I went here with my cousin a few weeks ago while we were visiting London. We wanted a quick snack…read moreand happy hour drink special before we explored more of shoreditch. When we went in at 530 there were maybe 5 or 6 tables with people sitting. It took us 25 minutes to get our drink order only after I got up and tracked down the waiter. Took another 40 minutes just to get our drinks delivered. Now these were a margarita and paloma, not anything crazy complicated and we weren't asking for any top shelf tequila just their basic house drink. It was crazy how slow this team moved, especially too as the drinks were really good. Wish we had stuck with the drinks because the tacos and nachos we ordered were gross. It's a shame the service was so terrible because the vibe was nice, and they had two for one drink specials for happy hour from 2-6.

Brightly colored rooms, tropical/ Spanish/ Mexican theme I guess...? service at the bar was slow, not sure why, - as only a few other patrons there. We ordered a cocktail that was offered at happy hour, sweet, weak and mostly ice! So we changed to beer, then decided to get food, the Super Barrio Nacho was our choice. The Nachos arrived soon after our order was placed, probably microwaved as the nachos where soggy and the size was not at all "super", perhaps I was expecting American Size. Talk about small plates, this nacho order was so small! Disappointing, after tax they cost €12, overpriced, we decided to pass on dinner there. The bar had a patio out back, standard picnic table, placed close together. It was a weeknight, no one out on the Patio, the murals painted on the patio walls, looked like I painted them, and believe me I am not an artist! The bathrooms for the bar are downstairs and quite a distance from the bar. One interesting thing about the water closet was there were two toilets in one stall, not sure what that was about...? It's right on the bus line, so easy to get to, no taxi needed. The tube station was quite a distance, not knowing the neighborhood, we decided to take the bus since the bus stop was right outside the bar. I'm guessing this place could be fun b/c it's brightly colored. Granted it was not a weekend. But I was put off by little service & little portions & big prices.

They have a potato menu. I should probably just stop there. What else do you need to know, right?…read more I came for dinner at the Jones Family Project with a friend on a very cold winter's night and we were warmly welcome the moment we arrived. Our host lead us downstairs to a comfortable booth. I stuck with sides (£3.50 each): Roasted Brussels sprouts with avocados and pecans, truffled macaroni cheese and big chips (from the potato menu, of course). I also sampled some of my pal's calamari which was very tasty. For dessert, we both enjoyed the orange tart with crème fraîche, pistachios and cinnamon saffron syrup. I don't think I've received nicer service anywhere in London and the restaurant's soundtrack totally rocks. I'd make this my local if I lived in London!

The squid was exquisite -- very fresh and flavourful. My Sunday roast was spot on as well. Great taste and presentation all around at the reasonable price of £10. One of my friends ordered a side of macaroni and with a pinch of truffles, it was a crowd pleaser. We capped the meal with mint tea, which was refreshing. Service was very good. They came to check on us a few times and were prompt in bringing out our orders. At one point, our tea was delayed, and the waiter kindly charged us only for two (instead of three) tea. All in all, a solid experience. Ambience was very spacious and well decorated. Not too pompous and just adequately sophisticated, the interior definitely added to the overall experience. All in all, would love to return.

Offering a diverse selection, Pump Shoreditch is the perfect place to sit down, grab a drink, and eat into a food coma! While exploring each station, I understood why it was called Pump - the vicinity used to be a gas station or at least looks like it used to be one. There is a giant awning similar to that of a gas station. My friends and I stumbled upon it one brisk March night and we each bought food from different vendors because that's how you get a taste of everything. What caught my eye was a vendor who combined Mexican and Turkish cuisines. I ordered a chicken shish bowl: burrito bowl + chicken shish kebab = love. Hot damn it was amazing! I scarfed that meal down like nothing - mostly because I was starving and hadn't eaten all day. The chicken was perfectly spiced and on served with salsa and veggies iver rice...youre definitwly hitting thw jackpot! I'm sure you guessed it by now...I ate into a food coma, haha. Worth it! There are vegan vendors as well and cultures range from the aforementioned to Middle Eastern to Argentinian to Japanese and more! These markets usually offer the best food and Pump certainly didn't disappoint! If you're a foodie and you love food markets (i.e. Smorgasburg), you'll love this place!

It's not too loud so you can actually have a conversation. The food selection is really varied and interesting, with international cuisines including Mexican, Brazilian, Argentinian, Italian... My favourites though are the Asian stands - Makimayo and Nosteagia. I have reviewed Nosteagia separately so won't go into too much detail, but will say that the hot bowls are reasonably priced, delicious and substantial and the bubble waffles are to die for. My other favourite is the 'popcorn chicken' from Makimayo. This isn't how you'd imagine popcorn chicken, it's huge chunks of panko breaded chicken breast in your choice of sauce - the Szechuan style Gangnam is justifiably the most popular. They have a decent number of stalls catering to vegan as well. I like the layout of Pump, and having been an old petroleum station it's an interesting space. Gets a bit chilly though - there are fire pits but I've never seen them used! Oh and the bathrooms are inside Boneyard, just inside the kitchen and not signposted at all! No alcohol is sold on site but you can bring your own, which isn't a bad thing.
