Egg tarts and Portuguese egg tarts I tried the cookie-style outside of a Hong Kong egg tart(cookie crust). The yellow custard was smooth and silky, but the butter flavor in the cookie crust was not strong enough. My friend tried the Porytuguese tarts. She said yummy

We stopped by for a last-minute birthday cake for my father-in-law. We came here specifically because I know their cakes are not overly sweet; my wife got me a birthday cake from another location last year, and my in-laws loved it while I hated it. I figured they would like one from here. My father-in-law didn't want a cake for his birthday, but I still wanted to get him something. They were all out of cakes, so we were about to leave when my wife suggested we get individual cakes instead. We got a few chestnut and strawberry cakes. They were okay, but not my favorite; however, my in-laws liked them. I wouldn't come here for cakes personally, but for non-sweet-loving relatives, this is the place to go. The staff were very kind and helpful!

A reliable bakery that has tasty pineapple buns, hot dog buns, & bbq pork puff pastries. I've been coming here for years and love picking up pastries from here for the family because there's something for everyone to enjoy. They can run out before end of day, so would recommend calling ahead to see!

This review is specifically for one of their birthday cakes, the napoleon taro . The visuals don't disappoint! This was a monster of a cake. Fed 20 people easily. Friend ordered it in advance for a party. Taste wise, it could've been a little more moist. The taro layer wasn't as creamy as we'd like but I appreciated the use of ACTUAL taro (not the artificial stuff). The napolean layers were crispy. The cake as a whole wasn't too sweet. The middle cake layer is dry without the cream that the sides had. The fruit was a great touch. Cheaper than other places for similar cakes so overall a good deal!

I ordered this birthday cake for my boss two weeks ago. The lady on the phone was very nice. No deposit needed. I could just order the cake on the phone and tell them when I was going to pick it up. Decent price. Cake is so fresh and delicious. I will definitely go back to order this bday cake again whoever I know love chestnut bday cake.

Egg tarts! Tried two of each. Original has that barely-sweet egg-pudding filling. Crispy is the same with a crunchier crust, but I think the original is fine. Portuguese is sweeter and has a more caramelized texture. They're good, just make sure you like egg because these are very egg-y. They make solid bread-pastries as well. Can't go wrong with a good pineapple bun. All good here, and I'm glad I got to try the OG place. Will be back for mooncakes when the season starts.

Kee wah eggtart never disappoints. We got both portugese and traditional hk. Both are good, depends what you like. They're around 2.25-2.50 each- not super cheap but worth it. The lady staffs are all so nice. It's custardy but not runny. The eggy flavor is just right. And the tart's hold up well. Nice little breakfast with coffee or afternoon snack. The bread is all fully stocked with a lot of variety too. Very affordable and so far everything taste good. This one is the MPK location. Kinda hidden, located in the 99ranch plaza.

It's almost moon festival, kee wah has their own brand of moon cake for sell. Kee wah is also a good brand in Hong Kong. One regular moon cake is around $16, and the tiny one is $6.75. during this time I don't see any birthday cake on sell because the display are now filled with moon cakes. The minimum charge to use a credit card is $15 dollars.

One of the things I gotta get used to in LA is the open malls they have here. They have a lot of shops lined up like this. This is my first time in Kee Wah Bakery since they don't have this chain in NYC. I was trying to find a non flaky crust egg tart and this was the only place that had it. It was a bit pricey but was super delicious. It was the best I had in LA so far. The other thing I tried were the Pineapple Cakes. Apparently they make it themselves. The filling was good but the cookie dough was a bit too dry for my tastes. They also sell homemade moon cakes which I didn't get to try. I would love to come back here next time I visit the area. I wish they open early. They don't open until 9:30am and close early too.

I consider myself a milk powder bread connoisseur and they have one of the best ones I've ever had. The bolo on top is sweet and crumbly without being overly greasy and has a generous filling of milk powder.

    So many pastries!

Expensive and tasteless sums it all. Will not buy over priced items on their shelf.

[Space]: The space is separated into a bookstore at the front with various art books and a rotating art exhibit (Wicked in March 2026) at the back. All art on display is for sale. The bookstore sells mostly art books (both original works and artwork from specific anime, games, or pop culture) as well as various original greeting cards. The jewelry is handcrafted, and many pieces include the artist's name and a short bio, which adds such a personal touch. They also carry candles, bags, greeting cards, and products for men, women, and children. The variety is impressive, and I especially appreciated the large selection of handcrafted items. The associates are friendly, welcoming, and genuine. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and I noticed they recognized and acknowledged repeat customers. That's impressive, especially considering the number of tourists who visit the store. Another thing I appreciated is that they don't overwhelm you with emails. Their emails are event-focused and purposeful, which is refreshing. You're paying for quality, craftsmanship, and unique items you won't find just anywhere. The prices reflect the specialty merchandise they carry and the care that goes into selecting it. Parking... well, it's Pasadena!
