First time to come, had a very bad experience with my pedicure. The people are sweet but I had a person who it seems like her first or second time doing nails. I had to ask her to cut my nails and keep them square but it was a struggle for her. Then two different employees came try to fix it and remedy the situation. Not the place for me but they are all very polite. Black streaks is showing on my nails because they don't fill the brush. Even the top coat is was poorly done. My toes is not shiny. Kasa Nails sucks! My regular nail person at another salon is on vacation so I was advised to call Kasa nails. I called and they quoted me a price but when I got there, the woman who did my nails was a pig. She was rude, put my feet first in ice cold water, then when I said it was freezing, she turned on the hottest water which scalded my feet. As I sit here right now, my feet continue to burn. I will be reporting them to the BBB and the cosmetology board as they need to treat customers properly. BEWARE of Kasa Nails. read more

I have had one really good pedicure and four not so good pedicures, the staff is not all trained by the same person which is why the pedicures vary so much, one woman was on her phone the whole time she was doing the scrub and I had to ask her to get off the phone so she would pay attention, another woman put hardly any pressure on my legs when she was massaging and the massage only lasted about one minute per leg, even though it's inexpensive here it's not worth it. read more

2.5 stars. I've been going to this nail salon for over two years. I haven't had a pedi in almost a year and was excited to have one. There was no foot or leg massage. Some oil and lotion. I ask to leave a little nail because I'll be wearing sandals and my toe nails were cut off! The tech did a good job with the polish but seemed to just not want to be there. No customer service, hello or thank you. They asked that I pay the $70 charge with cash and when I wanted to pay with visa she said "you have no cash?" I left a 25% cash tip. read more

I have lived in this area my entire life and gone to SEVERAL different nail salons. After years of searching I met Helen, who introduced me to the new dip method. I am someone who has always bitten/picked at my nails, broken my nails or my nail polish would peel, I could never hold a manicure past 1-2 weeks. Ever since I have been seeing Helen, I have never had problems with broken nails, peeling etc.. They last me 3 weeks minimum. She does a great quality job. Her and her team are hard working and kind. They are the best. They take great care to making sure the nail polish is neat and to the end of the cuticle. They give the best massages too. I love when they use hot rocks on my feet and legs. With so many nail options, really the only reason to go to this place is if you are on a really really tight budget. I got a meh gel manicure and a meh regular pedicure for $45 plus tip. The gel started coming off with a day or two as I was on vacation and the toes chipped so I needed to cut my nail down to even it out. We made an "appointment" but really it made no difference and it took over 2 hours for the three of us to get in and out. They are understaffed and they did not really accommodate the people in there well. The last detail I have is that I wanted a little, very simple flower on my big toe nails for my beach vacation. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE YELP PICTURES OF NAIL DESIGNS AND ART. THey have a whole display in the front on their designs and stuff but those are super intricate. Mine was found on google and I took a screen shot to be able to show the woman. It was one of those flowers with a few strokes of the brush, nothing really detailed. She started doing it and got really flustered so she stopped and said she couldn't do it. She didn't ask another lady to come help, so I just said "just take it off" She then dabbed off the flower and painted another coat. I am pretty sure they started to chip because she didn't take all the polish off and just covered that one spot with thicker polish. Poorly handled and just not worth it for me. Okay I must admit, I love getting my feet and hands done at this place! I'm a guy but coming here they treat you like everybody else. The staff is very friendly and the price is great. I had a corn on both my feet and also an ingrown toe and the lady who did it was very thorough with the process and now I can walk without any pain with my boots on. I really recommend this place! I have been going to Kasa Nails since their very beginning. I truly will not go anywhere else and I can only highly recommend them to anyone looking for superior nail service in the San Ramon Valley. They are tucked behind a gas station and adjacent to the 7-11, but once you find them I feel confident other Yelp users will agree - they are the very BEST. Suzi, Diane and their team are always professional and the salon is beautifully decorated with new massage chairs and a pleasant and soft decor. The salon is immaculate and the bowls for pedicures are clean and sterilized promptly after each use. The foot and leg massage is heavenly and they NEVER skimp on time or effort. As a customer, I feel like they truly want to pamper me and make sure I leave them feeling relaxed and pleased with any services they have provided. I get numerous compliments on my nails and have tried all - gel, acrylic, shellac, manicure. Never disappointed. My nails, regardless of what service I have completed, last longer than other below par salons I have tried in the past. They have made any appointment time I have requested,and I mean any - after a bad day and a call at 6:30pm, the response was "Come on in!" and if I chance to just walk in, they greet me with a smile and a cup of warm tea if I need to wait. I'm super picky & Helen is very accommodating, skilled & patient. I only had to show her once what I like and she has consistently done a great job ever since. The salon is comfortable & adequate, walk-ins are welcome, but I strongly suggest making an appointment. They quoted me a really low price for a basic mani/pedi (almost half of what I was quoted at other places in Alamo/Danville/San Ramon), and then I started getting the full spa mani/pedi treatment (massage, hot stone, etc.). I was worried when I went to pay I'd be getting up-charged for all the extra special treatment, but it all came with the basic mani/pedi at that low price. They were awesome, gentle and my nails looked great (it's been about a week, and they still look pretty good). Lots of colors to choose from. There was a bit of a wait, but I was a walk-in, so the 10 minutes wait seemed reasonable for a Saturday morning. They ask that you tip in cash. Usually I don't carry cash with me, so that would be good to know in advance. I probably would have tipped more if I had more cash on me. read more

