New storefront and bakery in the heart of Hilo. Reserved parking stalls next to the front door. This location is also next door to Hilo Lunch Shop. Stop on for coffee, bagels, desserts and cute hats or gifts. They're also a few tables for indoor seating. The owner and friend running the front counter were very friendly and personable. Service was quick for our specialty coffee.

Cute mother daughter bakery with cookies, cupcakes, banana breads, cakes and other goodies. So friendly! They helped me decide what the favorites are, which are many! We settled on 2 types of banana bread that was amazing!!! Would definitely get again! Comfortable seating and cute deco inside the bakery! Very nice!

I wanted a flavored gender reveal cake and we weren't allowed to pick anything flavor of cake other than vanilla, which I can understand for the frosting it's easier to color a vanilla frosting. But cake? Nothing else ? Not even Haupia ? I've baked cakes for years. I wanted another local bakery to do this surprise for us and such a disappointment, clearly over baked and done the day before. Wasn't fresh. For the price it was a huge miss. Frosting was nice. And yes sadly we will finish the $80 6 " inch around Vanilla on vanilla cake with Ube ice cream. Highly recommend.

In the meantime, I ordered 3 specialty drinks: toasted coconut hot chocolate, chocolate chai latte, Mauka Trail mocha (with non-dairy Mac nut milk), and a Kona Coffee & chocolate gelato milk shake. Every beverage was delicious! The young lady, who made them was very sweet, friendly, and soft spoken. The young lady helping my brother with the sweets was also very nice & friendly. The interior was really cute with a section dedicated to keiki (children). There were tables and a seating area with couches and a little gift shop displaying colorful artwork by local artists all illuminated by interesting lighting. We definitely want to return before we leave to try their gelato. But, we will also pick up more desserts because their baked goods were truly scrumptious, which included Lilikoi pie, flourless chocolate cake, a variety of cannolis, cookies, and Ricotta pound cake. We were on a sugar high but that's vacation in Hawaii for you! Aloha!

She asked me if I wanted a half or a whole. I thought it would be nice to have leftovers so I ordered a whole. I have leftovers for several meals; I could not finish even one half. Such a good sandwich! In the past I have also enjoyed the chicken pesto sandwich. The shortrib was my favorite. Everything is freshly made to order and the owner is a lovely person and clearly a hard worker. Her pastries are beautiful and the prices are in line with the area. I'm so glad that she is conveniently located here in the village

My mom and I walked around this fairly new development to find lunch, and we definitely made the right choice! They had their offerings posted in a chalkboard outside and the braised short rib bahn mi caught our eye. We went in to order and asked about sizing to see if we should get two things or just one, the lady at the front said that the half bahn mi is large in size and a full bahn mi could feed us both. So we got a full size. SHE WAS NOT JOKING! The piece pictured counts as a half of the sandwich. It was bigger than my labubu! They don't use your typical bahn mi bread, it's more like a ciabatta bread, but it was so delicious! There was a large piece of soft tender short rib perfectly seasoned and vegetables for days! My mom and I stared at it and wondered how we were going to be able to take a bite because it was so huge (don't worry we figured it out) Before leaving we also grabbed a Dubai chocolate cheesecake. What a delicious dessert! My favorite cheesecake that I've had anywhere for sure! A huge plus is that on top of the delicious food was that the the place being clean, inviting, and the people there were so sweet! The lady in the front was super kind and friendly and the people behind the the counter came out to make sure that we loved what we ate (and we did!). Good food and good people. Can't beat that! Also if you are like me and don't like going to places with no parking, there is SOOOO much parking, so don't worry! If you are in the area, I highly recommend checking this place out!

We tried the Bomboloni and Nutella Coconut croissant during our initial visit. The Bomboloni reminds me of a malasada but I enjoyed the creamy filling of this so much more. We ended up going back on our last day and tried some of the savory options - the goat cheese pesto croissant and then sausage roll were standouts for us. In fact, except Madam Pele does NOT necessarily keep to the same schedule as the bakery, would try to time my Volcano drives to coincide with Friday, Saturday, or Sunday! Hahah. Today got a sampling of Mediterranean scones (savory with olives and delicious seasonings), croissants, danish, and my favorite... the ube cruffin. Holy Moly Batman... that one item was worth the drive alone! Since there really wasn't any real estate in our tummies, we split everything 3 ways... over the course of the next few hours. Two weeks later, still thinking about that ube cruffin! Would definitely do a repeat on that as well as the Medeterranean scones while trying other items. And as the nice couple infront of us in line mentioned, will have to return for the sister deli across the parking lot. Heard it was featured in Guy Hagi's food vlog. And if its good enough for Guy Hagi its where I want to be my next mealtime!
