I scheduled a Mini Detail for my car which has no spills in it or major messes. When I arrived for the appointment the manager said let me take a look at your car to see if a mini detail is possible. He went out for 5m and came back in to say it wasn't possible as a mini detail was for vehicles that were cleaned often, about twice a month on average. Really? This car is not very dirty, the reasons he gave were that he saw crumbs in the door jamb. I could vacuum the car in 15m and fix that problem. Then said he would only clean the vehicle for the most expensive package which was nearly twice the price. The car is not very dirty, I just wanted to get it cleaned a bit to post it for sale. When I pushed back on this he said hey if you don't want to do this you could choose to take you car somewhere else. No hesitation, cool, I'm out. What a waste of time. Won't be going back there. I have had my cars detailed at several different places and I have never had a problem like this. read more

After my last couple visits for a hand wash I have to change my rating. Their quality of work seems to have decreased quite a bit. I brought my car in for a wash yesterday and didn't get a chance to do a quick walkaround before leaving, due to a bit of a time crunch. I did not let Karmichaels know I had any sort of time crunch as I didn't want them to rush the wash. After heading back home and having a bit of time to spare, I noticed a bunch of missed spots that looked like they hadn't been touched. The whole passenger side door jamb and sideskirt was still dirty, whole sections of the front and rear bumper were still dirty and my wheels still had dirt on them and a thick layer of tire shine overspray all over them, which was also flung all over the side of my car after having driven around a bit. I used a bottle of waterless wash that I use for quick clean ups and had to spend another 30 min to clean up all the missed areas, overspray and tire shine slung down the side of my car. Original review below: I've been here twice for a hand car wash and they have done a good job each time. I like that they also clean the door jambs and dress the tires as part of the wash. There price is great too compared to some of the inflated prices at other places in the area. Just be careful when booking online as seems sometime they don't see the online appointments and might double book. Let's start with what I liked. I booked an Interior Detail & Hand Wash. Online booking made it easy to find a day and time that worked. I received a confirmation that placed all the important details into my calendar. And, most importantly, when the work was done, the car ended up looking and smelling so much better than before, though you could see all the wipe marks on the inside of the windshield. Now the not so great. When I arrived, they told me my mid-size SUV would cost $50 more than the online booking system quoted me. They also told me it was going to take two hours longer than the calendar appointment it gave me, which forced me to rearrange my afternoon. Overall, if they can eliminate these surprises, I would recommend them to most people. For now, don't rely solely on their online system for all the right details. read more

Two weeks waiting for a premium detail and they cancel the morning of the service. Unprofessional is an understatement

VERY disappointed in my experience with Karmichaels. I have an older car that I decided to treat to an interior shampoo cleaning - carpets, floor mats and seats. I dropped it off in late morning and was promised it by 4:00. Well, it was indeed ready by 4, but everthing was still soaking wet (I had to change my pants after I drove home). They blamed it on the rainy weather and told me to park it in the garage with the windows open overnight and it would be fine. I did as they suggested, but the next day was just as wet as before. To make matters worse, there was a terrible odor as well. I was busy that day, so I brought it back the next day. Now two days after the cleaning, the carpets and floor mats were still very wet and the odor was just as bad. I literally couldn't drive it with the windows up. They did some cursory cleaning with another spray, which just got everything even wetter. To add insult to injury, I also noticed evidence of overspray from their initial cleaning all over the vinyl and glass surfaces. Windows, mirrors, dashboard, steering wheel - everything was covered with dried white splotches. These were only partially cleaned up after the 2nd visit. The customer service was equally poor as their workmanship. Not once did I get an appology for the poor cleaning, the overspray, the odor, nothing. I had to wait more than 30 minutes the 2nd time I returned because both the owner and the manager were out running errands and the young fellow at the desk told me "Look, I just detail cars". How about calling your boss then?? Anyway, it took 4 more days before the floor mats were finally dry and I had to finish cleaning up the overspray myself. I can't imagine this is the normal level of quality from this business, since they've been around for quite some time, but they won't be seeing me or any car of mine ever again. read more