I had some time to kill in Alamo the other day, so I decided to check out the spa. I had an annoying cracked nail on my thumb that would not heal, so I thought maybe a manicure would help. It did! But beyond that, the ladies talked me into a pedicure. Wow, what a great, relaxing experience. Diane not only took an hour, but performed what we called a "medical" pedicure. I went to this little salon tucked behind Rotten Robbie today and I will not go anywhere else from now on. I was a walk in and waited a short 5 minutes for a fill. The technician was gentle, and efficient and the results are fantastic. The fill was less expensive than I had been paying at Alamo Nails and it was SUCH a better experience and my nails looked much better than they ever did when I had them done there. Since new owners it's been hit and miss for me here. Had two great pedis last fall. Had a great pedi/shellac mani a couple of months ago but a few weeks ago, with an appointment, it took them over 3 hours for a pedi and shellac mani (with a 30 min wait). That's crazy. They continued to take walk ins after they started me (and there were already three clients with only three people working to begin with). So, it took forever. Worse nail experience ever! Had gels put on and Diane did not smooth down the edges, so they were catching on everything and I had to return the same day -- which disrupted my work. The gel on the nails was also not smoothed down and placed way above the cuticle so it looked like a week's old manicure. They overbook and provide substandard service to increase their income. LOVE this shop! I'm pretty low maintenance with most things, but not my mani/pedis -- those matter!! All three gals who have done my nails for years now -- Helen, Lily, and Lina -- do a super job. They're kind, attentive to small detail, accommodating, and highly competent. I'm not happy to be writing this review... Overall the salon is clean, employees very friendly, and they have a good selection of polish, gel polish, and nail art. The first time I went I got a full set of acrylics. They looked great and lasted for over 4 weeks with no lifting or breaking (I was out of town and had no time to get a fill). When I finally had time to get mine redone I came back and got a fill. I was very happy with the result, but the next day one broke when I was just scratching my head! I hadn't even done anything that day. Luckily, they repaired it for free the day after. Then along my drive home (once again not doing anything, just steering the car) ANOTHER NAIL BROKE OFF. My gel polish has chipped off after ~5 days with regular activity, nail is still broken. I want to leave 4 stars and maybe this is a fluke manicure but the difference in the first set I got vs this is an incredible dip in quality making me doubt if I will return. read more

I was a little hesitant at first with Kasa Nails being in a rundown shopping center but this is Alamo and Alamo has a few of these. Kasa Nails is a nicely run shop, nothing fancy but good people. The past 3 times I've been there I've had a pleasant experience. A gel manicure and spa pedicure was only $45 dollars which in the Bay Area, that is a steal. Pleasantly surprised at the complimentary hot stone massage for the pedicure. read more

