Amaaaaaazing short rib smothered in delicious mole sauce with plantains. Yum!!!
    Taryn R.

Europe (and the United Kingdom for that matter) is not known for its Mexican food. After living in Italy for about 10-years, I've grown very skeptical of any "Mexican" restaurants over here. So, as you can imagine, when my husband told me he made us reservations at a Mexican restaurant in London, I raised an eye brow. I've never been so happy to be so wrong, though! Santo Remedio is legit! In fact, they are cranking out some of the best mole sauce I've ever had. (They're only bested by the all time, reigning champs, Three Amigos in Charlotte, NC.) We devoured the slow cooked short ribs that came smothered in the delicious mole de Oaxaca sauce and with a side of fried plantains. We really enjoyed the nibbles that we tried, too -- the guac (with grasshoppers!!), chips and salsa, and queso fresco were all great. Even the cocktails were fab. The restaurant is adorable. I felt like I was in a Mexican abuela's house. It was warm and inviting but also fun and colorful! Our waitress, Laura, was just the cherry on top of a wonderful experience and meal. She was so friendly and helpful, full of helpful recommendations and took some time to chat with us despite a busy night. Can't wait for our next visit to London. Our first stop will be Santo Remedio!

Very good Mexican restaurant, most likely the best one I have tried in London! I had the Soft Shell Crab Tacos, Baby Potato Flautas, and Hibiscus Enchiladas and they were all flavorful and good portions for the prize. Drinks are also pretty good, I tried the Homemade Tepache and the Hibiscus Agua Fresca and they were both refreshing. Desserts are good as well, I had Churros con Cajeta and Chocoflan with the latter especially amazing. The place itself is nice and prices are fair for the good quality of the food.

Looking for a little spice in London after a tour and this place popped up. They were fully booked for the day but squeezed us in. The food was amazing and made us feel like we were home.

Cedros tea is rich in flavor with a special taste you will not find anywhere else. The guacamole was amazing. I can make great guacamole at home so I am very particular and usually don't like buying guacamole. This one is the best I've tried. Very well balanced I also had barbacoa tacos which were very tasty. I was afraid they would be dry but the meat was very moist and just made it perfect. We had a side of rice which can use some improvement as the taste is bland. Overall great dinning experience. Our server Kevin was very friendly and helpful.

Chorizo Quesadilla, pork Belly Tacos, MEXICAN rice and maduros! All amazing !!!

Omgosh !! My sister and I were visiting from New York and we decided to visit Santo Remedio for Mexican food. Such a good decision. The chips and guacamole came out first and in one bite we fell in love. We knew we were going to love the food. Everything was well seasoned and played nicely. We ordered Pork Belly Tacos, Chorizo Quesadilla, Meatballs for entree, Chicken enchilada entree and virgin hibiscus margaritas. I would definitely go back when I visit London again. Please open a location in NYC.

    Tender lamb and cactus slaw

Wasn't expecting to find great Mexican food across the pond, but this defied expectations. We started with the guacamole, which was very light and whipped. Would recommend. We also got the pork belly tacos - must get! The pork is cooked to perfection and the other ingredients blended together in perfect harmony. We followed up with the lamb which was so tender. Would recommend 10/10. However, the cactus slaw which we got as a side was average. Also very disappointed in the corn. It was much too dry and too seasoned. I couldn't even finish it, that is how bad it was. DO NOT GET. The ambiance was nice as well and felt like you were in someone's home.

Interesting menu. Mix of classic tex mex and some trendier dishes. So first and most important qn. How were the margaritas? Basic one was excellent. Nice balance of tequila and lime. Maybe a little more tequila but pretty good. Gauc was gauc. Lots of salt on chips just the way i like it. Chicken enchiladas were simple but excellent with a great green spicy cream sauce. Valentina wings were spicy and peppery. Churros dipped in chocolate fir dessert. Totally unnecessary but wonderful

I came here in a group of five adults, two kids, with reservations. The server was pretty nice and attentive enough. The decor is very cute and the music very Mexican youth (one of my friends there was from Mexico and she really enjoyed what they were playing). I had orders off their specials menus the pork tamale (£8.25) with a side of elote (£4.25). The food took some time to come out but at 6:30 pm, the place was becoming more crowded. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Just a note, the elote does come on the cob so if you don't like chomping corn on the cob in public, maybe ask for a knife to cut it off the cob. My deduction of a Star was really for their price and portion. For what you pay, you do hope to get more for it but this is a "fancier" Mexican fusion place. Also location is pretty good and easy to find.

We shared a big plate of taco ingredients and tortillas. It was all very good and the good news is that with the variety there was something everyone liked. The space was chill and upscale while also feeling trendy. The drinks were also nice, mostly margaritas. In the end, nothing really stood out enough for me to remember or come back for if I wasn't in the area, but it would probably make my easy list of places that won't disappoint near the office.

Unfortunately, Mestizo charges per person and the minimum and maximum is two for this item So I couldn't order for one without paying forty dollars , and I'd be damned to pay that much. Having this rule is ridiculous. I've never been to a Mexican restaurant forcing you to order something that can easily be portioned to one. I ordered a marinated chicken with rice and beans. The beans were out of this world. Such a unique flavor I definitely was not accustomed to in the states. The rice was unfortunately bland. The chicken was marinated in this red sauce and was tasty for the most part. However , when I made my way to the center it became dry and had a weird taste. If you're gonna order this dish, proceed with caution. The dessert really outshined and redeemed my visit somewhat. I ordered the tres leches cake. This dessert is basically like a Mexican version of sticky toffee pudding. There are many overlapping factors. One key difference is tres leches uses a milk and cinnamon base , so it kind of tastes like a horchata cake.

Let me tell you, it was one of the best meals we had while we were in England for an entire month. Before we get to the food, I must give a shout out to the staff who were so warm, friendly and attentive. What we ordered: The short rib tacos for sharing. I am not exaggerating when I tell you it was DIVINE. The meat was so well seasoned and flavorful and it was literally falling off the bone. No, seriously, they bring it to your table, bone and all, and shred the meat for you. It's served with unlimited tortillas and some fixings for your tacos such as pickled red onions cilantro, etc. Caesar salad: A good solid caesar salad. Not the best I ever had in my life, but it was fresh, not too much anchovy in the dressing and came with a ton of shaved parmesan on top. Elote corn: nice and flavorful, corn was not soggy. Great smoky flavor from the grill. Guacamole: fresh and flavorful. Margaritas: Well balanced, not too sweet and enough alcohol to where you could taste it but it didn't make you grimace. I ended up ordering 2. Beer: Not sure which beer, but my husband said it was his favorite one he tried our entire trip. Ambiance was great, decor was beautiful, lighting was well put together. It was nice as clean as well, no sticky seats / menus.