This detail shop was recommended by the Mazda dealership in Everett. Two weeks after I bought a brand new Mazda 5 it somehow got road striping paint overspray over the entire front end of the car. It was all through the plastic honeycomb parts of the grill. From the bumper to the sunroof. It was in every nook and cranny possible, a fine white and yellow spray (thanks WSDOT!) These guys worked with my insurance, got me in the next day (I used the night key drop so that I wouldn't have to find a ride home in the morning) and finished it in one day. My car looks like it just rolled off the dealer's lot again. They warned me there might be a few small spots on the textured plastic of the grill but you would have to get a microscope out to find any. I didn't think there was any way my car could be restored but these guys really did a fantastic job. read more

Nope. Took my car in, checked in, sat down. Some lady comes in after me, checks in, same appointment time, and they take her car and leave mine in the lot until 15 minutes after my appointment time. Already annoyed. I got the $30 hand car wash. They did a worse job than the $6 automated wash I usually go to. I only came here because there was some stubborn dirt on the top of my car, and I wanted to ensure it was gone. But the dirt is still there. And they really phoned it in drying my car off. By the time I drove home, I had water streaks all along the sides of the car from places they didn't dry. Won't be back. read more

Hi Guys want to let you know I had a very bad experience in Karmichael Auto Salon I called them and talked with a guy that water come in the car and my rear seat carpets and the foam pading underneth is full of water need to suck the water from foam pading and dry it, he said "oh yes no problem I will shampoo the carpet and will drain out the water and dry it for three hours and charge you $93 " my carpet don't need to shampoo it was already clean but still I went there to let them do their job my main target was they will dry the carpet, my son went their and picked up the car and when the other day I checked the rear seats carpet pading was full of water as it was before even they didn't remove the paper towels which I put it there to absorb the water. Had my BMW cleaned last week and should have checked the work before tipping so much. Dirt was left around both license plates, the roundel, and both bumpers. I did get compliments on the wheels and tires, though, and I like the online scheduling option. Took my car there for the first time for the "Manager's Special" cleaning. First off, they did a good job cleaning what was, admittedly, a very dirty car. However, there were a number of things that left a sour taste about the establishment considering the price paid. I was charged an extra 50% or so of the listed price because the car was dirtier than most, which isn't totally unreasonable. I paid the extra amount, but the problem is they only told me I'd be charged extra *after* the service was complete. If they had mentioned this before hand or called to let me know while it was happening, I probably wouldn't have given it another thought, but only mentioning it once the bill came seemed a bit sketchy. In addition, there were 20 or so small drops of sap on the hood of the car. They were extremely easy to remove, I did it myself with a fingernail and cloth in just a few minutes once I returned home. However, when I mentioned them while I was at Karmichael's, they told me it was a separate package to clean that sort of thing. Honestly, it was a tiny amount of work that would have taken a couple minutes at most, and it seemed like they intentionally left them on in order to attempt to sell me an additional package. Other than the service itself, I found myself waiting for about 10 minutes in an empty office with nobody at the front desk when I came to pay. Had to get one of the workers to go track down the front desk guy, really should have had someone cover or left a note at least if there was going to be nobody at the desk for that long. Lastly, I noticed when driving home, that my rear-view mirror was positioned at a wildly different angle after being cleaned, which gave no visibility out the back window - slightly dangerous potentially. All in all, while the cleaning itself was good, the entire experience struck me as somewhat unprofessional and like I was being taken advantage of with all these attempts at additional charges. read more

