Actually it happened at one night on April 2017, my two years old son locked himself in his room from inside by accident. He cannot be taught to reverse the bolt then. No key before. Live and Learn. All I am saying is do your homework. After getting locked out, I called the first locksmith listed, Gabe charged me $100 bucks to unlock my door in the garage. I got suspicious afterward so I checked a couple others to see what they would have charged. Wow, what a difference! Examples: "Juans Locksmith" charges $55, "$19 Fontana" said $35 up, "Lockworx" charges $49.50, and lastly, "Salazar Locksmith" charges $55, all for the same service that I got for double. I think I got taken. Next time, call a few and get a quote first. :( read more

This company is amazing!!! We left our motor running in our F-350 and it locked itself of course with the keys in it. Randomly called Katz's and wow, were we lucky! He arrived in 15 minutes, got the truck open in 30 seconds, made us an extra key (which shamefully we had never got around to doing ourselves) AND an extra remote! Now this would be enough for 5 stars, but he repaired our whole touchpad handle which thieves had ripped totally off and it was just hanging, which involved taking the panel off the inside--looks good as new. And all this for $115. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. If I could give 10 stars I would. read more

Came home from grocery shopping to a front door that we couldn't open. We didn't have the key and the lock (key code entry) apparently had a dead battery. Being the good homeowners we are the back door and all windows were locked. We had no way in. We tried several different things but didn't want to break windows so off we go to Yelp to check for a 24 hour locksmith. It was after 8 PM. Katz was one of the best rated companies so we read through a few reviews, clicked on the website link and called the number. Spoke with a nice guy that gave us a quote for the service call and a separate fee for the actual service. I've never had to call a locksmith before so I'm not sure if the rates are reasonable but they seemed fair so we asked him to come out. He was here within a half hour. He went to work on the back door and less than 10 minutes later we were in our nice, warm house. Very pleased with the professionalism, very prompt response, and great service. We needed to have our locks changed in our home. After seeing how much it would cost to buy new locks for 2 doors, one of which is a deadbolt handle combo. The other deadbolt and door handle locks separate. Plus not having the same key for them! Costly! So my husband suggested we get a locksmith to rekey the locks and have them all keyed alike. Amazing service!!! Don was quick to respond and showed up on time. Originally I wanted a new lock on my door but after explaining to me I just needed to tighten the lock up it would be just fine. He removed the lock and reapplied it, tighten the screws and did some work on my panel so my door would not slam. Not only was he professional and explained everything he did, but he did it free of charge. That's right, free of charge. He stated that he's day was over and he didn't have to do much all he was doing tightening things up. It took him about 15 minute and he was done with the job.
