Arrived for 10:30 app, the place was dark and had a very unpleasant smell. All the groomers (3) were working on a dog. None acknowledged my presence at first. I did finally manage to make eye contact with one groomer who mouth "be with you", they all continued to work on their dogs. I finally got tired of not being served, and verbally cancelled my app. In addition, this placed resembled a dark garage. No pictures of animals or pleasant view or even certifications noted. If this enviroment is an example of how much care a pet receives, I would not return to this place or recommend it to anyone. read more

I've brought my Aussie here for years and they've always done a good job - until now. I brought her in today and instead of getting a cut that compliments her breed, they basically just gave her a choppy buzz cut. Anybody with clippers and time could have accomplished this. 4 hours and $100+ later, I expected the quality of cut my dog had received in the past for a lower price and in less time. I'm not sure if they have new staff or if someone was having a bad day, but this did not live up to my previous experience here and we'll be looking elsewhere in the future. read more

I started bringing my 7yo Golden Retriever here about 6 months ago, and they have been great. My dog has sensitive skin and the grooming process can be tough on her. I had let them know that I was really trying to get an appointment the day of for my dog, as she had to go to the vet the next morning and her nails were extremely long and sharp. I also notified them that I have an extremely dramatic basset hound, who hates getting her nails clipped. The two people working were so sweet to my dog, comforting her the entire time and making her feel OK. By the time they finished one foot, she started to calm down a bit but they literally gave my dog so much love and attention. The first time I brought my dog in Mary Beth the owner was great and I left a 5 star review. I have since been back 6 times and every time something was done incorrectly. They just don't listen. They have my dog 5 clipper burns 2 visits ago. On top of that, I find them to be unpleasant to work with. I had a standing Appt that whoever entered it put a stop date and didn't tell me and the last time I brought her in they didn't even cut her hair (at all), they just gave her a "potty trim" and nail grind and then charged me $85. I have asked for Mary Beth every time I've called and she's never been there. She hasn't been there for over 6 months. It's dumbfounding to me that as I read other reviews people say that the grooms are "not amazing" yet they give 5 star reviews. If you want a half ass groom for your dog by a different groomer every time, this is your place. I'm done! read more

Had an amazing experience with their staff. I seriously never write reviews but I couldn't be more happy with their service. My 65 lb. dog has behavioral issues, which the staff was extremely accommodating to and they were able to handle her with no issues. Everyone there made sure that Luna was comfortable and loved on her like she was their own! They did a phenomenal job with the mini groom as well. 10/10 will be back regularly!! read more

Nice folks here, and they were able to get our dog in within a few days, though they do seem to be pretty busy. It's a drop-off and they'll call you when they're done situation, and that meant several hours. The grooming area is completely blocked from sight by a wall between it and the front drop-off area, so I can't comment as to what the operation looks like in back. They have a basic grooming charge, and offer add-ons for an upcharge, so be sure to ask what's included in the basic grooming package. At the time we brought our sweetie in, that was a bath, basic brush (undercoat brush out is $15 extra), nail trim and express the anal glands. She looked good when we picked her up, but she was definitely ready to leave. We would try them again. Though it's on South Congress, it's not downtown in the trendy part, so parking was easy to grab in the private lot of the strip mall where they're located. read more

We conducted some research for a dog groomer and decided on Kanine Klippers--and we have no regrets! The positive reviews, reasonable prices, and their hours of operation--which includes Saturdays--were the key factors that caused us to give Kanine Klippers a try. Kanine Klippers was easy to get ahold of and they were especially helpful by accommodating our three (3) dogs for a same-day appointment. Two of our dogs are Shiba Inus (this breed has a very thick undercoat--let's just say there is nonstop shedding every minute of the day, 365 days a year). After being groomed, our Shibas' hair was incredibly soft (note: this came at an additional charge of $15/dog, which we were made aware of in advance--both on the phone and when I dropped the dogs off--so it wasn't a surprise). The employees did a great job and were very thorough with the Shibas. Our third dog, a Yorkshire Terrier, also looked great. We recommend Kanine Klippers and will certainly be returning in the future. read more

I tried a mobile groomer for his first grooming, and their introductory groom didn't include much (except a ridiculous price). So this is a surprising review for a company that has mostly 5 stars. That's why my fiancée took our dog there. When she brought him in she specifically asked not nail trim his nail as she was told it was $10 extra and we have no issues doing this. Also, when listing out what they do, they mentioned an anal gland clean. Since our dog does not like his tail being lifted she asked them not to do that as well. So far things seemed good. When I went to pick him up I was told that they trimmed his nails and did the anal gland cleaning because it was "included" which is the opposite of what they told my fiancée. While I was asking about the service on my dog. One of the girls was clipping this poor small dogs nails on the counter. The dog was screaming and yelling at the top of its lungs. In response the girl put on earmuffs to drown out the awful noise and kept saying "come on, what's the big deal, you're a good boy". Like.... What? While I was reiterating that my fiancée specifically asked for these services to not be done and wondering why the price was so high, She shrugged off my irritation and then told me the total for a shampoo, light trim around his neck and nail clippings was $81. Will absolutely never go back and actively tel people not to go hear. They lied, overcharged for services we asked NOT be done and then we're laughing at a dog that was clearly terrified and in pain while they clips it's nails. read more

I brought my 6 month old Goldendoodle here for his first haircut and I was so nervous!! Kim told me that typically for puppies they recommend a face, feet, and fanny cut for their first haircut so it isn't so overwhelming. Being that summer was quickly on its way, I asked if she could try doing a full cut depending on how he did throughout his appointment. This grooming salon is a bit far from me, but wanted to give it a shot after the raving reviews I had seen and I am so glad I did- it was well worth the drive! Kim called me every so often to let me know how he was doing and she was (thankfully) able to do a full groom on him! I asked them to cut as short as possible so it could grow throughout summer to avoid making another trip to the groomer's for a while & so that I could get a feel for where I want them to cut it next time as it grew out. The ladies at Kanine Klippers are the best, they are always so kind to both me and my pet. My oversized pup has major anxiety when it comes to getting her nails trimmed, they are always able to put her at ease. The prices are fair and their location is so convenient to my apartment. We used to go to another groomer off Slaughter & South 1st, they were hit or miss - hard to get a hold of, rather abrasive and not at all patient with my dog. Owner not very friendly, first in person contact not the best impression. I booked my spot online and had back and forth emails, owner booked me and when I showed up for my appt, our name was not on the schedule, they took me in, but did not even acknowledge the error. My dog came out okay, could've been better considereotheir pricing is more than other places. We went back two months later and my dog was scared to in, hence the vibes of owner probably, they did okay too but just had a 3rd appt and they cut my dogs hair way too short, I under she was matted but that bad and my dog had long eyelashes, she barely has none now. We will not be taking her back, We'll be finding someone else to groom our miniature schnauzer. Note to owner: have passion for what you do, if not you're in the wrong business. read more
