Been going to Ralph's for over 60 years and my parents before me. Always happy until recently when it was discovered that an appliance I had purchased 1 1/2 years ago at Ralph's had been improperly installed. The installer from Ralph's told me it was vented improperly. GREAT STORE!!! I have always been hesitant to purchase appliances from a small store, but almost two years ago I was in a hurry to purchase a dishwasher before my counter top was being in installed the next day. I fell upon Ralph's online, called and spoke to the owner. He told me what he had and told me to come in. He helped me choose a dishwasher that suited my needs, a brand that I knew of, and got it to me that night. I can't tell you have grateful I was. When I looked up the product (I always research prices and brands before, but this was an emergency), I found it was a great product and a great price. I fell in love. About a month ago I needed a new washer/dryer. I started to do research and knew what I had in mind. I then remembered Ralph's and knew that Jim or Andrew would take good care of me. I already had an idea of the prices. I went in, was helped without being rushed -- I ask a LOT of questions -- and ended up purchasing my washer/dryer. They gave me a great deal, a quick delivery, AND I soon got a phone call saying that they realized I was eligible for a $250 rebate because I bought the pair and submitted it for me. I don't think Sears or Best Buy would have called me because they discovered a rebate for me! But these guys look out for their customers. So disappointed!!We have been Ralph's customers for 10 years and have purchased a few different types of appliances there. After 11 months with a new Bosch dishwasher - it stopped working. Bosch came to repair and said the electrical installation was faulty. The wires had burned out inside the box that was installed by RALPH'S. Ralph's connected me with their electrician who was rude and completely nasty! He even started yelling at me. Ralph's never followed up after. The repair cost $304 but worse was the fact that the installation - had the Bosch machine not shown an error code - could have started an electrical fire. After 2 emails to Ralph's - no response. As a neighbor looking for a small replacement piece for a stove that Ralph's carries. The sales associate refused to assist me for the sole reason that I had not bought my appliance from Ralph's. Ralph's electric claims to be sales and service, but from my experience this morning the word "service", should be excluded from what they offer. They always take responsibility for making sure the purchase works out. They know their product lines well, but the real benefit is that they will look after you until things are working (unlike our experience with some other big-name alternatives). In our experience the service is excellent. For example, we had a washing machine installed which turned out to be faulty (no fault of theirs) out of the box. In spite of an approaching storm, national stock shortages, covid, and a very busy delivery schedule, they managed to swap out and reinstall a new working unit for us within 24 hours. read more

Ralph's is a great local business that I love to support. Sometimes their prices seem higher than places like sears or Best Buy but I'll tell you why they are actually a steal. Delivery any hookup of my dryer was free. Other places were trying to charge me $300!! So I got a better brand name with the money I saved on that. Their delivery men bust their behinds. The delivery guy just had to take out the frame to our doorway to get an item in. He did it with a smile on his face. He did a great job getting it back in too without hardly any damage! I live in an old small house so buying appliances is hard Bc these appliances keep getting bigger and bigger. I had a delivery guy from sears once refuse to lift an appliance down a flight of stairs because it was too heavy. The salesperson was helpful and knowledgeable. After that it was a complete nightmare. After waiting over two months for an oven which I could gave gotten cheaper from Amazon in two days, I had to deal with the installers. They were rude and incompetent. I ended up with an oven that was installed crooked, a large gash in my wall and a mess inside and outside of my house. When I confronted these losers they told me to call the office and scattered out quickly. I am now going to have to call a legitimate gas company to make sure the installation was done correctly. Excellent service and prices have kept me coming back to Ralph's Electric. I like to support local businesses, and over the 22 years we've been here, all of our appliances: dishwashers, clothes washer, dryer, microwave and 2 refrigerators (a newer one after a remodeling) have been purchased here. All have performed up to expectations. I do some online price checking before going to the store. Andrew, one of the salesmen, always finds a rebate or some other way to save even more than what I find online. Ralph's has the friendliest sales staff and I must say very honest and accomodating. Answered all our questions and more which made us feel relaxed because appliance purchases always make me feel nervous and lost because so expensive and not easy to return like a shirt! I had a crazy bad experience with another company trying to buy a washer. I had gone a week without doing laundry for my family of 5 and Ralph's was AMAZING! I called before I went in to explain what I was looking for and get a sense if they could find something in my budget. Over the phone I felt like they had my best interests at heart. They really knew all their products, the pros and cons to each washer and left me feeling informed and confident in my purchase. Not only that, they delivered my washer the NEXT DAY! We purchased a dryer from this store. While the sales person was very helpful and appear honest the delivery experience could not have been worse. The delivery person arrived with attitude and stated that the machine could not be brought down to the basement without damaging the walls. We have a rather large entrance. When questioned he got into an argument and decided to pick the machine back from our drive way and drove away. When called the store first I was given a run around but finally the owner called back. Having had this experience (and having our machine taken away from us) we asked for a refund. They first insisted that I had to present to the store however eventually agreed to refund over the phone. We wasted a good day on these activities and ended up with no dryer. Yes nice sales pitch but poor customer service.Will never go back to this store. read more
