Great place to grab lunch! Took my daughter here as there's a bunch of toddler friendly foods! We ordered on the screen - got the cheese mozzarella sticks, the french fries and chicken wings - soy garlic. Didn't realize that the chicken wings came with fries so we had a lot of fries. Everything was delicious! So many things on the menu I need to try,

I've always liked this place, but my most recent visit left much to be desired. The service is still quick and the staff are nice, but the food quality has gone downhill, likely a sign of hard economic times. Although my pork katsu was cooked properly, it was served over a bed of really dry rice. I only ate it because I was hungry and compensated for the dry rice by doubling up on katsu sauce. I was also disappointed to see that they no longer carry Stubborn corn syrup free soda, just the standard offerings. I'm not quitting this spot yet. I hope things pick up. It's hard to find quick, convenient katsu.

was in Glendale and looking for a place to eat. Saw this Katsu place and thought "um katsu" so went with wife. the ordering is by self kiosk so it was easy what i notice is that even though this is a katsu place their menu has a variety of item like noodles (asian and no asian noodles) and sando sandwiches. they note in their site they offer a diverse menu u but i think too diverse. i got fish katsu 3 pieces of katsu fish with a good amount t of rice and korean radishes. wife got sando sandwich the katsu was decent it was well katsu and filling. but was disappointed with the sando sandwich. it was just ok i was hoping for more flavor. this is lt bad for a bite to eat in the area it's about $15-16 per dish the room was roomy with plenty of seating

Creative is always on the menu." Walking into Katsu Bar Glendale, that slogan says it all. From matcha strawberry and dirty matcha that feel like boba-shop drinks, to egg sando, chicken yaki udon, and creative fusion pasta, rice bowls, udon, and tteokbokki -- this place truly delivers creative yet delicious Asian fusion food. You order from a kiosk and seat yourself. The food was brought out to us by a nice staff member. We ordered the cauliflower tempura, tteokbokki cream katsu (chicken) udon, and rose pasta with chicken katsu. We loved how crunchy the katsu was, and the chicken wasn't dry at all. The pastas were flavorful. The cauliflower tempura was crispy but could have used a bit more seasoning. Overall, it's a great place for a quick dine with reasonable prices.

We stopped in for dinner the other night. There is plenty of parking in the parking structure. The restaurant itself is modern and quaint. We got the kimchi dumplings. Nice and crispy on the outside and filled with kimchi on the inside. We made short work of them. We got a shrimp katsu sando. Each sando had 2 pieces of shrimp katsu. They were crispy on the outside and moist, flavorful shrimp on the inside. They also come with a side of waffle fries. We had to get a curry katsu plate. We got chicken katsu that was large and tender. The curry was so good. It was quite filling. We also needed to try the apple chili sandwich. We got it with a pork katsu. The apple chili and pork katasu pair perfectly just like apple sauce and pork chops. And we got a Korean street food omelet sando. The fluffiness of the eggs and the veggies in the omelet work so well with the soft bread. I already need another one! Last but not least we got a strawberry sando. The cream and fresh strawberries go so well with the bread. Perfect way to finish the meal. Service was super friendly and helpful. We cannot wait to get back to try more of the menu.

Great food in a busy area of Glendale. It's housed alongside a Poke Bar and what seems to be a small pasta place. All the food- pork katsu apple sandwich with fries, calamari, chicken katsu curry combo, and wings- was delicious. Juicy, hot, and flavorful (favorite was the sandwich!) The service was okay. We possibly came on a rough day, so I'll give them grace. First, a staff member visibly got upset at us taking time before placing our order (it was our first time, and options are ample between the three restaurant options), then ordered someone "you take their order," and walked off. Later on, our food came out and we noticed we had regular fries with our pork sandwich combo, instead of the seasoned waffle fries shown on the menu. When we spoke up to staff, they simply stated that they ran out of waffle fries. That would've been great to know in advance. Also, we were given an extra order of the katsu curry combo, which confused us at first. However, since we already began eating it, it would've made sense for the staff to let us keep it, right? Instead, they came to our table later and took it away. I get that it was an extra order we hadn't paid for, but why not either let us keep it or take away the one we hadn't touched? Regardless, the food was good and perhaps the service was just off this day. I'd still return.

Katsu bar Finally got to try this viral spot. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. I got their strawberry matcha latte, cauliflower tempura, bulgolgi and cali roll yubu pockets, steak rice bowl, chicken truffle cream pasta, and apple chili sandwich to try. The strawberry matcha was perfectly sweet and had a good balance of sweet strawberry and earthy bitter matchay flaves. The cauliflower tempura had a lightly crisp outside with a tender cauliflower inside and came with a creamy garlicky mayoy dipping sauce that wasn't for me. The bulgolgi and cali roll yubus were LOADED with their toppings, had a sweet chewy tofu skin filled with sesame oil seasoned rice. I didn't really like the Cali roll one tho cuz it had a really strong mayoy flave and stringy texture that reminded me of worms. The bulgolgi was good, tender, umami and sweet tho. The meat steak bowl tasted like the bulgolgi on the yubu and came with a juicy corn rib, mayoy lowkey mushy Mac salad, chunky yolky egg salad, and a crunchy cabbage topped with a mayoy sauce. The truffle pasta was creamy and rich and had mellow truffley flaves. The chicken that came with it was also salty and tough. The apple chili was pretty good tho. I got it with the pork katsu which was nicely crispity crunchy and paired well with that slightly spicy apple chili sauce that kinda reminded me of the flaves of apple pie? It also had crunchy coleslaw and pickles and a buttery thick brioche bun. Katsu here is definitely pretty good but the rest overall eh. Strawberry matcha $5.50 Cauliflower tempura $8.99 Bulgolgi Yubu $4 Cali roll yubu $4 Steak rice bowl $17.99 Chicken Truffle cream pasta $16.99 Apple chili sandwich $15.99

