Visiting Kauai, I stopped in this store because it was in the row with the rest of the "tourist" shops. It was absolutely fantastic!!! Got to see and actually crack a macadamia in the shell. Got a sample of one of the MANY available flavors. The young man working the counter, Maika, was an absolute gem!! Helpful and polite. No pressure sales!! You can see them preparing the nuts through a big window so it's an actual experience. Shop is clean. And I believe they will ship directly to you once you become addicted to the nuts!! read more

Located in the downtown area of Kapaa. We walked in and were provided samples of pretty much everything in the store. We ended up buying 10 bags to bring home to the states. Service was fantastic and there are some unique flavored nuts. A bit expensive for my liking, but when in Rome. read more

If you're looking for the perfect gift to bring back home, look no further! We found this gem offering free samples and they hooked us so fast. We were in there for so long and I can't believe the amount of people who skipped out on the samples and kept walking. There are many different flavors, different mixes of nuts...and we got to try whatever we wanted, which was extremely useful when you want to make sure you purchase something you actually like. In the end, as a group, we purchased well over 30 bags and managed to get a discount for buying so many! We all loved the Salted Toffee Macadamia Nuts but I also enjoyed just the normal Sea Salt. Plain and simple, crunchy and delicious. We actually came back twice to buy more and the lady in the back recognized us and welcomed us with a big smile! The prices are steeper than the commercial brands and portion sizes are smaller but the quality is great and it's always good to support the small businesses. read more

We walked past this store while heading to get food and coffee, and saw the sign for free samples - we made note of it and decided to check it out once we finished our meal. The employees were very welcoming, and also encouraged us to ask for any flavor we wanted to sample. It was helpful because some flavors didn't sound crazy but once we tried them, we were interested in more! Our entire friend group came in and kept trying out different nuts, and gathered up a large quantity. I think because we were giving them tons of business, they graciously offered a discount for the entire order! My favorites were the Salted Toffee and the Cock-A-Doodle (white choco), but there were some unique flavors like the Sweet Heat! A great souvenir to bring home to loved ones, or just for you to enjoy! read more

We stumbled upon this shop while we were grabbing coffee next door, and so glad we did! Our huge group all came over after getting our coffees and we cleared out a good portion of their stock. They really got us with the free samples... I ended up purchasing the Cock-a-Doodle Doo-Doo, Sea Salted, and Cacao Chip, but I enjoyed pretty much all of the flavors I sampled (and I sampled most of their flavors). I wish I could've purchased more, but I was limited by luggage space and cost since macadamia nuts aren't cheap! The staff was friendly as well and didn't mind so many of us constantly asking to sample different flavors since we trickled in at different times. Overall, highly recommend stopping by to pick up some snacks and/or gifts! read more

The service and attitude of the worker was fantastic. They offer free samples of every single thing, and the nuts, mixes, and peanut butters were all SO GOOD. My favorite thing in there was the toffee crisp pecan and peanut butter. I had to buy some to bring home with me. Great experience overall! read more

If you don't like Kauai Gourmet Nuts, you don't like nothin'. Patty and I were strolling along Kuhio Highway when our olfactory senses were delighted by the delightful essence of cinnamon. Patty immediately thought it might be wafting its way to our nostrils in the form of fresh-baked cinnamon rolls from a coffee house near Kauai Gourmet Nuts. As we approached, we realized that the pleasant odor was emanating from Kauai Goirmet Nuts. The friendly associate beckkned us into her domain with the offer of free samples. Not only was her personality a delight, but so were the samples! Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, we bought four bags. Goodies from Kauai Gourmet Nuts are not only a wonderful way to reminisce about one's trip to the Gatden Isle, but are a fabulous souvenir to surprise friends and family alike! read more

Very nice shop owner... so we bought a lot of them nuts. It's all good though. Theirs are tasty and feature a ton of flavors. And luckily they have the raw, dried ones- my favorite, but not as common as it turns out. Check them out! read more

I'm obsessed with this place! When you pass Kauai Gourmet Nuts, you will be drawn in by the delicious smell of the roasted nuts. I love the idea of such a niche store. There were so many flavors of nuts and you can sample as many as you'd like. The employees were very helpful and friendly, and they didn't seem to mind serving up sample after sample. My favorite nuts were the macadamia and pecan ones, especially any with coconut or coffee flavors. I was even able to try cracking into the macadamia nuts myself! I ended up purchasing some of the macadamia/pecan butter, which had an amazing flavor and consistency. Next time I pass by the shop, I will have to pop back in and try some of the fruity flavored nuts! Overall, it's a must for any nut lover. read more

