Ok. I wanna be fair about this review. First, I purposely sought out a cheap pedicure spot. I knew this place fit the bill. I needed a budget pedi, because I enjoy using foot peels. After day 6 of my foot peel, my feet should have completely shed it's questionable skin. BTW, highly recommend foot peels. The cure all for rough feet. You will discover the softest your feet have ever been. Never fear rubbin' em against your significant other at night or shredding your expensive bed sheets. So after day 6, I'll take my toes for their quick buff, shine and paint. I've come to KB Nails for just that. A basic pedicure. Five times I've come here and there is always a missed step! My last visit put me over the edge because the girl did not even wash my feet. Nor did she buff my nails before painting. She literally just let them soak, towel dried them, rubbed them down with some lotion; then painted. I was done. I definitely got what I paid for. This experience left me questioning whether ALL the nail techs are even licensed. If you choose to go here, expect to advocate for yourself. You'll need to to do a quality check as your pedicure progresses. Don't come here expecting some quality, luxurious experience. No matter the upgrades you add. And now that they've raised their prices ... I'll definitely be moving on. Definitely a lesson in you get what you pay for. read more

I have been coming to this KB NAILS location for over 12 years and have always had good experiences! I recently started doing dip after TinaLe told me it would make my nails longer and stronger and she was so right! My nails have literally never been this long! I am absolutely loving dip! I was a diehard gel girl before but I find that dip works better for me and I like that it doesn't peel off! I was notorious for peeling off my gel then going back to biting my nails! So this new method works great for me and I love how strong it is! KB also has a TON of colors both gel and dip! So I never get bored! I am big on always trying new colors and I can't wait to try all the amazing new dip colors they got in recently! TinaLe is the only person who has done dip for me and I cannot recommend her enough! I love her! She doesn't do the dip too thick and she always gets the shape exactly how I want it! She's also really helpful explaining how it works and with recommending colors. I have to mention that Cristine is very personable when you're on the phone calling to book your appointment! & I don't recall ever coming in with an appointment and having to wait, which is hard to come by these days elsewhere. Tracy is my go to nail lady!! WOW She is great! She knows my taste in nails/colors and always gives me recommendations that I end up being really happy with Today I met Ana and she gives an amazing pedi experience. After coming here many, many times now and trying other nail salons in between, I know wassup. This place is wonderful, given how big it is, how many techs there are and of course, the pricing. I loved their manis because the girls always take their time cleaning your cuticles, for the most part. And the polish is always clean. What I dislike is that they don't always color close to the cuticle, depending on who you get. And I ALWAYS notice that in about a week, the gel polish starts cracking. And I don't mean pieces of the gel crack off, but the polish starts forming lines of cracks at the tip. I thought this was normal, but after getting gel manis at other places, this doesn't happen. Starting to wonder if the polish here is watered down? If I come here now, it's for the pedi and the price. I have been coming to Christine for close to 10 years.. she is the absolute best and highly skilled in her craft. My gel pedicure can last up to a month which is wild due to wearing sandals and open toe shoes most of the time. The salon is clean and the employees are all very nice. If I could give this place a 0 stars, I WOULD. I used to come here all the time and was always so happy. I came in to get a fill and lets say, the results literally left me in tears. First things first, if a customer tells you that you are hurting them, you should obviously stop!! The nail tech kept the electric file on my nail for so long that he literally burnt through my nail. He then continued to file and I told him it was hurting and he said "oh you're fine". He kept filing until he saw I was bleeding and said how sorry he was. I now have THREE INFECTED FINGERS. And yes, pictures are attached. I had blue acrylic on previously and he told me the red color I picked out would look fine over it. When I saw that all my nails were a different color, I told him I wasn't happy with the color (only two fingers had been painted at this point) and he said it was too late to change my mind.... Then when I went to pay, they asked me why I wasn't tipping after I told them how unhappy I was and showed them how cut up my fingers were. I had good expectations of this place. I was actually recommended from 2 of my clients. so today was my first time here. I simply wanted a pedicure. I have years of getting pedicures, so I know how it pretty much goes. For one, she did not scrub the bottom of my feet and two I simply told her that I wanted acrylic powder on one of my toes nails, because it had broke and it was a lot shorter than the rest of my toenails. Instead of her doing powder, she glued an actual tip, and then apply powder and that nail came out a little crooked. I didn't get clear gel polish over my colored gel polish as the final touch. So sadly to say the actual service and the results were not good I would not go to this place again. They really rush through there work. read more