If you have a high-end car or really care about your car's finish, then you should not take your car to these guys. I took my brand new car there for its first car wash thinking they would do a high-quality job...in fact, that's what it used to say on their web site, but seems that they have since pulled it, "We pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality auto detailing experience with the utmost attention to detail." The car came back with long straight scratches all over. It looked like they were using sand paper in some spots. Their rags must have been dirty, or they have people that just don't know or don't care what they are doing. I took the car back to show it to them, and had to listen to several rounds of, "well, it can't be our fault, it must be someone else's fault." With a brand new car and its first car wash, there was no one else to blame it on. The guy refused to give me my money back, and it was only after another customer walked in and overheard our discussion that he finally agreed to give me back most of my money. I ended up spending most of my weekend going over the car twice with a fine cut cleaner, but that was not sufficient. I'm going to have to go over it again with a medium cut cleaner hoping that will do the job. When you take your car in for a $40 car wash, you expect a high-quality job, and not to have to waste two weekends fixing the damage that some careless people cause. read more

can't give them a 5 yet.. why? well, they have not left a dent in my heart yet... dropped in on monday morning to get a platinum detail done (it's the shebang detail of all mothers...). they have a special $50 coupon online for this month. detail work: removed the swirls and scratches on my black paint. have some overspray that they missed when i came to check-up on them (90% done). they also missed nails scratches on the handles. took that in and got them done. not 100% gone but definitely MUCH better than when it came in. interior was rather clean so they have an easier job here. trunk carpet was not cleaned properly because it's black. they said that interior/exterior looked fine when inside shop but when under the sun, everything was revealed. came back the next day, as platinum detail took the whole day (5-7 hours), as they missed the crack on the side under the rear seat. they cleaned that, and the crack between the seat-cushion and seat-back. they could've done a much better job with the platinum detail. i'm a picky mother-father and i pick on small little things. especially after i spend my $$.... they also could do with MUCH BRIGHTER SHOP. invest more in lights so that they can see in the shop. one good thing was that the car smells nice after the job but the exterior look like crap now because of the pollen... it's not even 24 hours... +( read more

Can see the detail work being done through the waiting area window. (6 month old BMW M4...I'd trust them with anything). Had no appointment, so needed to book for 2 hours later - no problem (they were busy - good sign) - and came back later. Waited in the very clean waiting area while the work was done. Snacks/drinks there (in machines) for purchase, TV for some light entertainment. No WIFI. As the onsite manager said, "this is their livelihood, not a hobby" (or words to that effect), and it shows. I first time called them when I needed to clean my passenger van after client vomited in it. They took me in at a short notice and cleaned it like nothing ever happened. Van looked even better than before. I then started taking my business and personal cars there. In all they cleaned four of my business cars and one personal. So, five total cleanings. Every cleaning was done perfectly well. Recently, we hit a bump when one of the guys broke a passenger seat (recliner was damaged and had to be replaced). That cost me a bit of money. However, the owner offered a gift certificate to compensate for the damage and won my loyalty for life. Mistakes happen but I like when they are being addressed and corrected. This business knows that and I appreciate it very much. I highly recommend them for personal or commercial cars as the quality of the job is just great. I don't know how this place has any bad reviews. I got my car detailed here and my backseats shampooed because my dog peed on them. I took my car here because it was the closet auto salon to my house and had the best reviews on yelp. They took about an hour and a half to shampoo my seats and detail my car. They did an incredible job. I also had yellow paint on the front of my car and they took less than 20 minutes to get it all out and didn't even charge me. Everybody here is so nice and they work very quickly. I am from California and haven't been able to find a good car wash place either and from now on I will bring my car here. The managers special is around $40 and it is worth every penny. I am incredibly grateful that I found this place. If you ever need a wash, detail or paint removed come see these guys!! I don't typically post reviews online, but the owner's customer service was so bad that I had to share it with others. I recently had my 2008 Toyota Highlander detailed at Karmichael Auto Salon in Factoria.  Immediately after leaving, my volume control knob fell off. Prior to having the car detailed, it worked just fine. Ryan, the shop manager was understanding though it's worth noting that Karmichael's didn't believe that this was their responsibility - explaining that sometimes these things can happen, particularly on used cars.  Eventually I spoke with the owner to find out if he would be willing to cover the $330 repair cost or help in any way.The owner's treatment of me over the phone was extremely unprofessional and upsetting. I have never been spoken to with such disrespect by a business owner.  He belittled me, didn't take my issue seriously and yelled at me. He made me feel like I was the one at fault for even bringing up my issue! The owner told me that he would pay $100 towards the $330 repair under the condition that I would never go back to his business again. He said that it's 'people like me' that put companies out of business. He asserted that I was just trying to take advantage of them. He said that I had to go back to the shop to get my $100 check - that he wouldn't just leave it for me, and that he wanted to give it to me personally and take a picture of it as proof. And he said a lot of other things that I won't bother to include in this post. He never even apologized that this happened to me. Frankly, it was no longer about the money. Bottom line, even if they couldn't cover the full repair cost, a little kindness would have gone a long way. As such, I won't accept their $100, they can keep it, and I'll keep my self respect. read more

