I've been a satisfied and grateful customer for many years. The staff is impeccably honest and sincere. They always deliver on schedule and never try to sell you anything that you don't need. Word to the wise; listen to them about preventative maintenance. Since I came to trust them about prevention my annual costs for vehicle service and repair have plummeted. I send every friend I have to Lonestar and just cannot say enough good about them. I was motivated to write, however, because of something that I witnessed at my last visit. Shortly after I arrived a worker at Lonestar found an envelope lying in the lobby floor. The envelope had contents but I did not know what. About 20 minutes later as I was preparing to leave a man drove up and asked the desk clerk if he had found an envelope that the man had left behind. The clerk asked him to describe the contents and the man said, "It had a bank receipt and $800 in cash in it". The clerk asked, "What bank?" to which the man answered correctly and the clerk nonchalantly handed him the envelope. I was very impressed. Very impressed. Seriously folks, many mechanic shops look for a way to invent additional repairs or rip the public off. Lonestar is so off the charts with integrity that they don't even blink at returning found money. WOW. By the way, adding to my point here, I learned after inquiring that the man whose money was returned had received an estimate but elected to attempt the repairs himself instead. In other words, Lonestar's staffer returned the money without a blink to a man that had declined being a customer. Lonestar does great work, on time, at a very good price. This business is horrible. I don't recommend people ever go to this for auto inspection! I went there yesterday for my 1 yr car inspection. The tech drove my car all the way to the back that made me suspicious what they gonna do with my car. Then the guy in the front desk told me right away that I needed a new wiper blades. I told him that mine are new, I just replaced it before the inspection last year (August). I bought this OEM which is to last very long, not just one year. So I told him I would take my car back. When I got home, I inspected my car and realized that they already cut the blade to ruin it so that I no longer can use it. The purpose of yearly inspection is not to make these people doing such a business like this, make people pay what they don't have to pay! read more

These are the guys you need to have in your back pocket when the inevitable happens! No one really ever wants their vehicles to underperform, misbehave and all in all just die on you, but that will happen. These folks are not my primary vehicle maintenance folk, but they were my original people when I first moved to Katy. The staff is great here. They listen to your concerns, and they don't seem like they will try to sell your blinker fluid when they are all said and done. Interesting tidbit about this business, they have a mixture of Spanish speakers and people of Islamic faith here. I actually found a book on Islam, written in Spanish, in the waiting area! All in all, I have had a decent experience with them. One time a job that I thought was completed turned out not to be completely done, and they took my vehicle back right away and did not try to charge me extra for the job they should have had 100% correct the initial visit. With a great staff that is always friendly, coupled with good pricing, you can feel confident getting your vehicle serviced here. They even do state inspection stickers if you need that knocked out while your vehicle is getting tuned up. Give them a try when needed. read more

I brought my Camaro to this shop for air conditioning problem and they fix it. However, the Service stabili turned on and they insisting that it was on when i brought my car. They didn't mentioned anything when they called me. They tried diagnosting it again and they told me that something wrong on my back suspensions. I know something is fishy that's why i brought my car to other shop. Come and behold, i was right the first time that they forgot to connect something inside. Below are the images what they forgot to connect. This people will twist their words to make you at fault. They will make you feel guilty that they already giving you a big discount when you tell them that something is wrong. Now I have to pay again for the labors for their crappy job. Especially Mohammed, he flat out told me that something wrong on the back of car and nothing connected to what they repaired and when i called him back he lied and said that he did not say that. Would not recommend. In June 2019 I took my car there and it was diagnosed with having bad roters. I had them changed and in March 2020 I started having the issues again. Brought it back to them it was still within their warrant so they changed the roters a second time but it was recommended that I change the back breaks. Changed the breaks. Here it is August 2020 and my car started doing the same thing it was doing in 2019. I should have know there was an issue because each time I go there they are hiring mechanics and there are different faces besides the owner. read more

