    I've been coming here for years, and after trying another shop with outrageous prices, I drove back to Old Katy--and it was worth it. I was greeted immediately, given clear pricing and options, and even the manager came out to thank me. Fast service, no wait, and outstanding customer care. Highly recommend Katy Quick Lube.

    Not sure what has happened over the last year or so, but their attention to detail has fallen apart. I have been taking my vehicles here for YEARS, but will never be returning. I got my oil changed this morning and they forgot to either tighten the drain plug or filter or put the washer on the drain plug or make sure the filter gasket was aligned. I noticed this when I got to my office and oil was pouring from underneath the car. It created a puddle after sitting for less than 1 minute. What makes this doubly frustrating is that I mentioned it to the guy checking me out that this had happened before and asked him to make sure everything was right and the drain plug washer was installed. He obviously blew me off. This exact thing happened to me here less than a year ago. Changing oil is most of what they do. How can they not be experts at this? This place is super convenient for me, but no longer worth it. Get your oil changed here at your own peril.

    My only experience was earlier this week when I went in for a state inspection. They left dirty foot prints on the car mat and fingerprints on the armrest. They also weren't wearing masks, although the sign on the door stated they were required. I would not take my car there again.

Buc-ee's certainly embodied that, and then some. For starters, I didn't know there could be that many kinds of jerky. A jerky wall spanning one entire side of the grocery area competed with a stand serving their popular brisket sandwiches. The buck toothed beaver mascot is charming enough, but seeing it printed on everything from onesies to throw pillows to mugs had me wondering how big of a Buc-ee's superfan could one be? Apparently devoted enough to sustain an entire merchandise empire. The food ailes were just as robust. Branded pasta sauces, honey, spices, jams, and even bath and body products lined shelf after shelf. In a zombie apocalypse, you could probably survive stocking up here alone. I was most amused by lotion and soap scented like bucees praline pecans, one of their most popular snacks. The scent sounds cloying to me and I can't imagine intentionally wanting to smell like that, but there's really something for everyone here, no matter how niche the desire.

I rent vehicles on Turo so…read morethere's times when my cars are getting rented twice weekly so the same cars will get washed multiple times in a week span. Yesterday I brought my Tesla in to get washed and the employees there wiped so hard on the lettering that they bent the decal off along with one of the letters. You can see the fibers from the cleaning mitts they used stuck under the lettering. The lead staff informed me and we both took pictures of the affected area. I suggested that I would just order the replacement letters from Amazon and just be refunded next time in at the shop. The lead staff told me that she would have the boss contact me. Moving forward, the boss calls me and instantly begins absolving the shop of any responsibility, saying first, "Oh the shop that wrapped your car did a faulty job so take it back to them." Then after I explained to her that they've washed this same car several times and this NEVER happened, she said, "Oh it's the sun that caused this to happen." As a business owner myself I pride myself on making things right versus absolving myself of any liability. The replacement lettering was $39 on Amazon, less than the price I pay for a wash, but instead of making it right they wanted to make excuses and sidestep the issue. Needless to say, they've lost out on a customer that spends over $500 monthly on car wash services for multiple cars. If you have a higher end vehicle or any vehicle that is wrapped don't go to this place. If anything happens they'll make an excuse to avoid paying anything out.

However, I canceled my car wash membership about seven months ago when they switched to a new system and increased their rates. At that time, they asked for my card to continue service, and I declined because I did not want to proceed at the higher rate. I assumed my account was canceled. Unfortunately, I did not check my bank account for several months, and I later discovered that I had been charged the higher membership rate the entire time -- even though I did not use the service. I have been trying to resolve this issue for about two months, but I have received no response or follow-up communication. While I appreciate the quality of their work and the kindness of the staff, the lack of communication and billing issue is very disappointing. As of today, I still have not been contacted. My account has now been canceled. I am giving one star -- one star for the cleaning quality and friendliness, but the overall experience regarding billing and communication has been frustrating.
