Did a good job hemming up jeans, 6 pairs for $140. Seems a little pricey since my last alterations at another establishment on Bell Rd.

I needed some pants with a hole in them so it was a five minute job and cost $15. You decide if that's affordable or not.

He did a great job! Just make sure you drop of your items days before they are needed

I've never used a tailor before, but had two pairs of brand new pants that were way too long for me to wear. I found Kam on yelp, via his great reviews. I went in, and he had me try both pairs on so we could make sure we had the right measurements for hemming. Just a few days later, both pairs of pants were perfectly hemmed (crushed velvet material, and stiff flannel patterned slacks) for only $30! When I went to pick them up, he already had them in his hand before I even opened the door. Honestly, as a person who has had several challenges with finding clothes that fit (I'm short!), I can't wait to look through my closet to see what else I can bring in! Kam hemmed a satin dress for me. I needed 12 inches taken off to make a floor length dress mid-length. I called and no one answered but he called me back within 15 minutes and had me come to the shop and take measurements right away. He had my dressed done within 24 hours and also responded to my text messages. He also only charged $20 or $30. Good price, great service, excellent craftsmen shop. read more

I found Kam's Alterations after searching on Yelp. After reading the great reviews and close proximity, I thought to give this business a try. I took in my daughter's uniform skirt to be repaired as the hem came undone. The gentleman was kind enough to repair it right on the spot, less than 5 minutes. His work was impeccable, couldn't even tell that the stitching on the skirt ever came undone. The price was reasonableness well. $10 for a craft that is apparent he takes pride in and for the convenience was DEFINITELY worth it. I had two pieces of clothing that needed to be fitted for my dance performance. Pants waist too big and leg too long. My top is too baggy and need to be shrinked at the waist. I went to have my dress done for my daughters wedding, Kam's Alteration worked on my dress to shorten the dress that was to long. My husband picked it up and brought it home, when I tried it on ,it had different lengths short on one side long on on the front, he cut the inside too short. My daughters wedding is in two weeks I cannot order a new dress, so I had to take it to another seamstress to fix the front of the dress, because I was still stepping on it. I asked him to reimbursed my the money for the lack of service he provided or at least pay for the alterations that were done by another shop. Kam's denied me a refund for his mistakes, and denied to pay for the new alterations. To top that off the dress was also covered in pet hair, glitter and dirty like it was dragged on the floor. read more

Kam is fair, generous, friendly, kind, efficient, and easy to get a hold of. He was able to hem my bridesmaid dress just in time for my best friends wedding! He also did a wonderful job! Definitely will be visiting him again soon! Side note: He said he specializes in African clothing. He creates and sells gorgeous pieces of every color under the sun. ‼ BE WARNED DO NOT USED HIM LIAR SCAMMER‼ On June 3, we drove quite a ways to get to Kam's to have the sleeves hemmed on four brand new suit jackets. It was around early afternoon and the door to his business was locked, but the A-frame was outside indicating he was opened. We knocked on door and Kam opened to let us inside. We notice there were no mirrors or dressing area as one would find in an alteration business. We had him pinned the sleeves on each jacket while my husband wore it, just to be sure. When he was finished, Kam told us it would be ready for pickup on Friday, June 9. Fair enough. We were asked to put down a deposit. We gave him cash deposit and provided our phone number before we left. The following week went on and we did not so we thought everything was good. Then Friday came and we could not go to pick up jackets. Instead, we drove all the way there on Saturday, June 10. Pulled into the parking lot and saw the A-frame sign out in the front of the business. The door was locked again. We knocked and knocked and knocked. Approximately 5 minutes went by and we decided to call Kam. He picked up and said "oh man! I was too busy. Jackets are not ready! Can you come back on Monday?!" To my husband, he said it would not be ready until Monday. To me, he asked if we could pick up on Friday -- another week!!! Feeling even more nervous about Kam's shady dealings, we asked him for our suit jackets back and our deposit. Kam pretended he was not at his store when we called but when we threatened to involve our attorneys, he confessed he was at his store. We were able to get our jackets back and our deposit. BTW, nothing had been done on the jackets the entire week he had it. Thank goodness our suit jackets were still in good shape! We were able to drive them to another tailor we had in mind but didn't go to on the day we decided to take them to Kam. We regret making that choice. The new tailor is so much better -- a senior couple who has been tailoring for other 25+ years! Their shop is clean and legitimate with proper dressing platform/mirror for them to mark and pin. They had proper cash register and gave us proper receipts with date we submitted in clothes and date/time to be picked up. They were professional and nice. They are such a blessing after such a horrific experience with Kam. His business name should really be SKAM's Alterations. He is not a legitimate tailor. I think I finally found an alteration place that can take good care of me. I've been trying to find a place that can patch my jeans without making it look like a patch and this guy was able to help me out. I haven't tried them with other items but since I've been looking for someone that could patch the way that he has done it I'm excited to continue to use him in the future. He's got a nice little shop that opens up at 10 AM and closes at 5 PM Monday through Saturday. The shop is a long Glendale between 19th Ave. and I 17 on the south side of the road. Kam was super friendly when I came in on a Saturday to get 4 of my pants altered. I had the legs tapered and hemmed as well as the waist taken in. Kam even stayed open late for me so I could pick them up after work on Monday!!! I could no ask for any more!
