This place is horrendous for its rude and incompetent employees. Once, I wanted an oil change, and the guy went out to start his own business. He came back and asked me why I wanted "inspection." Don't know how the guy gets those two mixed up. I recommend going somewhere that doesn't rip you off and offers better service than this awful place. The place could have been better if the service wasn't overpriced. For example, $82 for an oil change, other auto shops charge you $50-60. I came here for a vehicle Texas inspection and they said it'll take 30 min. But I waited 2 hours and didn't get a notification. I ended up going to the front desk and asked them and they said the car was ready this whole time. I'm very disappointed how much time they wasted for me. We have taken both our cars here for many years. Today, tho, I had a terrible experience. All I wanted was an oil change. First, Service Advisor Jim tried to upsell me to $840! As a woman, I resent this. I agreed to an air filter replacement. Then I noticed my car just sat for about 30 minutes in the service bay with the hood up. Finally I asked someone to check on it. Jim came in then and told me he hadn't realized that they didn't have my air filter. He certainly had not come in to tell me, and I had seen him just hanging out in the bay area. His name is Jim helped me。 He recommended do break oil , air sth so total cost me around 380 . Next day I am on the trip the engine' aluminum cover fall off one side. He did not put the part back very well. I have to find the auto shop removed the cover so I can still drive. When I arrived Vegas, I spent 450 $ for replace the cover! It's nightmare for me! SAVE YOUR MONEY, and don't come here. Trust me, I get it. People pay for convenience and a 'nice' auto shop, but they will overcharge the sh!t out of you! My window recently stopped working, and it was rolled down all the way (which is not gonna fly in this heat). So, I did a quick Yelp search and found Cinco Auto. I called to see if I could come in for them to take a look at it. They said come on by. Great, right? The interior of the shop is clean-nice chairs, and TV, and a great waiting room. Staff seemed nice. It took them 10 minutes to look at my window, and they show me a quote for $650! The part was only labeled as $97, but the labor was $500?!!?! They told me it would be a 'quick fix' and only take an hour to get it done. So, they're charging $500 an hour for labor?!?! I almost choked on my spit!!! Then come to find out, the diagnostics price is $120 (which was never mentioned or said over the phone). I've heard $75-95 for diagnostics by $120 for a 10-minute look at my window? These mechanics must be living lavish with the kind of money they're making here, and their customers are idiots for paying! When I told them I'll take my business elsewhere to shop for prices, they looked at me like I was an idiot and told me that was a standard price for the service (and since I drive a BMW anywhere would be expensive). I ended up going to a shop off Beltway 8 (yes a little drive), but I only paid $200 for the entire job in under an hour of work. Unless you got G's to blow, I wouldn't come here :) read more

I only came here for an oil change and inspection. Nothing more, nothing less. My car was fine prior to bringing it here. My regular mechanic is across town and I thought you couldn't possibly mess up an oil change. Well, I was wrong. When I left, my car started leaking oil. I took it back and they stated that they couldn't find anything wrong. Weeks later, my car began to smoke and oil was burning. I took it to my regular mechanic and ended costing me $2500 due to oil being spilled all over my engine and almost causing the engine to burn up. Never ever ever ever going back to Cinco Auto. Don't be fooled by these people, they were once good but now they are too comfortable. They tried to charge $1200 for oil pan replacement, essentially for $100 part and 1 hr of labor. Also tried to charge $500 for a low beam bulb, claiming housing needed removal. Garbage! replacement takes 10 mins and bulb is $30 max. They are preying on people who don't know any better. Today, I just realized they create another problem for me, which they only changed my car engine thermal radiator and didn't fill coolant well. They didn't vacuum the air. The coolant hose is empty with air no coolant inside after the engine stopped. They didn't make up coolant in full level. Yesterday, I had my truck detailed at CincoAuto2 Car Wash and Automotive off FM1463. Normally, they notify you when your vehicle is ready. What was supposed to take 1 hour ended up taking 2 hours. I understand that delays can happen, but I was the first customer there at 8 am, so that shouldn't have been the case.After waiting for 2 hours, I asked the front desk to check on my vehicle, and they told me it was ready. However, after another 15 minutes, my truck still hadn't been brought to the front. I decided to walk back to the detail area and found my truck just sitting there. When I asked why it wasn't brought up, the staff acted like they didn't understand English. I tipped the guy and got into my truck.At 10:40 am, as I started driving off, I noticed in my rearview mirror that all my belongings were bouncing down the road. My job files, paperwork, cooler filled with drinks, Yeti cup, expensive label maker, and backpack with personal items including my passport, hard drives, and checkbook were scattered everywhere.I stopped, turned around, and began picking everything up while others drove by without helping, even running over my things. However, one very sweet girl got out of her vehicle to help me, which she didn't have to do. If you see this, please message me! I want to do something nice for you.I also want to thank two sweet high school girls from Cinco Ranch who helped me find my lost backpack.This entire situation could have been avoided if the shop had brought my vehicle to me, allowing me to do a 360-degree walk-around and notice the tailgate was down. Here is my horrible experience with Cinco Auto. I went in for a routine oil change. I was having zero problems with my Honda. It gave me a comfortable, smooth, quiet ride. I was told by Cinco Auto manager, Jim, my front brakes were "down to 20%" and it was "too dangerous to drive." So Jim and mechanic "MS" replaced the front brakes. As I started to drive out and heard a loud noise coming from the front so I turned right back to report the problem with the new brakes. The mechanic at the front desk said the manger, Jim, is busy and told me, "new brakes sometimes make noise. If it continues bring it back." The noise continued so I brought it back. In fact, I had to bring my noisy Honda back more then 5 times and as of this writing, Cinco Auto still has not corrected the noise. Every time I brought it back they do a little this or a little of that, and say, "it's fixed." They must be talking about someone else's Honda because mine still has the exact same noise it had on Day#1 when they replaced the front bakes. One mechanic who heard the brake noise told me, "Try to live with the noise." Really?! That's only a brief summary of my miserable experience there. It's been a major inconvenience, frustrating, and costly. Because of Cinco Auto, I missed numerous days from work, I paid for 4 new tires that I did not need, I had to buy new front wheel locks that Cinco Auto damaged by striping them, and I still have the brake noise that started at the exact time they replaced my front brakes. Now I'll have even more expenses to pay for a Honda mechanic to fix the problem created by Cinco Auto. I regret ever stepping foot in Cinco Auto. Worst auto experience ever. Extremely impressed with the professionalism, quickness, cleanliness and versatility of this car shop. I don't have a go to place and I happened to be near here needing an inspection with a short time frame (dropped my wife and kids off to shop) and called first to see if they were busy and I was surprised to get a quick answer and an enthusiastic employee on the phone, firstly, because I had called several other places before. He told me they do inspections and that there's only one in front of me, so of course I came right over. I love how Russell (the one I talked to on phone too) hustles. He was all over the place talking to people and running the business, answering the phone too. And the mechanics were running around hustling. It's nice to see they're working hard, I'm not used to seeing both friendliness and hustle in the repertoire. The shop is huge, bright and shiny, lots of eye candy. I may sound like a bit of a sell out going for a boushie place, but personally I could care less as long as it's fast (bc inspections are the same price whenever I go now with the new law), so this is all just a bonus. On a quick, basic level, (based on this experience) I recommend this place to anyone! It's kinda like the feeling I get pulling up in a single engine, puddle jumping plane to Business Jet center (super boushie) to fill-er-up and get the same, royal treatment millionaires get: I know I probably don't belong in my ratchy 150,000 mile hatchback, but I'll take the complimentary cookies, coffee and popcorn all day long! read more

