I've had the pleasure of using Kangaroo Movers for two separate moves, and I can't recommend them enough. The first time, I needed to move my belongings from my house into a pod, and a third story apartment, while I was waiting for my house to be built. The second time, I moved from a third-floor apartment into a new house, and they emptied my pod using both the pod. Each time, they made what could have been a stressful situation much easier. The team was punctual, professional, and incredibly efficient. Despite having to navigate tight staircases, tight corners, and lots of heavy furniture (especially on the third floor), they handled everything with care and precision. The movers were friendly, hardworking, and always had a great attitude. They also made sure to protect my furniture with padding and shrink wrap, which gave me peace of mind throughout the process. What impressed me most was how reasonable their prices were, especially considering the level of service they provided. I've had moves with other companies that were far more expensive and nowhere near as smooth. Kangaroo Movers offered excellent value for the cost, and I truly felt like I got more than my money's worth. Whether you're moving into a storage pod or to a new home, these guys know what they're doing. If I ever move again, they would be my first call. Kangaroo Movers was excellent at responding amazingly fast via Yelp's quote tool and made booking a breeze! Shout out and thanks to Paige! I really like they give an hour window of arrival time because we all know moves never go the way we plan, so I feel like that's a really reasonable expectation to give to customers so people don't get mad when their movers don't show up exactly at a time promised. I definitely underestimated my needs for this move which caused a very big difference between what was quoted/scheduled. I felt awful once I realized the move was going to be a lot longer than anyone anticipated. Nonetheless, the movers were very nice, respectful and listened to any direction/request needed. It wasn't until after we went over my estimated time (by a couple hours!) that I could feel the stress. I felt awful for the guys but they hustled and got it done. Even towards the end when they were needing to leave, they were still willing to do a couple things. They showed up on time, wrapped my delicate items and were open and honest about things they wouldn't be able to deliver on as a way to see how I wanted to take care of it, not as a refusal to do it. I recently used Kangaroo Movers (which a friend helped me find at the last minute) due to another moving company pulling a "bait and switch" on me . Paige and Kenneth Black at Kangaroo Movers were able to schedule me for my move the very next day, stayed true to their quote and were super helpful. Kenneth and Taylor (moving guys) showed up about 15 minutes earlier (on time) and got me moved in less than 2 hrs. Per their request via email, I sent my list of items to be moved and they continually confirmed throughout the process. They stayed true to their quote of $125 per hr (for 2 men) and all that it included and after the first hour, time was prorated plus a $50 fuel charge added. If paying in cash, a 5% discount was given. The 2 men were fast, careful with my belongings, disassembled and assembled a bed, accepted a few smaller items not on my list, and delivered everything at the new place in tact. There were 2 flights of stairs at my new place (not an easy climb) and all handled in less than 2 hours. I was SUPER PLEASED and would definitely use them again. Having stayed true to their word on the quoted rate and the 5% discount paying with cash, I included a tip which was within my budget for this move. Kangaroo Movers was actually recommended to me by a friend that had used them a while back. We ended up choosing them because they have great reviews and they were very affordable. We were NOT disappointed with these guys! They moved all of our stuff from storage to our new home, in the freezing rain, at the beginning of the winter ice storm that we're currently going through. They showed up early, got everything loaded, showed up at the house, got everything unloaded, they even took the time to ask where we wanted things & they were happy to put every box/item in the place it was supposed to be in. They were done with a 4 bedroom home move in less than 3 hours! They even made sure my dryer was even able to be hooked up in the new house, they realized it wasn't going to work and moved the washer and dryer to my garage for me. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about these guys. They are awesome! Punctual, respectful, considerate, super nice, hard working, smart, reliable guys! This was my first time using a moving company and I certainly made the right choice picking Kangaroo movers! Kenneth and Taylor were quick, efficient, communicative, professional and took great care of all of my items, many of them delicate - from art pieces, frames & fragile glass in boxes - they wrapped & covered items for transport, too. I did my best to organize/ label which boxes & items were going to my storage unit VS apartment (on separate floors), they fulfilled my requests efficiently and said this was also very helpful for them. They had a big truck and trailer, and made everything fit within one haul. I can't believe how quickly they had everything set up in my new place! All in all the move took few hours, the pricing was unbeatable & I paid in cash for the 5% discount. As they finished up I provided food from Sonic and big bottles of waters + tipped each of them. The guys were very appreciative & they deserved it for how hard they worked, (non-stop in this Texas heat at the peak of the day) then they were off to start another moving reservation right after finishing with mine. I wish I could give them 100 five star reviews! Kenneth and Taylor were beyond AMAZING! I have moved/hired movers 10 times before this and this was by far the best moving experience I have ever had. I moved from a 4 bedroom house in Leander to a townhouse in Austin and everything was so seamless and quick. We had all the appliances (2 fridges, washer/dryer, treadmill, laser cutter, computers) and everything was delivered and set up in perfect condition. These guys were on time, extremely professional, friendly, efficient and got to work immediately! Not to mention they were the best energy and so much fun even in 100 degrees. I will never hire another moving company and will be using them again for future moves. