The pieces were nicely sized and fried to perfection, and the cheese was superb. The lagman was okay, but the noodles were kind of tough and rubbery. The mushrooms were interesting, though. The lahmacon is offered as a lunch special and I asked if I could have the cheesemacon for the special. It's the same version with just cheese and no meat. My waiter Jamal straight told me no. I found that very odd so I inquired further because they are the same price on the menu and it's without meat. The answer still didn't change. I simply had a few more questions about other menu items and Jamal seemed agitated by then. He was not even trying to be nice. I ordered two entrees. I paid full price for the cheesemacon and had a pide with kashkaval cheese. Jamal brought my food and NEVER came back to my table. I watched him provide service to all the other tables during that time. I was fine and didn't need anything, but I didn't deserve to be treated that way for being pleasantly inquisitive. I really felt bothered by this because out of all my years of eating out, I never felt that a server treat me poorly personally for being myself. I've had bad service before just because the service is bad overall and that is different. I like the food so I reluctantly returned for a third time and had breakfast. The chicken was velvety, shrimp was plump, and the beef was tender. The outside edible "bird's nest" shell as good, though I'm not sure if it was freshly fried that moment. Plain fish filet is very fresh! This was one of the favorites for all 6 of us. It came with just enough vegetables to give the dish color, but not be a filler. There was a lot of fish to our order. Shrimp with honey walnut - probably the 2nd favorites. The shrimps were large and well cooked with a nice crunch, the sauce was just sweet enough but not overly drenched. The walnuts were fresh and crunchy creating a nice harmony in a bite. Beef brisket bowl - my personal favorite! The beef brisket was so tender and juicy! I could have just eaten this dish with a big bowl of rice. It arrived at the table bubbling hot, the bean curd (tofu) pieces were soft and tender, not overcooked and mushy. The flavors blended together with a nice saucy gravy. Yum! Mixed vegetables - not our most favorite. Although there was a nice assortment of vegetables, the sauce was kind of thick and took away from the idea of having "healthy veggies." Our meal ended with fortune cookies and almond cookies. Everything was plentiful and we have leftovers for a couple of days. The portions were definitely generous. The service was top notch. Our tea was refilled and long with our water without us asking. The rice was freshly cooked, soft and fluffy jasmine rice. Next time I want to try the ramen and a few other dishes like the salt and pepper shrimp. We wanted lobster, but it's a preorder item so it would be fresh.
