Upon entering the atmosphere was inviting, and greeted imediately. The cashier was polite and quick, but didnt quite know the menu. She had to page the kitchen and ask about my question. I ended up gettin the gyro plate. Expected to get big cuts of real lamb, but it was 4 thin strips like strips of bacon.Tasted processed. I actually enjoyed the hummus more than the gyro. The rice pilaf was good and fluffy. I'm not sure if it was because I got the dish togo and maybe it would of been better if I dined in? Love this place! Every time I come to Madera I have to stop here. I always get the same thing lol the steak Fatoush salad and a chicken shawarma with an extra side of garlic sauce. I always say I'm going to try something else but that's so yummy I can't move on to something else lol. read more

Had lunch with some friends here, and the food was actually pretty good. I ordered the Gyro sandwich and when it arrived I was like "hot damn! This is huge!" It was a bigger than the normal sized gyro sandwiches I've ordered and it was good, the hummus was pretty good too. Best part, they also serve beers. read more

I love it!! My experience here was great! The service was fast and friendly, the food was great, and the ambiance was very relaxed and modern. I tried the vegetarian combo and the tabbouleh, salad, everything was great. I hadn't had falafel in a couple of years (which another place down the road once declined to serve because they were "short staffed") and the hummus was so creamy. I'm almost certain the pita bread was fresh (it was warm when they brought it to our table) and the walnut baklava was yummy. Over time the quality has gone down and the customer service is lacking. I used to come here at least 3-4 times a month for lunch but today will be the last day I ever go. Arrived at 12, was told they did not have chicken shawarma but had the chicken fatoush salad. Three other people I came with ordered after me. They all received their food, I received nothing. Other customers started getting food, still nothing. I went up to the counter asked about my food and they said they were sorry they would get right on it. 10 minutes later, still nothing. Went back up to the counter to check again and I was told sorry, we are out of chicken. Umm, seriously. I waited 30 minutes, no one approached me, my friends all got their chicken but not me. Unacceptable for a kabob place to not have chicken during their lunch rush and not get customers their order. The moment they knew they didn't have chicken they should've came and told me. I was really hoping this place would be good. I really wanted to leave a great review. The staff although not rude yet they weren't friendly either. No greeting at the front counter. Place was freezing cold inside. Food is not cheap there so you expect some good food. The food came out and everything was cold. I mean warm at most. No salt and pepper on the tables. Been here twice now so I'm ready to review this joint. It's my new favorite place with it being so hot outside and they crank up the A/C inside!! The Kabob plates are generously portioned and salad plates (I've tried Chicken and also Steak Shawarma) both have great flavor. My salads came lightly dressed with great tangy flavor but they also give you a yogurt type dressing that I tasted and it was good. The steak was very juicy both times I was here lunch and dinner. The place was pretty busy during my lunch visit only 4-5 tables open (not sure if that's the norm). They had 3 or 4 people manning the kitchen/grill so even with the crowd we got our food in 4 or 5 minutes. Not bad for fresh meat! Haha I do have to say my chicken was a little dry on my salad during previous visit. It didn't wilt my lettuce so I'm assuming my chicken was grilled earlier and chilled so that could add to dryness. This time my chicken was juicy and amazing so I will update my review on my next visit regarding that issue. But being that everything else has such great fresh flavor I refuse to knock a star for one bad chicken bite ;)~ read more

Stopped here on the way up to NorCal. Nothing particularly bad or great about it. Our party got the gyro burger, gyro, and the salmon special. Salmon was cooked and seasoned well, but everything else was moderate. Decent portions for a gyro but that was offset by the relatively higher price for just a gyro. Their gyro burger was an interesting take on a burger but the bun could've used some toasting. read more

Chicken kebab plate is my fave!! So yummy. The chicken is always cooked perfectly and the sauce is delicious. If you're coming for lunch, try to get there before 12 or after 12:45 ish to avoid the long lines. read more