I hate to be that one bitter person to leave a bad review, but I really must admit that the treatment I received here was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a go after seeing so many positive reviews, but after one awful visit here, I will never go back. I called the day before I wanted to come in and booked a mani-pedi appointment for a Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm, thinking it would be an ideal, slow time to get pampered. I arrived 10 minutes early to find all six pedicure stations and a manicure station occupied with only two nail technicians working. That should have been a warning sign, but I was in a good mood and waited for a chair to become available. Even though I had booked an appointment earlier and even arrived early, I wasn't put into a pedicure chair until 2:20 (30 minutes after arriving), and my pedicure didn't even start until 2:30. At that point, I looked over to the one woman who was STILL waiting for her manicure to start, and after seeing a look of utter disappointment, I knew that this was not going to be the relaxing afternoon of pampering I had planned. Because of the serious understaffing problem, I felt that my service was rushed and unproductive. Never have I felt that a nail salon was unsanitary, but the technicians were so impatient and panicked that my foot tub and the technician's tools were given one quick rub with a cloth and a splash of water before being used on the next customer. After seeing that, I became paranoid that I would contract some deadly fungus, but fortunately, I didn't. The selection of nail polish colors is extremely limited and very disorganized, and my technician sighed and gave me a dirty look when I gave her two polishes for my toes (one color and one glittery top coat). On top of that, the technician grated down on my feet with a pumice stone so hard that I started bleeding! I told her that she was pressing too hard. Her response? She rolled her eyes, looked up at me, and said, "Oh, you're too sensitive". Ugh. Sorry I'm not a masochist. The only reason why this salon gets one star is because of the French manicure. Even though it took forever, the lines were a little jagged, and there were bubbles in the white tips, the shape looked very nice. It's still not enough to bring me back, though. If you've read my other reviews, you know how much of a focus I put on customer service. I'm sorry to report that no such thing exists at Kasa Nails. While I was getting the cold shoulder/negligence for half an hour before my appointment started, I watched the technicians interact with women who appeared to be regulars. One woman, who was carrying a beautiful Louis Vuitton bag, pulled out her wallet at the completion of her service, which prompted her technician to loudly yell, "Give me all your money!". In her favor, the technician was probably just joking, but the customer (and the other customers around her) were rightly taken aback by this abrasive comment. No apology was made, and after a sustained pause, everyone went back to their own little bubbles, but this sent me into a mental rage. Like I said, I hate to leave a bad review, but I feel it is my duty to warn other women about the awful service I received here. I continue my quest to find a go-to nail salon, but I know for sure I will never be back at Kasa Nails. read more

I've never written a review before. But I feel like this one is necessary. I stopped in and there wasn't a single person in the shop so I figured why not? I got acrylics with shellac and a shellac pedicure. Then woman doing my nails didn't do a wonderful job, my nails are uneven and one of them within an hour of leaving there had broken! One of my other nails is about to break as well.. As for my pedicure, I started in the pedicure chair, then two more women walked in, and I was told to sit at the nail station. They finished my finger nails and then the other woman ( I have no idea who they are name wise) actually crawled under the table to paint my toes! Once she finished that she put me back in the pedicure chair, gave a quick massage and then I was done. I've been to quite a few nail salons. And never have I ever felt so uncomfortable and unhappy with my nails. They were rushing to finish my nails once the other women came in, so it was just kind of ridiculous. I had been going here for a few years. The last time I came, it was not a good experience. I thought it may have been the new girl. Rough pedicure... snipped me in a couple of places that shouldn't have been snipped. Then she did my eyebrows... again a little too rough. The communication was not good. I was trying to tell her how I liked them done.... she just kept repeating herself and I couldn't understand what she was telling me. Stayed away for a few months. I was in the neighborhood and thought I would give it one more try. I arrived, then two other women arrived after me. We all said we were here for pedicures. I was told 15 minutes. They took the other two women first.... which was fine because the two chairs that were available were next to each other... and I didn't mind waiting 15 minutes. They called me right after them put me in a chair that already had water in the foot spa. Girl left.... never turned on the spa.... water was like warm at best. Pulled my feet out and waited 30 minutes before anyone came back around to figure out that possibly something wasn't quite right. Helen passed by without a word,turned on the hot water and the spa. I was never asked if something was wrong or any words of apology. They are just too busy to care anymore. read more
