Is the room open or closed off --meaning is there a door to the room? How much did I want to spend? I could tell that he knows his business -- WELL. Peter then recommended an A/C brand, including the number of BTUs. He also gave me the model number, and then quoted the price, with delivery charge and tax The A/C he recommended is functioning very well (it is EXTREMELY quiet, just as he said it would be). Yaaay! The biggest and best "plus" is that it has a timer that I can (do) set, to have the unit turn itself on --about an hour before I arrive home. He said he would send his painter to fix my walls and after having to chase him down, he finally had the painter come. I could have done a better job fixing it than this guy. Just slapped some paint on without sanding or anything. It looked awful. So then Nick said he wanted to come take a look at it He said he was coming and never showed or called. When I contacted him a few days later he proceeded to literally yell at me and treat me so disrespectfully. Totally unacceptable for a store owner to speak this way. All of my questions were expertly answered, and each step in diagnosis was perspicuously detailed. Informed by years of experience, Ijjumaa's chain of deduction and reasoning flows effortlessly. By the time he reached his conclusion, I felt no surprise and had a pretty good idea of the range of costs i faced. After clarifying my choices, he explained avenues for resolution and their practical (part options, time and logistics) and financial ramifications. He suspected that the $150 part (plus labor) was malfunctioning temporarily, having been frozen. Where Dockery's might have charged me for a part that was not working before removing it, they chose to invest in my trust by reinstalling the part and recommending a procedure to follow after he had left and the fridge had completed it's defrost cycle.

I have a freezer that was bought from Sears with a warranty 6 years ago. This Eastside company was…read morethe company contracted to fix it. The motor died and I called Sears to have the freezer taken a look at. The guy came a few days later and tested the motor and determined that its dead. So he called Sears and told them the problem and they would ship out a new part, but the part would come to me instead of the mechanic. After about a week and a half the part came and we called Eastside. They said they be there in 2 days in a certain time frame, but when 6pm came, he called and said he wouldn't be able to make it out, so we had to wait thru another weekend without a freezer. Finally on a Monday, we were first on his list, but he had another person with him. My mother was present, but she didn't observe their work. They only took a little more than a half hour to "fix" the problem. Now the freezer wasn't getting cold as it should've been. Not even one week and the freezer stopped working. I immediately called Sears and told them the freezer broke down again. They sent another person to check it out and saw that the new motor was never installed!!! They essentially stole it and charged Sears! A wire was also cut and covered with black tape. I couldn't believe I was ripped off by these crooks who call themselves repairmen! In the future you should watch every repair person fixing or installing anything to make sure they're not doing something underhanded. Do not use Eastside Services!!!
