    Lunchbox

Review for to-go lunch box. It is pretty good and perfect for anyone who doesn't have time cook. The lunch boxes comes with rice (you can sub for brown rice), half of boiled egg, vegetables and meat. Pretty much like a home cooked meal by mom. Mines cane with curry so it wasn't too bland. Overall it is good-okay.

Yummy lunch. Mixed box with brown rice

Very good Taiwanese homemade lunch and pastry. So glad I work close by :) I pick up their homemade lunch at least 2x a week. There's always a different variation of brown/white rice with tofu/vege, pork and chicken made different way. I never ask what they serve. I just order a box when I'm hungry :) Their homemade pumpkin bread and flax seed cranberry bread is the best in the world. I don't like to eat a lot of bread, only baguette and the one they have here. Must try if you like an easy place to pick up home cook meals

    Nian gao! (Year cake)
    Heidi L.

The best place to get "nian gao" !!! Or in english, rice cake, year cake, Chinese new year cake. You have to preorder to get the bigger ones (size of a small pie, $12) but they sell tiny individual ones on the spot! I love the nian gao here because it's always soft, chewy, not too sweet, and has the perfect layer of red bean on the bottom! Make sure to eat them in a day or two, they get old fast!

    Are they closing down?

I tried to see if they were open twice in the past 6 months when driving by during business hours; both times they have been closed, so I don't think they are operating anymore.

My favorites, aside from the soup dumpling, were the pork chop fried rice & the dry pot cauliflower. The wait though was long and no where really to wait. We joined the waitlist at 5:30pm thinking that was early enough and ended up waiting an hour. It's not the worst but watching the servers bus the tables and set up was a little painful. They are very slow. Since they just opened, hopefully it'll improve!

Ordered the potstickers, the spicy wontons, the beef noodle soup, and then jiajiang noodles. In order of preference, it is the spicy wontons, the jiajiang noodles, the potstickers, and then the beef noodle soup. What they got right with the spicy wontons was the sauce - spiced, kinda spicy, sour, and also sweet. I could use that sauce on everything. The jiajiang noodles was just a good combo of cool from the cucumbers and the noodles and minced meat were good. The beef noodle soup was fine but I think the soup could've packed a bigger punch. It felt almost watered down but I say the piece of beef were great. Overall, the meal came out to around $65 and it is pretty standard now but $13 for 8 wontons or 8 potstickers just feels a bit nuts still. Overall though, it was a solid meal and I'd recommend coming

From the outside, you can't tell the inside has really good space with booths plus tables and chairs, but it does. They weren't super busy at the time... about 5 tables occupied. I was greeted right away by the one server who was working the entire floor. Interior was clean and well lit. Atmosphere was comfortable. Menu has a variety of options... boiled dumplings, pan-fried dumplings, steamed mini buns, stir-fried noodles, regular noodles, rolls & pancakes, side dishes, rice, soup, and beverages. They also have frozen food to-go (just two items... dumplings and dezhou chicken). I got one Steamed Mini Buns (aka Xiao Long Bao), one Stir-Fried Noodles with pork, one Lamb Noodles Soup (with hand torn noodles), and one Jasmine Green Tea with honey. Yes, this seems like a lot of food for one person. I'm not a stranger to bringing food home for another meal. *Steamed Mini Buns - juicy with flavorful pork filling, adequate skin thickness, good size buns *Stir-Fried Noodles with pork - best dish out of the 3, good balance between pork, veggies, and noodles, mild spice level was perfect, portions were reasonable for the price *Lamb Noodles Soup - great amount of lamb and noodles, lamb was tender, noodles were a tad mushy on the edge... they need to be firmer, soup was savory *Jasmine Green Tea with honey - good size cup, tea was a bit bitter, probably needs more honey Food came out steaming hot and timely. Staff and service were wonderful. Yan, the server, was patient and helpful. He did an amazing job working the entire floor by himself. Thank you Yan! Highly recommend this place for their pan-dried and soup noodles. I would come back for more pan-fried noodles and try their pan-fried dumplings. I have had ones in previous visits that the beef was chewy, not tender. You have a choice of regular noodles or hand torn noodles. Hand torn noodles are more filling since the noodles are much thicker than the regular noodles. They are both good. It is a matter of preference. The minced pork with noodles (aka Jia Jiang mien) is also good. For this visit, I did not order dumplings. But their dumplings are usually good. The service is adequate but don't expect good service.

The sesame sauce was so good and nutty and the chili crisp added a nice extra kick. When I called to make a reservation, the staff explained that the goose dish requires a pre-order and isn't cheap. In fact, the price for half a goose is comparable to ordering a bone-in ribeye steak at a high end steakhouse. However, we are glad we went for it. The goose arrived as a cold cut plate, paired with a special dipping sauce that perfectly balanced the rich, fatty, and flavorful meat. It was my first time having Taiwanese style goose in the US, and it is absolutely worth trying if you have never had it before. The dish also came with a rice noodle soup made with goose oil, which was an excellent bonus. We didn't stop there. From the special lunch menu, we tried the pan fried egg, satay water spinach and lamb, house special braised pork rice, and fried cabbage with egg puff. From the regular menu, we ordered sticky tofu with pork blood cake, steamed cod fish, and sticky rice. The sticky rice was dry and not very flavorful, but everything else hit the spot, especially the mixed pork rice, which was outstanding and highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Taiwanese comfort food. On later visits, we went back for classics like three cup chicken, fried stinky tofu, jalapeño pork, and the Taiwanese cabbage pot. The cabbage pot was a standout, just generous portions, packed with variety, including fish balls, glass noodles, fried pork, and more. Some reviewers mentioned poor service, but our experiences across multiple visits have all been positive. The staff has been attentive, and the prices are very reasonable as long as you stick with the regular menu. Overall, the flavors are authentic, the portions satisfying, the only downside is after eating here I am always feeling thirsty because of MSG, but it won't hurt overall satisfaction and I will definitely keep coming back for more if I am in the area and craving for some Taiwanese cuisine.
