Loved eating here! After some not so great didn't experiences on my trip this place was a breath of fresh air! London has also converted me to a passion fruit margarita girl! I want one everyday now! The server was so polite they make sure you don't have any allergies when you order and have the manager speak with you and personally deliver your food! It's a cute restaurant within walking distance from the tube and it was down the road from my hotel! I didn't expect it to be as good as it was but I'm happy this place surprised me! The star of the show is definitely the passion fruit margarita! And the tacos were great too. Definitely check it out if you're visiting!

One of the most exciting things to happen to me in London in a while. All my friends here know that I've been on a quest to find good Mexican since my arrival in London in 2019. I've tried quite a few places and nothing has satisfied that craving for good quality authentic Mexican that you can only get in most places in the US. This place has been on my mind for about a week as a work colleague suggested this place would fit the bill. Of course once you add a new restaurant to your obsession list it is virtually impossible to get a reservation aka booking as they say here in the UK. Im out near Waterloo station this morning and walked round a corner and bam here is a Wahaca location so I tried my luck was immediately seated and the rest is history. Decor is bright, bold, eclectic but the question is really about the food and drinks. Nibbles like chips and nachos along with tacos, quesadillas, burritos and the other suspects are all on offer along with desserts like churros and empanadas along with a respectable drinks menu. There are 4 different margarita flavors on the menu along with other tropical cocktails like mojitos, tequila, wine and even hot drinks as this is England after all. I ordered 2 taco flavors and each came with 2 mini corn tacos overfilled with pure deliciousness. I went with the steak and the sweet plantain tacos along with a passion fruit margarita. Be Warned, the margaritas are only served on the rocks so if you're a frozen fan you're out of luck. You could get it with crushed ice as I did to try to create a bespoke frozen experience. The tacos were divine. Yes I licked my fingers. Both came in soft corn tortillas. The plantain tacos were filled with delicious fried ripe plantains, hibiscus, crema and crumbled feta. The chargrilled steak and cheese came with grilled steak and cheese and chipotle and avocado salsa on a bed of pickled cabbage. Needless to say I will be back. This place delivered. I can't wait I return and try out a few other things on the menu. Vegan options and non alcoholic versions of meals and drinks are available for those who need this.

Great service! Made sure to take care of our daughter who has allergies. The drinks were great and the street tacos hit the spot!

I quickly became a regular as frankly, there's nothing bad on the menu but some things are just really exceptional. For one, the chicken tinga is the best I've had - period. It's slow cooked with slices of chorizo and is so flavourful it's unbelievable. Just thinking about it now is making my mouth water. The pulled pork is also really good and is right up there with my favourites anywhere - you can tell that they haven't just dumped the same spice mix on both - and although they don't advertise it, they're more than happy to give you a half and half if you want both. But their burritos are more than just that - they make their own guacamole and it's just brilliant, and something I don't normally praise at a Mexican place - the salad accompaniments are also really good. The cabbage slaw is a particular favourite and goes really well with the pork. Their hot sauces are also made in house and the chipotle one is just awesome. This area has an over abundance of Mexican burrito places now with three within a few minutes walk - but the fact that you will have to queue for at least five minutes to get served at Santana Grill is a testiment of the quality that they produce. If you're like me and don't want to try to eat a messy burrito at your desk then you can get it in a box too - and trust me, they don't skimp on the portions!! I've eaten at quite a few different Mexican places around London and I rate Santana Grill and Daddy Donkey as the two very best.

I had the Garlic Butter Sizzling Prawns, see picture. Shrimp, vegetables, and cheese. It wasn't bad at all. Everything was well cooked and taste as it should. One star deducted for that. Would I recommend it? Sure? Give it a go

I'm from Southern California so I know Mexican food. There is not a large Mexican population in London to provide the kind of authentic menus like you will find in London Indian restaurants. But after days of pub food, Indian and Italian we decided to give it a try. This is a nicely decorated little restaurant with a nice attentive staff. Was the food different from what we were used to? Yes, but it was very tasty. My wife had chicken tacos served on a large platter with separate portions to build your own taco. They had Mexican rice but no refried or black beans or lettuce for the tacos. The tacos were hard shell. I had fajitas and they were very good but served without a side of rice. The portions were very large. If you are in Pimlico, close to Victoria station, give it a try

Let me tell you, it was one of the best meals we had while we were in England for an entire month. Before we get to the food, I must give a shout out to the staff who were so warm, friendly and attentive. What we ordered: The short rib tacos for sharing. I am not exaggerating when I tell you it was DIVINE. The meat was so well seasoned and flavorful and it was literally falling off the bone. No, seriously, they bring it to your table, bone and all, and shred the meat for you. It's served with unlimited tortillas and some fixings for your tacos such as pickled red onions cilantro, etc. Caesar salad: A good solid caesar salad. Not the best I ever had in my life, but it was fresh, not too much anchovy in the dressing and came with a ton of shaved parmesan on top. Elote corn: nice and flavorful, corn was not soggy. Great smoky flavor from the grill. Guacamole: fresh and flavorful. Margaritas: Well balanced, not too sweet and enough alcohol to where you could taste it but it didn't make you grimace. I ended up ordering 2. Beer: Not sure which beer, but my husband said it was his favorite one he tried our entire trip. Ambiance was great, decor was beautiful, lighting was well put together. It was nice as clean as well, no sticky seats / menus.