This review is mostly about the service, we find the food to be good, which is why we have continued to give the benefit of the doubt and continue to order their food. With that said, the quality of the service is terrible. they haven't gotten our order right more than once in the last 6 months. We have had to take trips back for them to correct our order repeatedly as they will not refund. Today, I ordered from them on door Dash, hoping that they would do better with a digital print out of our order, but sadly they made more mistakes than normal and completely omitted 2/3rds of our order. I tried to call them to see if we could pick up what they left our, but they wouldn't even answer the phone. Luckily in this instance, door dash reimbursed us, but that was a hassle, so we will just not be dining her in the future. This was enough of a headache that we will be leaving this review on other platforms as well, so others don't have to deal with the same problem. read more

Driving back from Fresno, I kept seeing Gyro billbords along HWY 99 and wanted to find this place. So when ended up following the directions and low and behold I find Kabab Grill. I must say that this place is very modern, clean and has a great atmosphere. Service was good, and the food was great. Their main plates are priced reasonably, but their side (fries, hummus, etc) were on the pricey side. None the less...this is a gem in the rough. read more

As a past employee at Kebab Grill, it is sad to say that this place has gone down hill. I have gone twice this month and both times my orders were wrong. The first time I had a gyro sandwich and I specifically said no onions and I wanted juju instead of Taziki. When I went to go pick up and got home they had EVERYTHING I DID NOT WANT. Today I ordered a Jr Greek burger with NO ONIONS. What happened when I got home? There were onions in it and the fries were cold and stale. Also there is wayyyyyyy more bread than there is patty. After countless times seeing the billboard advertising Mediterranean food, I finally got off the highway to sample their food. I ordered the gyros sandwich which was reasonably priced and was huuuuuuuuuuuge. The sandwich is served a la carte, which is ok because it is a lot of food for one person. Cashier was friendly, place was clean, and food was prepared quickly. The meat was unlike other Med. restaurants. At other restaurants, they carve strips of meat off of a huge piece of meat, but this meat seemed pre-formed and pre cooked and probably fried on a stove to warm it up after you place your order. Because the meat is fried It was dry and not moist. The bread was thin and crunchy. The veggies seemed fresh and crisp. I have had better Med. food, but it is hard to find a Med. restaurant in this area. Definitely would go here if I craved Med food and I was in Madera, but I like the gyros restaurant in Turlock better. read more

I love this place and Madera needs more international restaurants. I got the chicken sharwarma salad and it came with a warm pita bread. My friend got the sandwich which comes with an awesome garlic sauce. My only gripe is that they charge you extra for everything from salad dressing to the garlic sauce and the parking is limited. They do have a drive thru but getting in and out is kinda difficult. Their baklava is amazing. The staff is friendly but depending on when you go the staff the staff may or may not be able to answe your questions - but the cooks can. I am glad we have a Greek restaurant in Madera. read more

Gave Kabob Grill another chance, but staff very rude. I complained about how cold the food was and how over cooked the chicken was. This place is not cheap to eat at, but they expect you to accept whatever they give you. I asked for refund but staff did not give me a refund, manager said they don't give refunds. read more

Honestly i normally never have problems at kebab grill but the last couple times I've gone through the drive through it's been terrible. They advertise they close at 9 but i swear anytime past 6:30 and they just don't want to work anymore. I went through today at 6:30 and we ordered, i could literally see my food through the window be set on the counter but the window girl ditched her station and we'd been waiting there around 10 minutes staring at our food waiting for her to just hand it to us. And the last time i went through, i tried to order a salad with different meat, was told no and frankly the girl had a nasty attitude, so i ordered a regular chicken fatoush salad anyway and figured it's no big deal. I waited forever at the window, finally got the food, went home just to discover it was the chicken plate and rice- not a salad. Urghhhh! If you're gonna have an attitude and mess up my food anyway- just stop being open past 4pm and do yourself a favor read more

Pretty good for a Mediterranean restaurant that has a drive thru. I ordered the gyro plate and the meat was very tender and juicy. The hummus was very tasty with a bit of lemon. The tzataki sauce however could use more work. The rice was decent but it basically tasted like a box of rice a roni. They also had some lettuce that was brown and wilted. All in all for a fast food joint it was good. Especially since I have to come out to Madera quite often it is good to have a quick spot to come eat at that isn't taco bell. read more

It was a bit cool in the establishment....my kids were freezing....but other than that it is very clean and the food was to die for.