Despite the reviews of this being the better KB nails, I found the experience to be disappointing. Average prices, subpar but quick service. Only 35 minutes for a mani pedi with gel polish. The massage was painful despite asking to go softer and the manicurist actually ended causing some bleeding. The paint job looked just alright and chipped less than a week later. read more

My first impression came from the Yelp picture of the lady whose finger was filed so sharply that they cut into her skin. I continued to read reviews to give them a chance, as I need a pedi and it's New Year's Day (I hid my toes in boots on NYE.) After all, I found my L.A. place (that I stayed at 5 years) as the only salon open on a holiday. So, let's see. I walk in to a HUGE establishment for nails. There are 28 pedi stations and 28 mani stations! As much as we L.A.ers need pedis for our everyday sandalwear, there is NO establishment this large in the large city. What type of ruckus is going on in Sac? I walk in to an attentive receptionist who barks my request to the back in his native language. Five minutes later, Wendy appears, does not introduce herself, and leads me to a chair. The towel looked dirty, or they need to discover bleach. The chairs are worn but workable--and also in need of a cleaning. There must be weeks of caked up old nail stuff on 'em. Ugh. She did an okay job. I'm peeved with the fact that I asked for a particular color (tuxedo), she specified that it would work with a white background. After gelling all toes white, she then discovers none of the glitters work on top, and ends up wiping my toe of 4 different tries before me having to settle on regular glitter to top the gel. What a mess! My toes look like dirt. I would have chosen another color altogether if I knew the selected color wouldn't work. Gheez! I could have put white out on my own toes and walked through sand. After 90 minutes, my butt hurts from the worn chair with slight cushion. The true test, a few days later. See pics for the awful job proliferated on my toes! And I paid for this? And I had a toe hangnail afterwards? That has never happened! FAIL. read more

Do not get dip nails here. I came here to get dip nails for the first time and in less than 2 weeks, 3 of my nails broke. The first one got chipped in less than 24 hours! I came back the next day and they fixed it. The second and third nail broke in a week. I have been getting dip nails for 2 years and I've never had them break this many times. I went back a second time and they asked me who did them. I told them it was julie. The lady said "dont go to julie" when shes the one who works there. So i asked for someone new to do all of my nails since they clearly know julie is not good with dip nails. She refused. When i asked for a refund they told me they wouldnt do that and nails break all the time, even though they just admitted julie is not good. They said they can fix the nails as they break which is really frustrating because i cant come back everyday as a new nail breaks. I do not recommend this place at all. The lady kept saying over and over again how nails break, which is true but not this fast!! Like i said, i have been getting dip nails for 2 years and they've never broken this fast and this frequently. This place clearly is not able to do dip nails at this time. They will waste your time and money. As i left i asked the lady a simple question about them breaking again, she rolled her eyes and shook her head at me. Terrible. Also their dip colors do not match. See picture for the featured color and the actual color Update: in the day i was drafting this review, a 4th nail broke (painfully). This location is in the perfect center- making it very convenient to come in for all your nail needs. The ambiance has recently upgraded to new table, chairs, decor, and lighting. Not only is it beautiful, but very clean, and everything works! I have been coming here for years! One of the best parts about this place is the friendly/helpful staff- but also the AMOUNT of staff. This is by far one of the only nail salons that I know that has this many people working. There are over 30 chairs for service- this is good if you're someone like me who is always busy and always trying to fit in nail-time. An appointment is suggested, but walk ins are always welcome. Because of the larger staff, I have never been turned away. The staff is very very kind and hardworking. They offer many services- Everything is updated and they have all the latest trends: gel services, powder services, full sets, acrylic services, waxing services. **^there are 2 "KB Nail" title- places but they are Different businesses.
