Mi Casa Burritos is among the first wave of semi-credible Mexican eateries to hit Victoria. And it's reasonable. Pricey, but reasonable. The price was the thing that hit me first. £7 for a burrito? When Tortilla's regular burrito costs £5, large £6 and Chilango's similar? Mi Casa Burritos try to sweeten the deal by including guacamole in that, but it's more of a smear than a dollop. So my Mi Casa Burritos experience didn't get off to the best of starts. But then I took a bite. Not too bad. The ingredients were moist and plentiful, which was a good start. And by the end, I was feeling pretty full. I still think it's pricey, both as a burrito and as a lunch option in an area where there's masses of competition. I'm not impressed. In fact, I'm typing this with a like warm burrito in hand. I opted for the pulled beef steak. The meat is over seasoned, there's so much luke warm rice in this wrap, the processed cheese hasn't melted and there's no salsa or sour cream, despite asking for it. Mi Casa, I like you. We arrived in Victoria quite late after visiting friends at the seaside...we were hungry but most food stands had closed and neither of us could face Burger King. I was soooo glad to see a burrito stand open with happy staff serving wraps and tacos. It's not uber cheap, but it's not bad. My veggy burrito was about £6, and Marc's meaty version was £7.50ish. It was freshly made, and they gave me lots of guac (oh my goodness I love guacamole) so we headed home pleasantly full and happy. *The veggy burrito is a bit sloppy by the time you have munched your way to the bottom, so grab a couple of napkins!! read more

I was a little worried to sink my teeth into generic re-fried beans and tortilla- but these guys really surprised me.. The menu is simple and very small.. Coming from a Mexican family and have eaten at many UK Mexican restaurants, most have failed in taste.. I kept a cautious eye on the make of my burrito.. Everything is made fresh to order..My chicken was very lean, all white meat, tender and seasoned with added with lime juice to add a punch... The pic de gallo was mild with enough fire. the re-fried beans wasn't dry & over cooked... the tortilla could had been a bit warmer, but there was no manufactured after taste.. One of the best burritos I've had. I had the pork with medium salsa. Mi Casa struck me as different from other burrito shops for a few reasons: 1. Fewer choices. You just choose the meat and the heat. The rest is standard. 2. Delicious rice. They cook it with herbs or something in. 3. Free guacamole. No extra charge if you want guac. That's a win in my book. 4. Twist of fresh lime. It makes all the difference. They also do a breakfast burrito in the morning which is pretty good at the price :) read more

Ordered a Burrito with the Tomatillo sauce, I got a very badly wrapped and tasteless meal. I also ordered the Churros, which we had to spit out and throw in the bin. They were hard, and had been recooked several times in old oil or the same oil they fried something else in. Will never visit this shop again! read more

Hooray for Mi Casa Burritos! We came here for a bite to eat before going to see a play nearby. Mostly because it's quick, but also because it was my birthday and I love Mexican food. So why not? I opted for the pork nachos (so instead of a burrito, they pile it up on tortilla chips...Awesome). I also got the hot salsa on top. The pork was soft and tasty. The beans looked like authentic refritos. The guacamole was super tasty (unlike some of those places around that make bland guac at your table), and I kind of wanted a whole lot more. The hot salsa was hot, but not too hot, and I kind of wished I had a bit more. I was really impressed as even though it's Mexican fast food, the food seemed a lot more flavorful than some of the other chains around London. To be honest, I wish Mi Casa was at Kings Cross. I would be eating some nachos on my way home on a regular basis. I love burritos but I've not really found a burrito I truly love in the UK. I was travelling through Victoria and thought I'd give Mi Casa a try as a burrito seemed like it'd be easy enough to eat on the train. OMG I'm so glad I did. First off their rice didn't have coriander in it and neither did they guacamole! Coriander/cilantro (I'm allergic) is the bane of my existence so it was so exciting to be able to have both rice and guacamole on my burrito. They also offer you a squeeze of lime, which was my favourite part of burritos at my favourite burrito place in the USA. The chicken was well cooked and not bland or overly spicy. The salsa did have cilantro so I can't speak to that but everything else was perfect. I'm actually hoping I travel through Victoria again soon! read more

This is now one of my favourite places on this planet. I popped into Mi Casa Burritos last night on my way back to the hotel and was delighted. I just love nachos, especially good ones. I got a massive big box of nachos with sour cream, salsa, guacamole, cheese, and a wonderful big helping of pulled pork. What a magical box of gloriousness. I devoured it almost as soon as I got through my hotel room door. The pork and the guacamole were both so excellent, and all the flavours complimented each other so well. The place isn't cheap, at nearly £7 for a box of nachos, and slightly more for the beef instead of pork, but it's good to see a somewhere that's actually doing half decent Mexican food. read more

