Shannon is incredibly rude. She has absolutely zero professionalism. I never got my door. She refunded my money without asking because it was difficult to get it scheduled. Only M-F at 8 am. She said they needed 24 hours notice. Then told me the entire crew is leaving for 2 weeks. After she abruptly refunded my money, blaming everything on me. Too bad there isn't zero stars because it that is what I got from them. Nothing but Shannon being rude. - After Shannon's Reply Shannon, I have the whole conversation. You only offered me one day. As I explained, I had replied "Tuesday is good". But it must not have gone through. I even had someone at the house and everything ready to go. Obviously that reply didn't make it through, so I asked when we could do it. Instead of explaining your schedule was fully booked your only reply was "I have refunded your money". Then you tell me "communication is key". You should take your own advice Shannon. read more

After contacting a couple of companies, as suggested off Yelp, I went with this company to change out my 14 house windows (probably original windows from 1958!) to Millard Tuscany windows. Shannon was my initial point of contact and was extremely quick with the quote and all following correspondence. This business beat all other quotes from other companies by at least $1,000. They don't offer discounts/deals from what I was told but that was fine since they were the most affordable. Install price was $125 per window and then obviously depending on the size and style of window is what determines the cost of the actual window. I paid up front for the windows and then payed the install portion on the day they installed. Shannon contacted me by email and we arranged the date/time of install about two weeks in advance to the date. On the actual day of install Eric contacted me about 10-15 minutes before showtime to state they would be a little late. I was a bit disappointed when they showed up nearly an hour later. The crew that was at the house was genuinely nice. They tried to be mindful of dirt on their shoes and place down rugs. When they left though there was still dirt found on my carpet and sawdust/wood slivers by the windows, and when I did my own follow up cleaning there were 4 nails located (1 which my 2yo daughter found). Again they are not a cleaning company so not really mad about the bits of dust and dirt but I did not like finding the nails as I have 2 kids under 2 in the house and I'd have hated for them to step or swallow one. So the windows bought are "retro fit". It's new windows stuck inside the shell of ugly old window framing. I have never bought windows before so I thought they rip that out automatically and frame the windows with new stuff and had not even thought/known to ask Eric when he came out to measure. Luckily the head contractor onsite (Frank maybe?) brought to our attention that we could take the old wood frame from the 1950s off and for $50 a window put a new "7/11" board frame on. Since the framing had not been part of the initial job the crew was only able to do the bedroom and bathroom windows and I had to have a follow on appointment for the living room. I will say Eric was very kind to do that living room at cost and also took a look at a window screen that was a little wonky. At the end of the day I have beautiful windows. All I can say for future window purchasers is try to to do a lot of homework before hand to ask questions and get things clarified! I didn't wanted to spend time in searching new installer so I thought to ask Shannon again. The response was so slow, I have to remind on email multiple times to get some response. Finally I got a response that "good luck with your project" w.t.f like there is no other company to install window and door in oc. Arrogance in business made them loose me and my referrals. Your assumption of me using foul language is frivolous. I said your website has no pics for a customer to see the products. I had a great experiece with this company. I was in escrow on a property in La Quinta and the home inspection indicated a seal might have gone on a window. Shannon sent someone around the next day to meet my realtor and all windows were inspected and found to be good. The suspect window was due to blocked weep holes and they told me how to fix it free of charge. They said they would have done it for me but the estimator did not have a screwdriver with him. Originally just had them replace an exterior door at my home. I was very impressed with their work, I had a general contractor install some other exterior doors in the house and can never get a perfect seal with them. The door SF installed seals perfectly. I was soo impressed with their door work I contacted them for replacing all the windows in a condo I had purchased, their quote beat out all the other quotes by a significant margin, even beat that of another window installer I had previously contracted for a different condo just the year before. GREAT SERVICE My brand new Millard door was installed wrong and I could not get hold of my contractor, so you could imagine the headache. To start SF Door & Window accommodate me in a late night appointment for the estimate. Eric was nice and knowledgeable. My husband and I had the worst experience with Eric. He is extremely rude and has horrible customer service. We recently bought our first home and needed to change the windows. We consulted Eric through a coworker's reference. When he first arrived at our house he explained different types of windows etc. The whole time he seemed like he was just trying to sell his product and he didn't really show any type of customer service which reflected that he actually cared about us receiving the products. He was rushing through the information, and he knew that we were first time home buyers and first time renovators. He seemed as though he was frustrated when we were asking him questions, instead of being understanding and empathetic. He just kept on stating that we were getting the best price. This should have been our red flag! He rushed us into giving him measurements, even though we told him we needed time to get a more accurate idea of what exactly we wanted. He then gave us individual window pricing and gave us an estimate. We told him we would get back to him and he told us that the price would REMAIN THE SAME no matter when we contacted him. My husband called him again 2 days ago to get a final estimate with adjusted measurements and sizing. He came an hour late around the time when my husband was supposed to open his fast (it's Ramadan) and rudely expressed that he had already given my husband an estimate and seemed frustrated that we had called him in again. My husband remained calm and patient. Today when my husband asked Eric for a detailed individual-window estimate, he replied stating abruptly and rudely that he will not do business with us. My husband then continued to state that he would like to purchase the windows with the given price but he would get the windows installed by our personal contractor. Eric then lost his temper and started being malicious towards my husband and stating that he was "done" doing business with us. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. He came back out for a second final measurement. Once we finally ordered, they followed up promptly with install dates, were there on time with a full crew. The crew worked quickly and left the house/window area clean. The manufacturer(milgard) made a mistake on one window- We wanted privacy glass and it was delivered as regular glass.