What I got: Katsu Tteokbokki Shrimp Katsu Truffle Cream Pasta Soy Garlic Wings with Fries Sweet & Spicy Wings with Fries Baja Chipotle Sandwich with Fries This is my second time coming here! Really love this place my go to Asian food in Glendale. Soo much options to choose from and never getting tired of it! I'm obsessed with their katsu especially the one with pasta. The food is always soo soo good! I wish more people would come here and try it! It's affordable and the portions are good for sharing. They have all the food options from Katsu, rice ,pasta, poke, Sandwhich ,desserts and drinks. Such a good value for the price! Service is always amazing, the food comes out really quick, very tasty and presented well. The ambiance is nice, plenty of seating, drinks, condiments and napkins and utensils are all self served. I will comeback again to try more of their other dishes. Super yummy

Following a visit to the Martial Arts History Museum (fascinating museum! Definitely worth a visit.), directly across the street from Katsu Bar, my BF and I stopped in to Katsu Bar for a quick bite. We had been meaning to come to this friendly, casual café for awhile. We were not disappointed! There were so many menu options; an unexpected surprise! From the street you have no idea that inside this unassuming place is some very gourmet food being served. In the end, we chose to share the Katsu Bowl ($15.99), a perfect example of the whole made wonderful because of the sum of its many parts! It started with the delicious moist Panko-breaded breast of Chicken Katsu, sliced, and placed over the bowl of rice. And then topped with many ingredients. I've never had a rice bowl that included corn on the cob! And an egg! And cabbage! And onion! So much and so delicious. We shared it because it was just mid afternoon and we were only moderately peckish and it was the perfect amount for us. We were impressed and almost overwhelmed with the many choices on the menu. Menu pictures are included here so you can see the selection. We are definitely looking forward to returning. And PS, although it took us a minute to realize that nobody was coming to take our order and the iPads on the counter were supposed to be used, not just admired, lol, in the end we thought they were very cool.

There's a nice variety of options here, in a VERY spacious atmosphere. Ordering is done through the kiosks, and the team is very friendly and was open to guiding me through options I was unfamiliar with. Items are prepared at ordering so if you're seeking something quick be aware it may take some time. The portions were larger than I expected! I ordered the katsu platter and the katsu was an excellent size with some sizeable sides (especially the cabbage and the rice. Overall it was a good taste and enjoyable, though maybe it was me but the rice texture was not quite what I was used to (being very firm). Another time I tried the musubi, which comes premade and wrapped then heated upon ordering. It's heated in the plastic wrap so it was a bit difficult to remove and I was a little concerned of the plastic being heated onto the food but YOLO. It was good, so if the other musubi or onigiri location is closed and you're craving some this is a decent alternative. If you're hungry, you won't leave hungry and the pricing is reasonable for what you get.

Katsu Bar Glendale Have you been? This location amazed me with more menu items and creativity in recipes. The recipe for their Korean Rose Cream Sauce is amazing! It's the perfect balance of flavor and it over pasta was truly tasting a hidden gem. On top of that, eating it with a crispy chicken Katsu and arugula.Perfection in my eyes. It reminded me of eating chicken parm but Korean style. This spot daily special for $12.99 that includes a huge ufo shaped Katsu Sandwich ontop of a mountain of waffle fries. Their appetizer menu includes over 10 choices and I tasted the sauce and sticky rice cakes along with a mountain of popcorn chicken.

Fish Katsu Sandwich w/ Fries Tteokbokki with Katsu Yubo bulgogi and spam

I don't know what I was expecting but not this. Literally everything we got was delicious. They have tablets up front so you can order without feeling the pressure of a cashier staring you down. We got the chicken katsu sandwich with fries. Two yubos (bulgogi and spam) and tteokbokki with katsu. The sandwiches were perfectly balanced and no ingredient overpowered another. The yubos were delicious except the bulgogi was a little cold. The tteokbokki was delicious and spicy. Heads up if you don't like spicy. Overall the restaurant has a cool vibe and great food.

I heard great things about this place and I got to finally try it!…read more Walking in we were greeted right away. The server told us to look at the menu when we're ready to order we can go to the front and order with someone once we ordered we were able to find a seating and the server who greeted us told us to sit in where we want so we chose a seating in the back near the drinks fountain. We ordered a premium New York steak dish and a regular beef dish with a drink, and we ended out getting some diet Pepsi. Near the drink fountain was sauce and utensils, which we tried both soy garlic and sweet and sour sauce. When the food came, it was super hot, so be careful when you have a little kids. We had to cut the steak into small pieces to make sure that we can share it together and also mix it with the rice which was in the separate bowl. The other beef dish was easier to mix, and we ended up using the white garlic for both because it tastes the best vs the other sauce. The New York steak was very tender. Definitely enjoy the size portions and loved the variety of vegetables it comes with. My son enjoyed the New York State more than the beef bowl. The place is very nice. I think I really enjoyed how we were able to choose our own seating after ordering. They even had a restrooms in the back, which are very clean.

But recent experience really didn't quite do it for us. The place feels grimy and sticky everywhere, the tables, chairs, and even the doors. The big order panel doesnt even work and you have to order at the counter, which is also taking phone orders. I had to wait for the staff to take a 5 minute phone order while I stood at the counter awkwardly. They also rolled out a kids menu, and my daughter was very excited about the pasta option on there because on the drawing it looked like pasta with a tomato sauce. It came plain with bits of dry chicken. Very disappointed. The food from the main menu is still decent but I doubt I would be going back as often as before now.