I recently worked out how much I have been spending on Mi Casa burritos since moving to my current place of work and unfortunately, I am going to have to curb my expenditure here. It's about £8 for a burrito which is pretty standard but once you add a bottle of pop and some extra tortilla chips (cos I'm a piggy), it becomes kinda pricey for a quick takeaway lunch. The burritos are GOOD. I always get the pork with everything and the hottest salsa, which makes my make up sweat right off my face. I personally find it satisfying. The food never actually tastes more than luke warm but I can't say this has stopped me going back. If you are not at work (or not bothered about getting fired) you can also stock up on a few lagers while you get your burrito. read more

Burritos, were fine only that. My wife had the chicken and I had the pork, they both tasted the same or these screwed up the order. It was the same price as Chipotle but inferior. Burritos are my favourite guilty pleasure and I have now enjoyed two from Mi Casa Burrito. Once I actually changed my journey home to go through Victoria because I was craving a burrito so badly. I rate this Burrito joint as 5 stars in comparison to others as I find their food delicious and reasonably priced. This is one of the few places that do not charge extra for guacamole, and while I don't like it, I think it is great that they offer fresh coriander also. All in all, I heartily recommend this place and look forward to many more delicious burritos here. read more

I went to Mi Casa Burritos in Liverpool street station and I have to say I was not impressed. The staff are rude and food quality, quantity and taste was not acceptable for the price you pay. I would be happy to pay the price if it was somewhat decent but the food is not edible, better to go to the food court upstairs if you fancy Burritos. read more

My veggie burrito was very tasty and a pleasant surprise as I often think the Chipotle copies are often lacking the freshness of that original esteemed joint. One little complaint would be that the tortilla got quite soggy (even within 15mins) and there was only a tiny amount of guac - which on a veggie burrito (vegan in fact as I forwent the sour cream and cheese) is sad. Anyways, these are minor issues and I would deffo try this place again. Such a disappointment! Twice now I have ventured towards Mi Casa, wanting an early evening fix of Mexican loveliness on the way home. Both times I have been thoroughly disappointed, and following the most recent visit - last night - I felt so disappointed that I was compelled to write this (my first) review in the hope that someone there reads it! For starters, each burrito contains a half-spoon of luke warm refried pintos, that are carefully and thinly spread onto the tortilla. No heaped dollops of steaming beany goodness here. Then the staff (all super friendly) proceed to create a rather measly burrito, with an equally small portion of meat and a tiny spoon of guacamole... which all make the large dose of chilli sauce, lime juice and coriander slightly inappropriate. As others have said already, this place is already pretty pricey. The unsatisfying quantities and disjointed filling-v-seasoning portions just make it worse. The other issue is that this place competes with the outstanding Picante nearby (on Greencoat Row, SW1P 1PQ) which provides a truly satisfying dose of Mexican stodge. As a massive fan of Mexican food, I was coming home from a works party and decided to call in and grab a burrito. What can I say? It was so disappointing. The burrito was bland and tasteless, and the point of guacamole was the smallest portion I've ever seen, especially given that it was extra. As a member of the Qype team, I just had a free lunch, thanks to Mi Casa. I opted for the pork burrito, which was very filling. Although the meat was tender, the entire filling was pretty much the same consistency. It would have been nice if there was a contrast in textures. To add, I had an authentic tamarind fizzy drink, which tasted nice and Mexican nuts and seeded snacks too. Mi Casa offers a set price of £6.95 for their mains, which seems to be the standard price for the market, but I can't help but feel that this is a little pricey, as there are no seating areas and cheaper food alternatives in Victoria station. I was out of the office over lunch so missed the handing over of the Burritos but I came back to the office to find a foiled present on my desk. Good food, consistently decreasing portion sizes. I love mexican food and have been a regular of Mi Casa for some months now as it is in a convenient location relative to my office. The food quality I'd say is pretty good, Chipotle is much better, in my opinion, but this is not bad at all. I've been disappointed as of late as I've noticed the portion size continually decreasing! Today I went and they even had a scale next to the till to monitor the staff's generosity. I understand if they want to charge for extra meat (+£1) but come on, are rice, beans and salsa really so expensive that you will risk disappointing customers with half-sized burritos!? Anyways, I've noticed many of the previous reviews mentioned both taste and portion size in their comments...I hope Mi Casa's staff takes notice and stops with this nonsense. read more

Not bad - I have had far worse Burritos but not good enough to merit a special trip. They had run out of vegetarian options by 1pm which wasn't helpful when buying a few for the office.