I was watching my friends dog and she peed on my "waterproof" seat cover. Unfortunately it seeped onto the seat of my new car. I tried to blot it up but a residual spot stayed and of course, there was the smell. Unsure how to treat suede seats and it being the evening, several detail shops were closed or closing and several others were booked until July, two months out! The next day I called a few more places and got in touch with Karmichael Auto Salon in Bellevue. I was greeted by Lisa who was so kind and understanding, she said, "Let me put you on hold for one second". She comes back and says, "can you come-in right now?" I dropped everything and headed over. She spoke with Jeremy who although they were completely booked, was kind enough to get me into the salon. Antonio did an amazing job, you can't even tell anything happened and there aren't any residual smells. People think it still has the new car smell. So grateful for them, fitting me in on such short notice and doing an outstanding job. The backseat of my 2017 (relatively NEW) Nissan was RUINED by a poorly packed grocery bag (thanks WalMart!!!). Fabric softener spilled out of the container all over the backseat and a little on the floor. The container was almost empty! I brought it to (Ryan?) at Bellevue Karmichael. I've been there before with 100% satisfaction. Wow! Did I make the right choice!? I begged him to do anything and everything he could to fix my backseat no matter the cost plus, a regular detail of the whole interior. He couldn't get it cleaned by just shampooing the seat so, he popped it out and pressure washed it!!!! It took hours before the water finally dripped out clear instead of blue. He then put industrial sized fans on the backseat to dry it. Then, he only charged me for the regular internal detail fee! What!? I told him, "No matter the cost" and he did it all for regular price. I mean, who does that? Well, I'll tell you: Karmichael in Bellevue. That's who! I'm telling you, top man he is, TOP MAN! Integrity. High work ethic. Great customer service. I had recently came in to Karmichael to get an exterior detail for my 2020 Ford Explorer because a week or two ago google maps had taken me off the highway for a detour. Not knowing the area well I ended up on a forest service road that was unkept with branches/bushes that scratched up my whole car. The scratches were mostly minor on the body, but also had messed up some plastic exterior on my vehicle that I had been told were almost impossible to get out. I took it to Karmichael and they said they could buff out the scratches and gave me an estimate that was way cheaper than the other auto body/detail shops in the area. I dropped it off in the morning and had it back in the late afternoon. I was blown away, it looked just like new! They even did an interior detail with no extra charge. I visited Karmichael Auto Salon this past Saturday for an Express Detail, which includes the following: * Hand Wash & Dry Exterior * Apply Wax (may require polishing to remove scratches or oxidation) * Wipe Clean All Door and Trunk Jambs * Vacuum Interior & Trunk * Clean Interior & Exterior Windows * Clean & Dress Tires and Wheels Pros: - Reasonable price. It was just over $100 after tax - Saturday hours! It was very hard to find an auto salon open on Saturday - I was able to book an appointment online - The outside of my car looks fantastic! I don't think the color has looked this good since I bought it 6 years ago - The appointment took about as long as they said it would, so I didn't have to wait much - The gentleman at the front desk checked my car once they were done, and noticed a spot on the window that he had the kid fix up before I had to pay for anything. I appreciated that extra once-over Cons: - I couldn't get an appointment for the service that I really wanted, which was the Premium Detail. It seems like they are booked out quite far, or just don't have the staff for it - The interior cleaning left MUCH to be desired. There was still dust on my dashboard and around my steering wheel, and it didn't appear they did any sort of cleaning around the shifter. There were spots of some kind of gunk on the interior of all four doors. It seemed like it was some kind of wax. No idea how I'm going to remove that... - The service said they would only vacuum the inside, but for some reason, my seats were damp. That's great if they shampooed them, but then why weren't they dry?? - The exterior of my windows were cleaned very well, but the interior sides were not. I had to go over all of my glass again with Windex - I asked them if they would call me to let me know when my car was done, but they said they don't do that, and I should just come back in an hour. Luckily, my car was done in about 1.25hrs, but the option to receive a call would have been nice. They have a phone... Overall impression: I would recommend them for exterior detailing, but I'm not sure about interior cleaning services. I think I'll give them one more try before I officially decide whether or not I'll continue visiting them. read more

