I am always happy to try a new ramen shop and this one was a unique take on barbecue, east meets wild west. It's joined up with Smokey Joe's where all the smoked meats come from but has it's own table space, albeit small.
Order food and drink from the bar then you will be served in a short time. Bar menu has a great selection of cocktails, American classics like whiskey and even Michelada.
I sampled both the Tonkatsu and Jaguar ramens. I preferred the flavour profile of the Jaguar, slightly spicy with garlic and parmesan flakes. Toppings included corn, bamboo shoots, a full egg, seaweed and a big slice of bbq pork.
There were a lot of noodles, could not finish them all. The broth was tasty but a bit too thick, like gravy. Portions were generous and good value. I really liked the chicken karaage with sesame seeds and mayo sauce. Delicious!