They provide excellent service every time we go. They are courteous, nice and honest. They always call to give a quote before working on repairs. We gave our car for oil change, and instead of replacing it automatically, they checked to make sure we really needed it. We still had 4000 miles left before needing an oil change, so they called us to tell us we didn't really need it right away. We only tried them because they are in our neighborhood. With the kind of service we get from them, we don't have a reason to go anywhere else. read more

They were unprofessional and dishonest. I called the shop about an oil change. The worker said that as long as I arrived by 6 PM I should be fine. I brought the car in at around 5:49. As I dropped the car off and walked away, a worker yelled from the shop: -Hey, we're closing! We usually close the gate right at 6. I responded saying I would be back by 6PM. I came back at 5:57 to make sure I would arrive by 6, to find my car already parked and a bill for over $80 for an oil change. I had not ask them for an estimate as I had assumed they were honest. To top it off, the kid stuck mileage sticker on the stereo instead of the corner of the windshield. $80 is a lot for an oil change but it's a cheap lesson. I will not take my car anywhere else in this area! These people are awesome! Manager is so nice... took the time to explain and even show me what was wrong with my car. I was having some issues with the front tires making noises since having them and the brake pads redone. They not only gave me advice over the phone but test drove it and took off the tire and checked the brake pad (which I thought might be the problem since it was just replaced) It is so difficult especially as a woman to find a good, honest mechanic that does not try and scam you or treat you like you are an idiot! I seriously appreciate these people so much. They for sure always have our business! read more

Pros: Friendly and quick service, seemingly does the job right. Has ESPN and another TV in the waiting area to keep me entertained while waiting. Cons: Ridiculously expensive. First of all, they charged $100 just to check my check engine light. I later found out this could be done for free at places at AutoZone. They told me I needed to replace my Air Flow Sensor and asked for $200. I talked to my mechanic friend and I ended up just buying one on Amazon for $80 and changing it out myself in 5 minutes. I'm horrible with handy work and repairs like this but it was quick and easy and saved me over $100. The 2nd time I visited I used a coupon from their e-coupon website, think it was maybe $5 or $10 off an oil change. I should have asked up front how much it was but when they were done it was $50, after the coupon was applied! I've never paid more than $30 for an oil change in my life! Tips: Make an appointment because this place gets busy. Come if you want to splash cash for the convenient location. read more

I've gone to Cinco Auto for two separate issues and was consistently quoted almost twice as much as other auto shops. When I contacted Cinco Auto, I was told that they would not come down any on their quotes, so I took my business elsewhere. Hello long post alert As it is not possible to give below a 1 star I am stuck with giving them 1 star Dec 2021 I went to Cinco auto to get my car inspected, drop off my car at 10 am , didn't get it back until 4:30 pm as no one bothered to call me or get it ready . I get my reciplet but no inspection report and I leave as it's part of the new upload to the county website directly. Go to the county office they say they cannot see the report , after waiting for 1.5 hours call and go back to the shop to get my report they reprit the report and give it to me go back to the county office to find out this is the old expired report they have given me go back to the shop again the manager gives me someone else's report and says it's mine After lots of questions I find out the inspection is never done and hence no report. the manager lies to me that they did oil change instead or inspection that day , but again the oil change sticker in my car doesn't match to what he is telling me THEY LIE , don't go to this shop very disappointed read more
