and says his scheduled was open he could come at 1pm I could not meet him but he said don't worry he could find the leaks. He said I would have estimate for work Sunday. Sunday came estimates arrived with probably 10 pictures of the areas that need attention. He said if I agreed to sign bid and return by email and he would fix within the week. Signed and done. This is how you run a successful business. Prompt responses and you do what you say you are going to do and if your busy or too busy to get to a customer you tell them that. Although I have not had the work performed by Jamar yet thus far they've demonstrated they know how to run a business. They also did not ask for deposit which is also a good sign of a financially healthy company. While I can not fully endorse Jamar Roofing until the work is performed I can wholly recommend that you avoid Keith Barker Roofing for the reasons stated above. I would certainly never consider paying a deposit in advance to Keith Barker Roofing for the same reasons stated above. So while this may or may not be the norm for KBR it is certainly a reason to approach a business dealing with caution. read more

I recently has some repairs done to my roof. I must say that Keith Barker Roofing staff and techs did a fantastic job. We have a gutter that is under warranty. The gutter is leaking at a seam. Barker Roofing sent someone out to verify the problem and told us that they would be calling within a couple of days to schedule an appointment to fix the issue. They didn't call back. It took several calls until they realized that they had already been out here once to verify the issue. Now after several additional calls and emails we have made no progress. Barker Roofing is very disorganized and if you don't want to waste a lot of time I would recommend going with another company. read more

I would never recommend this company. They get zero stars as far I as am concerned. The employees are all inept. Nathan does not stand by his work. It took them 3 tries to get the stucco color right. They never did we just settled. We needed some repair done on the stucco and they said they couldn't match it. WTH! They made the color up to begin with. read more

Had Barker as sub-contractor on remodel fall 2012. Site supervisor made a comment that "I WIN" to customers face during a discussion concerning ridge vents. Somehow when the crew was here, some 70-80 limes disappeared from our trees the same day the crew was here late. Did not bother saying anything to Rebecca Barker as by her own self admission she/the office does not communicate with the crew. GAF product is fine. Wish we would have had another installer than Barker due to the lack of customer service and follow-up on the day of install. Do your self a favor, look closely at their crews and work. read more

My one-star review is on their service, although I never got a chance to use them. I called a few months ago to get an estimate on a skylight, solar tubes and a gutter. Someone came out, took measurements and photos and said they would get an estimate to me. After two weeks, I called to see when the estimate would be coming. I was told that I would have it via email that day--it never came. A week later, I emailed the owner, Keith Barker, and never got a response. I called again last week and asked for Keith and was given his VM. Left another message and never received a callback. Can't understand why a company would take the time to send someone out to estimate a job and then never give the estimate or return the potential customers's calls or email. I was told they were good roofers, but based on my experience they either have more than enough work or really don't care. Am in the process of trying to find another skylight installer, but based on my experience with Barker Roofing, cannot recommend them to anyone. read more