We drove to the Kaapa store location while staying in Lihue and were cheerfully greeted by Alex, who was tending the shop that afternoon. He offered us many samples to try and suggested the butter toffee nuts that were truly delicious. We purchased a variety to enjoy and to gift, and I'm glad we ventured beyond the typical chocolates to take home. Thanks for a great shopping experience and we definitely recommend paying them a visit. read more

If you're stopping by Koloa town, you need to pay a visit here. We were greeted by the most personable and kind lady (I don't remember her name). She was so helpful and offered us free samples of their delicious nuts. She even had us try cracking a mac nut with a hammer! It was quite the experience. All of the flavors we tried were amazing. Of the ones we tried, we ended up buying the toffee, rosemary garlic, and the crunch berries (lihing mui and coconut). To my surprise, I really enjoyed the crunch berries. I'm not a huge lihing fan, but these really changed the way I think of lihing mui lol. Everything tasted fantastic and I love being able to support a business that's run by awesome people. read more

Also their maple honey pecans. Their prices are also so reasonable and the names of their nut packets are hilarious. A welcoming store in Kapaa downtown offering a variety of gourmet roasted nuts in unique flavor combinations. We stepped in and were greeted by Jason who was great at explaining the flavor profiles ranging from the sweet to the spicy, their popularity and gave us some free samples. These were great and helped us make up our mind. They also sell a selection of local honey and seasoning. They often have deals on multiple purchases so be sure to check it out! read more

I could've spent hours in this store, honestly. We decided to stop in since Kauai Gourmet Nuts is located basically next door to Java Kai, and had a sign out front advertising their free samples. The sales lady was incredibly welcoming and started offering us samples immediately - I didn't try a single thing that wasn't delicious. After a ton of samples, I ended up buying the Coconut Coffee Mixed Nuts, Salted Toffee Mixed Nuts, and the Aloha Ginger Beer Nut Butter - all SO good! They also had a bunch of discounts going on and the sales lady even gave us some great recommendations for lunch. Don't skip this shop! read more

Hello. My name is Mark and I have a problem. I have found legal crack on Kauai! I have seen Kauai Gourmet Nuts at markets and their shops for the past several months, but never tried. I heard they were fantastic so I stopped by the Kapaa shop - AND MY LIFE CHANGED! I have no idea what magic they perform when creating these bags of deliciousness but DAMN! I have been back twice since my first bag (the Salted Toffee Macadamias are the gateway drug) and have expanded my horizons with the spiced butter rum (made with Hanalei Spirits Dark Rum - are you kidding me???) and salted toffee almonds and macadamias. Now I just walk in - say take my money - and walk out with a bag to help my new addiction. Well done to the creator of these amazing snacks! read more

I've tried almost every flavor of nuts they have and they are all soooo good! My favorites are probably the Spiced Butter Rum (which has a mix of pecans, almonds, and macadamia nuts), the Honey Coconut pecans, and the Coconut Coffee pecans and macadamias. I bought my first bag and less than a week later I returned for five. The employees are all really nice as well and the shop is cute! Definitely worth dropping by for a free sample! read more

We strolled through Koloa town the other day and stepped into this amazing shop. If you don't have health issues with nuts, this is the place to be. The aroma when you walk in the door is delightful. We heard from another happy customers that the sample salted toffee is fabulous. We met Gabriel, who is more than happy to share nut samples with you and speak to you about your specific likes. We ended up with the four pack deal, included 2 packs of whichever macadamia nut you prefer and two packs your choice of mixed nuts. If you're not walking down Main Street USA in the great Disneyland park, this is the place to be drawn to tasty treats by the wonderful smells in the air. Go nuts! I can't imagine there is a bad nut in the place. read more

Cannot say enough good things about this place! Dropped in late (Kauai late) I think around 9pm, originally wanted ice cream but the place was closed. Enjoy the most delightful of Island flavors in Kauai Gourmet Nuts in Kapa along Kuhio Hwy. There is a lot of sidewalk traffic on Kuhio Hwy but many just pass by this shop since the charming building doesn't have an open place to display the deliciousness inside to foot traffic!Introducing Jenelle! She is the Queen of the sample booth and desires that nobody miss out on the great island flavor experience! So with her bright wit and charm offers as many free tastes as required to interest taste buds to move the hands to pick up a bag or two! The frequent showers on Kauai'i brings lush foliage but also brings weather that makes most of us run for shelter under a tree, or back at our condo. What better way to wait for the sun to come out again while holding a bag of nuts covered in a variety of Island flavors! If you do nothing else, go inside and make friends with Jenelle! Some of these tastes are found nowhere else! Great Vacation experience; except the arguments on who gets the bottom of the bag! read more
