Toffee crisp pecan and peanut butter
    Morgan J.

The service and attitude of the worker was fantastic. They offer free samples of every single thing, and the nuts, mixes, and peanut butters were all SO GOOD. My favorite thing in there was the toffee crisp pecan and peanut butter. I had to buy some to bring home with me. Great experience overall!

If you don't like Kauai Gourmet Nuts, you don't like nothin'. Patty and I were strolling along Kuhio Highway when our olfactory senses were delighted by the delightful essence of cinnamon. Patty immediately thought it might be wafting its way to our nostrils in the form of fresh-baked cinnamon rolls from a coffee house near Kauai Gourmet Nuts. As we approached, we realized that the pleasant odor was emanating from Kauai Goirmet Nuts. The friendly associate beckkned us into her domain with the offer of free samples. Not only was her personality a delight, but so were the samples! Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, we bought four bags. Goodies from Kauai Gourmet Nuts are not only a wonderful way to reminisce about one's trip to the Gatden Isle, but are a fabulous souvenir to surprise friends and family alike!

I'm obsessed with this place! When you pass Kauai Gourmet Nuts, you will be drawn in by the delicious smell of the roasted nuts. I love the idea of such a niche store. There were so many flavors of nuts and you can sample as many as you'd like. The employees were very helpful and friendly, and they didn't seem to mind serving up sample after sample. My favorite nuts were the macadamia and pecan ones, especially any with coconut or coffee flavors. I was even able to try cracking into the macadamia nuts myself! I ended up purchasing some of the macadamia/pecan butter, which had an amazing flavor and consistency. Next time I pass by the shop, I will have to pop back in and try some of the fruity flavored nuts! Overall, it's a must for any nut lover.

If you're stopping by Koloa town, you need to pay a visit here. We were greeted by the most personable and kind lady (I don't remember her name). She was so helpful and offered us free samples of their delicious nuts. She even had us try cracking a mac nut with a hammer! It was quite the experience. All of the flavors we tried were amazing. Of the ones we tried, we ended up buying the toffee, rosemary garlic, and the crunch berries (lihing mui and coconut). To my surprise, I really enjoyed the crunch berries. I'm not a huge lihing fan, but these really changed the way I think of lihing mui lol. Everything tasted fantastic and I love being able to support a business that's run by awesome people.

Omg this place is amazing. Sooo many options of different mixes of nuts. They are so generous with sampling all of them. Their white choc macademian nuts are to die for. Also their maple honey pecans. Their prices are also so reasonable and the names of their nut packets are hilarious. Love this place and I hope they ship so I can buy more after I run out of the 2 I bought there lol

    Absolute Deliciousness

Hello. My name is Mark and I have a problem. I have found legal crack on Kauai! I have seen Kauai Gourmet Nuts at markets and their shops for the past several months, but never tried. I heard they were fantastic so I stopped by the Kapaa shop - AND MY LIFE CHANGED! I have no idea what magic they perform when creating these bags of deliciousness but DAMN! I have been back twice since my first bag (the Salted Toffee Macadamias are the gateway drug) and have expanded my horizons with the spiced butter rum (made with Hanalei Spirits Dark Rum - are you kidding me???) and salted toffee almonds and macadamias. Now I just walk in - say take my money - and walk out with a bag to help my new addiction. Well done to the creator of these amazing snacks!

I could've spent hours in this store, honestly. We decided to stop in since Kauai Gourmet Nuts is located basically next door to Java Kai, and had a sign out front advertising their free samples. The sales lady was incredibly welcoming and started offering us samples immediately - I didn't try a single thing that wasn't delicious. After a ton of samples, I ended up buying the Coconut Coffee Mixed Nuts, Salted Toffee Mixed Nuts, and the Aloha Ginger Beer Nut Butter - all SO good! They also had a bunch of discounts going on and the sales lady even gave us some great recommendations for lunch. Don't skip this shop!

Great local store. I focused on the macadamia nuts. Some nice varieties and flavors. I especially liked the cacao and vanilla and the toffee ones, but I liked most of them. Great customer service. Go and try some.

The four delicious packs of nuts we bought. Anticipating deliciousness, only one of four is done so far.

By the time I was done ordering and paying, an impressive line of tourists had formed behind me. I made use of the hand sanitizer and went to sit and wait. There are picnic benches across from the truck with ample seating. The area is kept clean. The sun was shining bright and a the breeze from the ocean was extremely relaxing. My food took about 10 minutes, he walked the food out personally instead of screaming from the window which I appreciated. I took the food and drink back to my car so I could listen to my book while I ate my lunch. The plate contained 5 battered and fried pieces of fish (mahi?) Andy who they were seasoned, crispy and golden brown, served over a large portion of crisp French fries. 2 tartar sauces, a ketchup and the anticipated habanero hot sauce. The fish was moist and flaky on the inside and tasted fresh. Absolutely delicious. The hot sauce.... The homemade habanero sauce should be bottled and sold. It starts off mild to allow your food to shine on its own then creeps in with the perfect amount of heat. Paired with the tartar sauce or ketchup (I alternated every bite) changed the profile in a way that no hot sauce I've ever eaten has allowed. There was no cloying aftertaste, no overpowering vinegar scent, the heat was not intense, but it was there in the background complimenting everything it touched. Maybe we caught them at a bad time, but the food and beer were mediocre at best. I enjoy trying local beers as close to the source as possible, so going to local brewpubs is something my wife and I try to do regularly. It was our third day in Kauai, so made this our lunch choice, and we were hungry after a long tour. There was plenty of parking in the dedicated lot, and it wasn't too busy when we stopped in after 1:30 on a Wednesday. We were greeted promptly and got to choose where we sat, in a picnic table with plenty of space. Chose two house draft beers: Honopu Hefeweizen ($9) which was not good...very weak and watery. But the Hanakoa Cream ale was worse ($9)...chose it because of a local cream ale from Wisconsin that I love. But it tasted more like a glass of lite pilsner, more like a Miller Lite than a cream ale. I had to finish both...should have just ordered one. The food came out a bit later. We wanted to share the local Style Smoke meat plate (sounded promising), which was a plate of pork shoulder ($16). Plenty of it, but it felt like leftover meat, reheated in a sugary sauce...looked and tasted like Tocino (which isn't my favorite), not like pulled pork/kalua pork. It came with a scoop of white rice. I got the spicy Poke ($19) which used good quality raw ahi tuna. It had lots of tasty, spicy mayo and was enjoyable. But the rice was not cooked well (it was mushy), and I had to ask myself: why has the rice been so mediocre for our first two days? (It got better as the trip went on). My wife got the Huli Huli Veg & Rice plate ($25)...not good. Just two pieces of chicken breast meat (coming from frozen) with a very light sauce (flavorless) and the carrots were big chunks, candied, which is not what we expected. Brought most of this back to our hotel (since we had a fridge), but neither one of us touched it for the rest of the trip. Pricing is inconsistent (the chicken plate should have been the cheapest item considering the ingredients and prep work). Payment was done through Toast, and there was a 3% service charge for using credit card.
