I had a couple of hinges snap on our almost 20yo roller garage door. Found the number here on Yelp and called their service around 8:30am. They had availability for the same day for the 1 - 6pm window. However, the technician Chris was at our door in just a few hours due to a fast prior call. The door out of balance, the springs were worn as were all the wheels, and I was given two quotes for the work. The first would've made the door work again as it replaced the parts I initially called about, the second made the door work as designed. I went with the full service. Chris did great work, he was professional, experienced, and it showed in every aspect of the job from the 29 point inspection to the finished product. It took about six hours from the time I called to when he was driving away after the full service repair. The cost was reasonable for the parts, labor, and expertise delivered. Also, the documentation for the invoice is line itemed and very thorough. 5/5, would highly recommend if you're in need of service or repair of your garage door. read more

My garage door opener wouldn't close my garage door, on the day before Thanksgiving. I called a garage door company to fix, but they came out and replaced some parts, and the garage door appeared to be working when they left. Their "fix" didn't even last 1/2 hour. The tech that came, wouldn't even listen to what I had to say, because he knew EVERYTHING. We wanted to pay for the service so we just told the lady on the phone that whatever the cost to charge our card but didn't want my in laws to know. We contacted JMK through family and yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. Our 20+ year old garage installed by my father was falling apart and in terrible shape. John, who I believe is the owner came out promptly and advised what would be best for noise detonation. We were happy that they use Raynor doors which are one of the best brands of garage doors. We upgraded the glass to white frosted and still found it all a good value. Also, we upgraded to a wall mounted opener and find that there is no more opener vibration in the bedroom above. Sometimes I can't even hear it closing or opening I have to check, it is so perfectly balanced. Overall we are very pleased with the results! The installers were very professional and timely. I called JMK Garage Doors earlier in the week to get some information on the cost of coming out to quote me for a repair. My door was damaged and looked to have buckled after it tried to open and slam shut. After they explained that they don't come out to give a quote for repair, Maria at JMK suggested I take pictures and text the pictures of the damage of my garage door to them so they can assess and figure out what it is that they can do. Within 10 minutes of me texting those pictures over to them, I received a call back from Maria, saying that they can definitely go out to to fix it and she started explaining the range of cost that it can be depending on what they find once they're here. I went ahead and made that appointment, fortunately that same afternoon. Chris, JMK technician, showed up 30 minutes later, assessed my garage door and proceeded to fix it in under an hour. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, efficient and even offered to come back after he left when my door wasn't opening (it ended up that something was blocking the sensor). The cost of the repair ended up being on the minimal side, especially since I was already expecting to have to replace the door for $3-5k!!! Gave me an estimate over the phone, sent a few photos in via text. Came next day between the two hours they said they would, with a heads up when they were on the way. Our torsion spring broke and needed to be replaced. We got a quote from one company that sounded good so we had them come out. As soon as they arrived, they said that the price was for a spring that wasn't great quality, but if we wanted a good quality spring the price would be double, and started trying to upsell on several other items. The bait-and-switch was very irritating so we told them we weren't going to do it. They offered a lower price but we declined. I then checked reviews on our local community facebook page and saw that JMK had many recommendations so gave them a call. They came within a few hours of my call, and were friendly, efficient, and reasonably priced, and described the quality of the product when I first called in. Extremely bad service. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I had them install a new garage motor on 10/14/24. The next day the spring breaks I call them to come back to repair the spring but no one has called me back. I have called multiple times and spoke with the secretary and she said there is no manager available and they will call me back when they can. I called back two days asking to speak to a manager or tech to help me but no one responded. Please do not use this company very bad customer service. They will take your money but not attend to issues afterwards. read more

Very disappointed!! Bought my garage doors from them and was going to have springs and wheels replaced by them. Was told that ?Besser? had bought them out the beginning of 2025, but JMK has "not changed". When I asked if they could give me an estimate over the phone I was told they had to come out and they charge $65 to come out. If I used their service this fee would go toward the repairs. I said I would call several other companies that don't charge a "trip fee". Then magically she told me that they could "waive" this fee!! I received multiple calls back (voicemails) that they (JMK) wanted my business, but I didn't want to do business with deceptive practices. I decided to use a highly rated "smaller" local (Pomona) company that gave me GREAT service and a GREAT PRICE!! Don't use these bigger companies that can afford to ADVERTISE on TV!!! I had another issue with my garage door in which two adjacent panels had some cracks appear near a hinge. That caused some flex & the door had difficulty closing with the opener. JMK had great service before so I called them again. They asked for some photos, so I sent them & they told me it might be something that could be fixed by adding a strut & not having to replace the panels or the door. They were up front and made sure to tell me they wouldn't know for sure until they were on site, but would go with the strut, if possible. They sent Chris, who had fixed my previous issue and again, he was the epitome of professionalism. He called when he was on the way to give an ETA, and when he arrived he assessed the problem and told me it could be fixed with a strut. He fixed the problem, made some small tweaks to help the door operate even better & was done with everything in less than 30 minutes. I just had Louis with JMK Garage Doors out for a service call that required adding the light modules to my existing side mount liftmasters so I could get online access. The job, though simple from a basic installation was complicated by the fact I had previously registered the units under a different email address that was no longer active. Louis got it handled, but it was not easy. Even though the service call took longer than anticipated, Louis did not cut his time short by letting me program our car remote. He took the additional time to do the job complete and when he left everything was working perfectly. He was also the service person that installed a new opener at my son's house in La Verne. Same 5 star level of service. The prices are very reasonable and you will not find a more capable person anywhere!!!