Recently I tried to recharge my AC with the R134 Freon and almost blew out my compressor. Took both my vehicles in and was completed in lest than 1 1/2 hours and they were both blowing out arctic air. And the price was less that a third if I would have went into the dealerships. Extremely horrible service!! My husband took in our Honda Civic to get the a/c fixed. Joe charged us $95 and led us to believe that the problem was fixed. A few day's later our a/c was still not working and so my husband took the car back to get the car checked again. Joe the owner completely changed his story and said that he had only put freon and a dye to check where the leak was coming from. If he would've explained that he was going to charge $95 just to do that then we would've obviously walked away and not have our money stolen from this man!! I tried speaking to Joe over the phone and he was EXTREMELY RUDE. He didn't let me speak and hung up on me. Take your car elsewhere! By far the most accommodating auto shop I've ever been to. If it's not broken, they won't tell you to fix it. Most shops will have you spending money on issues that aren't even present, but you would never know. They are very reassuring and communicate very well. You'll know what exactly the problem is, how they will fix it, and how much it will cost shortly after arriving. The prices are excellent. I literally have zero complaints. This is the only place I will go to when in Texas. The customer service is always excellent as well. Welcoming, energetic, and ready to have you driving safely. Have had all my cars in there. From Inspection Stickers to Axel Replacement. Always a correct assement and a more than fair price. Mohammed and sons do an excellent job and if you do need to hunt down parts its no problem. Other shops wont do the work unless they can markup the hell out of the parts price. Long story short, My husband and I are new to the Katy Area because of his new job. Our van needed an alignment so I drove down the street and stopped at the closest Auto Repair shop to the house, which happened to be this one, I was told my brakes needed resurfacing. I JUST BOUGHT new brake pads and resurfaced before driving down to Houston two weeks ago!!!! I told them I couldn't afford it right then but would come back in a week or so. I will not be taking our vehicles back there ever again, they could not have been more misleading and untruthful. Worst consumer service experience I have ever had. Saying the guy was extremely rude is an understatement. The guy is a scam artist. Went for an alignment, seemed pretty nice when it came to get me to spend my money. When I got the car back it did not seem like they had done anything to it, it pulled to the right more if anything. I went back to ask them if they could please check my car out and he just started going off for no reason telling me they were extremely busy and they could not attend my car at the moment. I asked them when was it a good time and he just yelled "I don't know, another day!". The mechanic that was with him was actually trying to help me and even said he would take a look at my car and "front guy" cut him off and said no. He told me that their was no warranty and that once it was off the lot that was it, and that apperantly I had bad tires. Funny thing is took my car for an alignment because I had just gotten all brand new tires. He continued making excuses to try to get rid of me until I did get tired and left. So basically I got ripped off. I advice everyone to NOT do business with this scam artist. Save your money and go elsewhere, he'll make you have to spend more money in the end. read more

WORST Customer service ever I went in to have a front in alignment done on my truck I just bought brand-new tires he was going to charge me $200 at first I seen a little skeptical because all he did was say sarcastic things to me his name was joe I guess he runs the place anyway when I leave my truck I got a call saying that there's a part of my truck that is broken and the alignment cannot be done so I ask him how much the part will be he said would charge me 150 if they order the parts... I went in at AutoZone and got the part for $20... I asked him how much it will be for him to install the part he said he charge me $50 for labor at first I was a little skeptical but then I thought maybe he actually knows what he's doing so I agreed a couple hours went by he gave me a call to come and get my truck I did not drive the vehicle before paying unfortunately after I gave him my money I drove the truck off the lot it's still pull to the right I think it pulled even more to the right all he did was show me some papers that had percentages of the front and back tires basically I got ripped off $250 I return the following day to tell him that the truck was still pulling to the right he told me there were other problems wrong with my truck that he NEVER informed me about as to why the alignment couldn't be done so basically I paid him $250 for nothing DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!!! read more

Is it possible to give this place no stars, or negative stars? I took my truck in cause it was shaking and you can hear the engine ticking. I told Joe that from my experience I needed a valve job and asked how much it would be. Mind you I've been working on cars for 33 years but as engine space has gotten tighter and with the computers, I've worked on them less and less. Joe had a mechanic put a machine on it and told me that the problem was I needed new coils and plugs, a tune up. The ABS light was on as well so I left it with him to do the work. He calls me later that morning to tell me that my break pads were broken, although I didn't hear any squeaking, or fell any grinding that is typically associated with bad pads I had them do the work. they did not finish the work that day. The next day I get a call from him saying that the tune up was done but the bad news was my valves and seals were needing to be replaced. Just like I said in the beginning, but he said he drove it himself and it was running good, I could pick it up. I was out of town so my wife went to get the truck. She called me to tell me that the truck was still shaking and now the AC wasn't working. I called him back with a series of questions, why is the AC suddenly not working, why did he wait till after he did the tune up and put the car back together to tell me that the problem was my original diagnosis and it would be an additional 2000 on top of the 1500 he charged for the work he supposedly done so far? He told me to have my wife bring the truck back and he would look at the AC. Now he claims the compressor has a leak and that he can tell it had been checked before because he can see a dye under the black light. I bought this truck new in 2012 with 26 miles on it and I have NEVER HAD THE AC CHECKED. I have never had a problem with the AC. So it goes in his shop on Monday and the AC was working, it comes out on Tuesday and it isn't working. He filled the Freon "as a courtesy" and by Wednesday afternoon the AC is not working again. Now he is offering me to fix the valves and seals and provide me a car cause the job will take a week to complete for 1750 CASH. I afraid that if I have him do any other work something else that was working fine on the truck will suddenly not be working when I take it out. I'm taking it to the dealers and have them fix it but also verify that he actually did the work he claims was done. Don't let Joe fool you as he did me. He comes across like a friendly guy that is there to help you and he has your interest at hart, but something about this whole thing is suspect. Take your car somewhere else. read more
