Stopped by for some Mexican bread - and ended up with mole tamales. What a nice surprise - they were fresh and yummy!

The Tamales were good as well as the sopa but they really need to scrub down the cold case and the sitting area . Not so clean.

I got the prosciutto, fig and jam puff pastry. So yummy and the crunch on the layers were definitely on point. I also grabbed me a chocolate chip cookie which is huge and probably the same size as my face. And of course my sweet tooth wouldn't let me walk away from the register without grabbing a brownie. Took my girlfriends here for some pregame breakfast bites before one of our tournaments and they loved everything they got. So many things to choose from, you'll probably leave with a box. But trust me when I say, I don't think you can wrong here. Clearly it's a popular go to spot you gotta come check them out early!

Strawberry maritozzi: Of all of the pastries this was actually my last favorite. I felt like the bread was a bit dry and flavorless. The cream was good however and not too sweet like your typical American dessert. I think if they could some how use a different type of bun that isn't as dry, this would be amazing. 2. Caprese Sandwich (wrap): This was incredible. I really liked this sandwich. It was so flavorful and the balance of the pesto and chicken was amazing. Highly recommend. Very large and filling too. 3. Mushroom focaccia: Loved this! Focaccia was fluffy and a very generous amount of mushrooms on top. 4. Passion Fruit pasty: I LOVED this! It reminds me of being in hawaii again and reminded me of the malasalas there however in a pastry dough form. 5. Chocolate pistachio croissant: High quality pasty very fluffy and light with huge amount of chocolate. Overall, I felt like the savory items were incredible and overshadowed the sweet items. The sweet were still good though. Everything was high quality and fairly priced. Only item that I wouldn't get again is the Maritozzi.

Seriously, you might think pie is pie, but no, there's pie, and then there's pie from Petaluma Pie Company. Friendly employee and clean area outside the shop is well. So that's good. My only complaint is the eco-friendly fork they provide is absolutely awful. Not sure if it's a Petaluma requirement but real plastic forks would be much appreciated. Regardless, this place is a must-try!

I Spy With My Little Pie…read more This farm-to-table, locally-owned pie shop has been serving up both sweet and savory pie creations in Downtown Petaluma since 2010. They recently underwent an ownership change in 2024 from the OGs, but fortunately, instead of selling to a corporation, they sold it to an employee and his mother to help ensure the original ethos and quality remain intact. The Good: * Their pies are made with locally-sourced and organic ingredients bought from the local farmers market--as well as some fruit that they grow themselves! * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * As mentioned above, they have both sweet and savory pies. We only tried the sweet *oink oink* * Friendly service * Love that they have both full sized pies and smaller ones, so you don't have to commit to a big ol' pie. * We tried their Elvis (PB, banana, and chocolate) and their Black & Blue Crumble and they were both fabulous! I leaned a bit more to the B&B, as I absolutely adored that granola crumble on top, but the Elvis was no slouch either. The Meh: * Interior is small and very cramped. Definitely a grab-and-go type operation. The Ugly: * Parking in DT Petaluma can be a hassle, as it's street parking only, but at least it's free. Conclusion: Fantastic spot to scratch that 3.14 itch--and I'm always itchy!

They also offer fresh salads, so there's something for everyone. I ordered the salmon toast, and it was absolutely delicious. My friend got the three-toast sampler. Our server asked about our plans for the day, and we told her my friend had a bridal appointment next door to try on wedding dresses. Later, after both brunch and the bridal appointment, we happened to run into her again. She remembered us and even asked my friend if she had found any dresses she liked. The décor is beautiful, warm, and inviting. They also have a bakery if you're just looking to grab something quick to go. The only downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side, but for a special occasion or a nice brunch outing, I think it's worth it. I'd definitely come back! P.S interesting note, they serve their late drinks on a bowl not a cup

It is difficult to make a decision on what to get because everything looks delicious. It's a good thing the staff is patient with all their customers. I wanted to take a few home for the kids. The specialty coffee drinks also look amazing! I already had my coffee but I really wish I could've tried one of theirs. I think there was a marshmallow latte that looked intriguing! While I waited for my husband to pay, I tried one of the peanut butter cookie samples on top of the counter. Then we left. Guess what! Thank goodness they still had a couple of cookies left. Like I said, get there early or else they'll sell out!!

Everything an Italian sandwich should be! They gave me containers of seasoned olive oil and giardiniera to spread on the bread before serving. We had eight adults and we had more than enough, with a piece left over for my lunch today! I also ordered the cucumber salad with feta, which was a great side dish. The roll was great and overall I enjoyed it. About $18 for a sandwich, which seemingly is the going rate these days for a sandwich. Fresh, delicious and a solid option for bougie Italian sandwiches.

I was leaving a restaurant & walked right smack dab in the middle of the farmer's market. After drooling, I mean looking at the various flavors that Simply Strudels had to offer I ended up buying a whole vanilla bean strudel mainly because the person selling the strudels said that it can be kept in the freezer until ready to serve whether it be whole or just slicing a piece off to defrost & eat. I took my first bite & was sold, hook, line & strudel, I mean sinker! I had seen over the years that Simply Strudels had opened a store front but never had the opportunity to stop by as their hours of operation conflicted with work. But one fine early morning I happened to be driving on Petaluma Blvd., South & noticed the open sign & thought to myself "self, you haven't had breakfast so stop in & get some strudel." So glad I listened to myself! So on this particular day I opted to buy 2 savory portions (1 for that morning & 1 for the next day. Bacon, cheddar & potato and garlic, spinach potato) as well as one sweet portion (fresh meyer lemon cheese strudel). OMG TOO DIE FOR!!! The savory strudels were perfection, I mean I could eat those every day for breakfast! I that fresh meyer lemon cheese strudel was Heaven on a plate, so fresh, crisp & lemony! The place is not overly huge, there are places to sit & eat. They have various savory & sweet strudels for sale as full logs or a portion. Some may think the prices are high but you're getting a handmade strudel that's made with all fresh ingredients & you don't have to stand in the kitchen & make it, someone else has done the work for you. I think it's worth it! They also have a coffee menu so you can get a regular old coffee, espresso, latte, etc. Oh & if you're so incline you can order online for pick up in their store front or order via DoorDash for pick up in their store or for delivery. Though now that I think of it, that delivery feature can be quite dangerous for me!