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I promise you will not regret hiring Kangaroo Movers. I did a search on Uhaul's site MovingHelp.com to find moving options. I just entered my criteria and multiple mover's called, or sent me a quote. I called them to ask questions, and I created my callback list. Do your homework! Many co's charge exorbitant rates, and the service & professionalism isn't there. I have to say, when I called Ken Black, I was impressed by his business acumen, professionalism, and sincerity. Their rate's and service are far better than the 15 others that I spoke with. This was my first time hiring a mover, so I was a bit skeptical at first, but Ken, & Heath were on time. They even shrink wrapped my 2-piece sofa, & loaded all my things, and unloaded it at my new place, with the quickness. I asked for several of his business cards. I actually have never written a review for anything or anybody but Kenneth and his guys (David & David) did a really outstanding job. We had a three way move between a house, a townhouse and an apartment so it was complicated to begin with but they handled it flawlessly. They were extremely efficient, careful and had to move some heavy stuff through some awkward locations and just did a great job. Even more importantly to me and my family they were extremely kind and respectful to all of us but especially to my 89 year blind aunt who was honestly a bit disoriented by the whole ordeal and the guys were great with her. I almost want to move again (not really) just to use Kangaroo again - cant say enough good things about them and, especially with logistics involved, it was surprisingly affordable. These guys are awesome and they come completely prepared. Gold Star standard when it comes to professionalism. They moved all my large furniture from my 2bd place to my new apartment in 1.5 hours. They took special care to make sure all my furniture and walls remained undamaged during the transfer. They wrapped and cushion all of my furniture at no extra charge. When I move next I will 100% use their services again. I even got lucky because they were having a price special at the time and I only paid $240 for 2 hours and that included tip. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with my most recent Kangaroo Movers experience. From the get go, Paige made the scheduling process super easy with prompt, thorough, and professional communication. On the day of the move we had a last minute delay (unable to get the keys to our new place in time), and Kenneth and Taylor were very understanding and flexible in moving things around to accommodate our schedule. Both guys worked very efficiently, and were extremely polite during all of our interactions. Not to mention, this is the most affordable moving company I have found in Austin! I would give them 10 stars if I could! Taylor and Heath were AMAZING in so many ways. They moved our things carefully and efficiently and were extremely friendly and courteous the whole time. We had a heavy sleeper sofa, beds that needed to go upstairs, some big dressers, lots of heavy boxes full of books and a ton of loose stuff that wasn't even boxed up yet and they took it all in stride and were smiling and chatting with us the entire time. It was seriously impressive how much butt they kicked!! We really couldn't have asked for anything better for our moving day. Kangaroo Movers was all that I expected and more! They were able to change my scheduled appointment at the last minute and relieve much of my moving stress. In spite of the excruciating heat, they moved swiftly loading and unloading everything. They put boxes in the appropriate places and even put them on high shelves for me-not just in the requested room. Communication was on point! I loved that there wasn't a 2 hour minimum like most other companies and that they offered a discount for paying in cash. I cannot even remember the names of other companies I've used before because of mediocre service at best, but I'll remember Kangaroo and ABSOLUTELY use them again. read more

Kangaroo Movers moved us today and they were fantastic. We are moving again in one year once our house is finished being built, and we will go right back to Kangaroo. Taylor and Heath were actually amazing! They worked super fast as if I they were being charged yet they were meticulously careful with all of our stuff and our properties (wall, doors, etc) as if it was their stuff. I waited until the last possible minute to decide that I wanted/needed help moving- I called Kenneth on Friday and he let me know they were booked but would see what he could do for me. I got a call the next day saying they could fit me in at the end of their day on Sunday, I was not expecting them to be so dang quick and efficient even after a full weekend worked at that point, and to be professional, friendly and timely on top of that. Kangaroo sent two great guys to help me move. They arrived on time, worked quickly and were vey polite. They did a great job loading and unloading, and placed things exactly were I requested. If they weren't sure where to put something in my new home, they asked when bringing it in. What a relief! Things that needed to be taken apart were put back together correctly, and all of my furniture and belongings are still in great condition. They are easy to contact if you have questions before your move. I really recommend Kangaroo Movers and will hire them when I need to move again. read more

Kangaroo Movers were awesome!! They helped us wrap, pack, and move. They did anything we asked them to. The best thing was the pace. We had them most all day and they never slowed down. The pace was quick. They would take 5 boxes on a dolly down the stairs at a time! They walked briskly with purpose the whole time. I highly recommend them. They broke down a complex bunk bed and put it back up at the new house. Hooked up washer and dryer. Padded everything. The price was straightforward and competitive. Taylor and Kenneth moved me today (Tuesday) and I cannot say enough good things about these guys. They were communicative, polite, strong, hard working, extremely fast, and careful with my belongings. I initially asked for 3 guys because I thought I had a big job and wanted to minimize time, but Paige assured me Tyler and Kenny could do it...and they did amazing. They moved me from a 3rd story 2/2 to a 2 story house in 2 hours less than I anticipated. It was amazing watching them work. If I could give them 10 stars I would! They just finished moving us today (middle of July in 102 degrees!!) and they were wonderful! The guys were very friendly and worked quickly but carefully. The heat didn't slow them down although we would have completely understood if it did. This was our first move with movers, and we were completely impressed! Although we were given the price in the quote when we booked, we were still surprised with how inexpensive it was with how high quality they performed their job. These guys are AMAZING!! They were so responsive, worked with us on rescheduling when we had setbacks with our apartment, and were overall just nice guys. My roommate and I have a pretty hefty couch and they were able to repel it down from the second floor with not a scratch on it. If that doesn't speak to their abilities then I don't know what does.
