I am not a religious person...but eating food from Kashmir is a spiritual experience. It's the kind of food that makes you audibly groan "mmm...are you kidding?!" to nobody in particular. I've gotten take out from them so many times and I have made it a point to turn my friends over to it as well. You guys, I literally cannot recommend this food enough. I've eaten it sober, half in the wrapper, coming down from mushrooms, and stoned--eating their food consistently feels like a warm blanket for my stomach. The flavors, the consistency, the spice--all of it is so f-ing good. By all means. Don't take my word for it. Order the food. You will not regret it. The food is awesome hands down. Sometimes it takes a while to cook. (I think some of the items are made to order.)The ambiance is okay with Indian music playing. I see that a variety of people go there as well. The service could be better but they try...sometimes you have to ask for something multiple times as some of the staff seem to get confused. Also, I have gone to the bar myself on more than one occasion to get drinks for the table. However, the bartender is great and has an awesome personality, so it is not terrible to go and see him. I have lived in Wilmington, MA for almost 4 years now and have been searching for authentic Indian cuisine. This place opened up a month ago and this was my first time trying it. I have to say I was very pleased with the food! We got a bunch items to try and my favorites were the Karahi, and dal but everything was delicious! Not pictured was some naan, yogurt sauce and basmati rice. This will definitely be a regular spot for me. I love their Indian food! The Goa shrimp curry is to die for if you like seafood, samosas are nice and crispy, chutney on point and the lassi is deliciousOverall, I have to say the service is great - much better than other Indian joints by far - and the food really lives up to the flavor:) I know they are a bit more northern Indian oriented but I would love to see dosas at some point and other southern specialties. Decided to try this place in Salem, N.H. Wasn't disappointed. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Started with vegetable Samosa appetizer. Very filled with peas, potatoes, aromatics and freshly made. Moved on to my fav, Chicken Korma. Creamy, mild ( requested it this way) so flavorful and good, chicken tender and moist, the basmati rice had a touch of what I believe is clove. Not at all overpowering but just enough.. my new fav rice! No Indian meal would be complete imo without fresh baked Naan. We chose garlic naan and it was some of the best I've had. Nothing like having fresh naan to dunk into ones Korma sauce! All in all, we will be going back here. The food is very good! read more

Service here is non-existent, never coming back. Friday evening (5:30pm, before the dinner rush) we came in with a group of 6 to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were promptly seated, placed our orders, and waited for the food to arrive. 10 minutes pass. 20 minutes pass. 30 minutes pass. Other patrons have come in after us, eaten their meals and left already, and we are still... sitting and waiting. No one has come by to say our food will be right out, and no one has even come by to refill our water. We are seated in the center of the room, being completely ignored. Finally, 40 minutes later, we get the attention of the person who took our order. He doesn't offer any kind of apology, only tells us that they've had a lot of take out orders, and... walks away. We get the attention of another employee, again ask where our food is and what the problem is, and he finally says it'll be right out, just five more minutes. The food finally arrives, but a mango lassi we had ordered is nowhere to be seen. We still haven't been offered any more water, so we grabbed a pitcher ourselves. The drink is still missing, so we go up to the bar to track it down. We are again told how they've been busy with take out orders, and finally get the missing drink. We were charged full price for our meal, and never received so much as an apology. read more

It's too costly plus the staff is very rude. We were rudely shooed away from the door due to covid. How is one suppose to pick up the ordered food? The food itself is not great. Aloo tikka was inedible while the veg Samosa and jeera rice were stale. The roti was uncooked and chewy. Shahi Paneer korma was just about fine in flavor but lacked spice level as instructed. Terrible. How does this place have this many stars? Perhaps it's because there are no other indian restaurants nearby? We waited 7-10 minutes before flagging someone for menus after we were sat. No one came by after for another 10 minutes. We were ready to cut our losses and just leave. Someone finally came over and asked "are you ready yet". I can't make this up. Would you like to start with a drink? Welcome, is this your first time dining with us? How are you? Yeah...don't expect any of those things. Food was a solid 5/10. Oily and salty. I've been to Kashmir a handful of times now, and every time the food has been excellent. Sure, the building and decor are a bit dated, but don't let that deceive you on the food quality and preparation. Their naan is delicious and pairs extremely well with many of their dishes. Wow so good! From the outside, it looks a little sketchy. I think this restaurant would bring in 150% more people with a new outside area. But it didn't stop us, and thank goodness. Our food was excellent! Many choices (including vegetarian) and you can order your food in three different spice levels: mild, medium, and hot. You can also order ahead and pick up. The building is easy to drive by and is unassuming from the outside. Clean and well decorated on the inside. The staff is friendly and was very helpful with our questions on menu items. They bring out a really pretty food warmer which is great for people like me who takes forever to eat (because I talk too much). The naan was a bit dry but nothing terrible. I unfortunately made the mistake of asking whether I should go for the cheese naan or the basil garlic naan. Apparently the table next to us ordered the basil garlic naan and thought it was too much garlic. The waiter could've just told me he liked the garlic naan and leave it at that, but instead he told us that the other table had issues with it. So I went for Indian and the first thing before our server handed us our menu I ordered naan. Garlic naan with cilantro: I didn't like it at all it was filled with so much cilantro that I couldn't taste the garlic nor the bread and got some stuck on my teeth!! Cheese naan: stuffed with minced Indian cottage cheese and onion. This was so good and flavorful Lamb beryani: basmati rice, cooked with lamb, toasted cashews, raisins, lavish spices, a small hint of cardamom and it came with a side of yogurt which I just pour all over the beryani and it was all over from there I enjoyed every bite!! ! I needed to go to The Mall at Rockingham Park but didn't want to eat there, and found Kashmir on yelp! It couldn't be at a better location, as it is less than 5 mins away from the mall, and is actually on the way there, so there is no need for a detour! The place definitely looks old and worn out, but the number of people already seated gave me assurance about the food. When we were seated, we were asked if we wanted to order from the menu or eat from the buffet. It was a little tough to decide at first as there was no information about the buffet, we didn't know how much it cost, or what it included. After taking a look at the selection and finding out that the buffet costs $11.99 per person (I think), we decided to take a chance on the buffet. The taste of the buffet food was actually pretty good. But we didn't know what we were eating most of the time as there were no labels at the buffet table! I recognized a couple of common dishes such as tandoori chicken, saag paneer, naan, but the rest was a mystery. We are pretty adventurous eaters so we just tried to figure it out, but I can see this being a problem for people who have allergies. The service, besides the lack of information, was okay. The waiter refilled our waters, so that was good. However, I couldn't find noticing that there were some areas of the restaurant that didn't seem that clean. For example, I saw a couple of stains in the basket that holds new cutlery. The female bathroom was also not in the best condition, the cover of the toilet bowl water tank was broken and they did not bother to replace it.