I got the premium detail for my 08 Silverado. The inside was pretty dirty and there were several stains on the headliner. Karmichaels did a very good job. All of the stains came out and the exterior/engine compartment looked great as well. I'd definitely go back. read more

The service I have had with Karmichael's has been exceptional. Ryan, the Factoria manager, has gone above and beyond to fit me in for a wash, and accomodate me in every way possible. The quality of work has been well beyond what the price point is and the service is impeccable. I bring my car in generally every weekend to be washed and the staff does an incredible job. I have had other professional detailers buff, polish, etc for a significant amount more (north of 400.00) and the results havent been of the same caliber. I have a dark car, and am very particular about the finished product and not even once have I been disappointed. I cannot recommend this shop enough, and will be bringing all our company cars here going forward. Thank you, job well done guys! read more

KARMICHAEL AUTO SALON CRACKED MY WINDSHIELD ... REFUSED TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGE. I took my car to Karmichael Auto Salon in Factoria to have a Manager's Special cleaning. After waiting about an hour, I thought my car was ready and went to go pay for the services. That is when the employee working at the front desk told me that, "there was a little bit of a problem". He then walked me to my car and pointed out a large crack on the front windshield. I have included a photograph taken approximately 10 minutes later of the damage, while the car was still in the Karmichael establishment. Unfortunately the manager, Ryan Weinstein, had left for the day. I talked to Mr. Weinstein on the phone shortly after the incident, and then again in person the following day. The employee who had caused the damage claimed that the windshield cracked while he was attempting to wipe the interior windows and was "lightly" pressing up on the windshield. I talked to the same employee again the following day and he said that his hand had got caught on the steering wheel, causing him to slap the interior windshield in an upward motion. They said this might have been caused because the car had been sitting outside in the direct sun for the majority of the hour it was being cleaned, and when they had brought the car inside the rapid change in temperature caused it to crack. After speaking at length to Mr. Weinstein on two occasions, he made it clear I would receive some sort of compensation for the damage caused, but that he could not resolve the issue himself without speaking to the owner of Karmichael Auto Salon, Mark McCalmon. The following week I received a voice message from Mark McCalmon saying they can't be liable as there were rock chips in the windshield. I got the professional opinions of three different windshield repair companies, including the company which Karmichael Auto Salon had referred me to. The owner of the company, who has 40 years in the auto-glass business, told me immediately upon examining the damaged windshield that the crack was caused by a high-impact; that something had definitely hit the windshield very hard. He said this was definitely not a rock chip or temperature caused crack--which is what Karmichael's had claimed. There was no doubt in his mind about this. I presented the information provided as a result of the professional assessments done to the cause and type of damage to Karmichael Auto Salon. They continued to deny any responsibility for the cracked windshield. After having the windshield repaired, I presented a copy of the bill to the owner of Karmichael Auto Salon. He refused to pay, take any responsibility or offer any cooperation in matter. While there was never any denial that the windshield crack occurred while my vehicle was in the care and custody of Karmichael Auto Salon, I was forced to pursue legal as a result of the extraordinary negligence, unprofessionalism and lack accountability that I was shown. NOTE: I had been a loyal customer of Karmichael Auto Salon for several years prior to this incident. I have not gone back since. read more
