It was your typical average latte. I did like how strong it was and it came with a kitty paw! (Barista said he was inspired by his cats that morning lol). I tried both sweet and savory dutch babies, and even though I'm a savory person, I liked the sweet one better. It was creamy and bread was soft! The fruits added the perfect texture and sweetness to it. The savory was okay, keep in mind this is also my first time trying a dutch baby, but I would have liked it to have more veggies maybe? I think I was expecting more of it but it was mid to me. The breakfast plate wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Just your basic breakfast plate. The place is super cute and a bit small! They had an amazing selection of pastries, though I didn't try any. I got their Caramelized Banana Latte to satisfy my sweet tooth, and it wasn't too banana-flavored nor too sweet; the black sesame in it balanced it nicely. I also got the Urban Pesto, which was SO yum. I was little skeptical of the focaccia - sometimes I find it to be too puffy, and thus hard to eat the sandwich - but this had a lovely panini press on it that made it easy to eat. The in-house herby cheese in the sandwich made each bite just that much more delicious. The staff was also super nice and accommodating to my parents' requests and questions. I haven't…read morebeen to this location before and I preferred it to my usual location on Roosevelt in UDistrict. It's much more open and comfortable and lends to a nice ambiance. It was quite busy which we anticipated, so I would highly recommend making a reservation. We were seated right away with our reservation time, but it did take some time to be served. I enjoyed the hot coffee with a bit of cream. It was good; my only comment is that I wasn't offered a refill at any point, and we were there for over an hour. To be fair, it was SUPER busy; like at least 100 people in the dining room. I had one of their seasonal specials, the peaches and cream Swedish pancakes. It was a generous portion included with a trip to the berry bar. The berry bar was very fresh and well maintained as far as cleanliness. It was also in a prime location, near the tables but not too close and not in the way of the walking path. The peaches were juicy and sweet and the cream cheese frosting was a decadent topping. I added some berries which made it extra special. I liked the caramel shards, but they were a little on the thick side for my liking and were a bit tough to eat. However, I really enjoyed the dish overall! I also got a side of peppered bacon which was well-cooked, crispy, and extra peppery. My friend got the classic French toast and a side of potatoes. She loved the French toast with the included berry bar trip! However, the potatoes were cut into HUGE pieces which were difficult to eat even though they were cooked through. I would definitely come back here! If you're looking for a popular brunch spot with delicious sweet brunch options, check on Portage Bay Cafe SLU!

For the price, the quality and execution were not acceptable. We used to enjoy coming here, but unfortunately, this visit was a significant letdown. I am the worst kind of Yelp user (I use the service all the time, and I never, ever contribute). But, I had to write a review about Katy's corner. This place is the best coffee shop I've been to. If you're like me, you're going to read the reviews. They're all true. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is "chill" and "cozy". Most importantly, the coffee is fantastic. Try the mocha with dark chocolate. Try the coffee. Try a latte. You'll enjoy them. read more

I live near Katy's and I frequently go here to write. It's got a great environment for writing. The coffee is good, the baristas are nice, and the quiche is fantastic. And for a good price! So if you're looking for some quiet time with your computer and a coffee, maybe come during off hours. Other than that, I love Katy's! read more

Kinda noisy, and should mention Katy has a young kid. Who she lets run all over the place. And will take an extra 5 min to show how to ring up your order to said kid. I stumbled across Katy's this afternoon while walking down the street. I asked for a short Anericano with "lots of room" and it's exactly what I got.
