I said all that to say that I wish I would've gone to Betty sooner! I got my dog Beast in 2022 and for some reason it was really hard to find a groomer--no one was taking on new clients. I scheduled my appointment online with Wholesome Doodle, answered a few questions and uploaded a few pics of what I wanted Beast's cut to look like. I was able to get aN appointment fairly quickly. Upon meeting Betty, she felt around for mats and helped me come up with a mat that would be best for Beast. Unfortunately, we had to shave him down pretty low during his first grooming appointment, but that was no one's fault but my own. Things got In the way and I didn't brush him as regularly as I should've and many mats formed. Following the appointment she provided us with a folder with care and maintenance tips for his coat. Betty is highly experienced and will explain everything going into the appointment. She does great with Beast and I recommend her to everyone!

I'm actually quite mad. I canceled. I better not be charged a cancelation fee or this will be an immediate dispute w my credit card company. I've attached a screenshot of the lame text I received 7 mins before my scheduled appt. After reading other reviews, this seems to be a reoccurring issue with the same groomer, Kayla. Since reading other reviews, I'm grateful to have canceled this appt after reading reviews of them leaving cats and pups with bloody paws and being returned wet. Do yourself a favor and do not make an appt with this company. Find someone else who is reliable.

We scheduled a grooming session but didn't realize he would be receiving a "first-time puppy cut," which is different from a full grooming appointment. I completely understand the difference, but I wish I had been informed upfront, as I was expecting a full-body cut--especially at the price we paid. A month later, we tried a different groomer, Ivy, after seeing a Goldendoodle cut on their Instagram that we loved. She did an amazing job! As a reminder, per most pet grooming policies, all dogs must have up-to-date vaccines before their appointment. Additionally, there is now a late pickup fee if you arrive more than 30 minutes after your pet's session is completed.

Dr. Rob performed oral surgery to remove several of Reishi's teeth. It was the first major surgery we had experienced with her. He was extremely patient with our questions, took wonderful care of her, and guided us through the entire process. Reishi healed very quickly and had no postoperative complications, which we were especially grateful for after hearing about friends whose pets experienced infections and other issues following similar procedures elsewhere. Recently, Reishi had a cancer scare after an alarming initial assessment at an emergency vet. We were quite stressed. When we brought her to see Dr. Rob, he first acknowledged what we had been through and made us feel heard and cared for before discussing the next steps. He even emailed us with test results and next steps while he was on a family vacation, which showed us how deeply he cares about his patients. Fortunately, further testing showed that Reishi did not have cancer. Going through such a stressful experience felt much more manageable knowing that Reishi was under Dr. Rob's care. He is compassionate, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in both his patients and their families. Unfortunately, we are moving out of state and will have to find a new veterinarian. We truly hope we can find a clinic as wonderful as ATX Animal Clinic. It is the best veterinary clinic we have ever had, and we are incredibly grateful to Dr. Rob and the entire team.

I walked around the store for a while and noticed a young woman cleaning items nearby. Not once did she greet me or ask if I needed help. When I was looking at the driftwood display, she walked by, so I asked a question. She gave me what felt like a dirty look, gave a very quick answer, and walked away. I initially thought maybe she was busy helping other customers, but that didn't seem to be the case. What made the experience worse was what happened next. While I was still browsing near the entrance, several other customers walked in. Every single one of them was greeted by the gentleman behind the counter. I hate to even bring this up, but it left me wondering why my experience was so different. I'm a Hispanic male with tattoos, and every other customer who was greeted appeared to be white with no visible tattoos. I truly hope that wasn't the reason, but I honestly can't think of another explanation for the difference in treatment. Either way, it was disappointing. I had specifically chosen to visit a local specialty shop because I wanted the advice and expertise that comes with it. Instead, I left feeling unwelcome and will likely just go to a big box store instead--something I was hoping to avoid. From the second we arrived, Dr. Pearson and the entire care team--Megan, Ethan, and Nicole (the CEC)--were absolutely incredible. We were in a total state of panic, and they stayed calm, kept us informed, and treated us with so much empathy. It's rare to find a team that can balance high-level emergency medicine with such genuine bedside manner. Dr. Pearson is a total pro, and the nursing staff made us feel like our pup was their only priority. I don't normally post reviews but I recently brought my dog to Kanine Klippers for a bath (which includes toe clippings among other services) and a teeth cleaning for an additional 5 dollars. I must say that the service was spectacular! I called at 9 am to inquire on a same day grooming appointment and they were able to get her in at noon. In addition to being very accommodating, after picking her up, I couldn't help but appreciate how clean and great she smelled and looked. I've taken her to PetSmart and random groomers and I've never been as impressed by the quality of grooming work as I have with Kanine Klippers. read more

Despite our dog being in distress the groomer kept going with the groom even though our normally chill dog when it comes to grooming bit him again. He sad normally he carries muzzles but didn't have any with him so he just carried on! (Our boarding facility confirmed they use the dryer on him all the time and he never has an issue). I'm am beyond disturbed that the groomer would continue grooming our dog while he obviously was stressed out let alone allow him to bite him more than once. What?! Our dog has NEVER bitten anybody. Even worse, after the groom my dog was just not himself and was unusually lethargic. Upon closer look, I noticed my dog's eye was shut and weeping with the whites of his eye bloodshot and the bone around his brown bone noticeably swollen. I believe the groomer hit our sweet Great Pyrenees. Sadly our dog is very clingy one week on and is not the same dog. I am disgusted and disturbed by what happened. The owner will not return my calls to discuss the incident. Please do not use this service for your beloved pets!!!

The price was on par with what I would pay at my normal groomer but the service and time savings was amazing. Deb showed up on time.
