I used the request a quote feature to see what prices were like and Bell Town was the only business that responded with a starting price. They also happen to be just up Bell Road from where I live so I decided I was going to stop in. I was greeted right away and Yuriy took a look at the tear in the comforter. He was able to do the repair right then for me and charged a good price. Do note that he only takes cash and he's a nice man with a nice local business so be sure to leave him a tip! I needed a few skirts altered and the turnaround time would've typically been a week (which I didn't know) but they got it done in a few days so I could have them ready for my Europe trip tomorrow. Reasonable prices and their care for the work they do is evident: besides myself, several people came to pick up items while I was there and they invited each one to try on the finished item to make sure it's a good fit. Not even gonna lie...this was my first time gettin a dress shirt altered to fit like a glove. Mind you, I'm 6'9, 215 with a muscular build. I was unsure about what to say to describe what I wanted but he led me in the right direction. My shirt had a pattern on it. He told me exactly what he was going to do in order to make the shirt look like it hadn't been altered. The level of detail he has to make it look like that is crazy. I was so impressed with the shirt, I took the slacks I was going to wear with the shirt for him to adjust as well. This man brought the fit to life with how these garments laid. Earlier this summer, I had a pair of pants cut off and made into shorts. After three or four months, the stitching came out. I took them back would've been an easy fix, but was told and I quote "this isn't Home Depot. We don't give warranties". They told me, it would be another $15 to fix the pants. Over the past 10 years or more, I have had many things repaired and restored by Valdimir, at Bell Town Shoe Repair. I had a beautiful handbag that kept sliding off my shoulder. He suggested sewing a small concealed piece of suede on the underside of the shoulder strap! Perfect! It no longer slides off. My dog chewed the edge of my hand woven entry rug from Turkey. He did an amazing job repairing it! You can't even see where the damage was! He has repaired many pairs of shoes, mine, my husbands and daughters. He cleaned and restored my gorgeous red suede Gucci flats! I wore them to a party, they were horribly dirty and stained! He made them look brand new!! He also cleaned and repaired a pair of Gucci sandals for me. He made them look brand new!! He always does excellent craftsmanship and takes pride in his work. Update: My clothes are perfect. Highly recommend! Original Review: I dropped off a lined jacket, a structured dress, and a pair of wide-leg pants to be altered. Yuri, the tailor, was very careful in assessing the garments and I was pleased with his recommendations. My jacket is too long in the sleeves and the sleeves are a bit too wide. I'm losing weight and I want to make a these few better pieces stretch till I'm ready to replace them with smaller things. Yuri told me that narrowing the sleeves would be an extra $20 but because of the way the garment is constructed they would still be wide on me when it was done. He suggested only taking up the length because that would be less costly and make the most difference. I appreciated that because he saved me some money and set realistic expectations for what is possible with that jacket. Pricing was $30 each for the lined jacket and structured dress and $15 for the slacks. Today is Saturday and they'll be ready Thursday. I did have to run to the ATM because it is a cash only shop but it was only a minor inconvenience. This is a small business and the rent in this center can't be cheap. I understand not wanting to incur credit card processing fees. I don't know how pricing stacks up against competitors and maybe I could have the work done cheaper elsewhere, but when it comes to supporting local business and individual craftspeople, lowest price isn't the most important measure. I didn't want to do it myself and the jacket is definitely outside my skill level so I feel like I'm getting a fair deal. This next bit is regarding the staff: I read some other reviews that suggested the owners were grumpy or rude but that was not my experience at all. I had a very pleasant interaction. Yuri struck me as a quiet man, but he was courteous, professional, and flexible about when I needed the pieces back. Not everyone is bubbly all the time and that's ok. Sewing is, at least in my experience, quiet and contemplative work. I suspect that might read as aloof to some even though introverted is probably a more accurate assessment. I'm looking forward to receiving my clothing back and I have high expectations for the quality, seeing the other clothing hanging in the shop. I will update the review when I pick up. I recently went to Bell Towne Shoe Repair. I had a Coach purse strap repaired and replaced. Whoever waited on me told me then price would be $45.00. It was used buckle from an old purse, and should of been a simple repair. Upon checking with my girlfriend, Coach would of repaired for free. Whoever waited on me was not very friendly, and it seemed like he did not even want to wait on me. I told him when I picked it up, he was way overpriced, but still demanded the 45.00. Did he charge me extra because it was Coach? Word of advice.....shop around and don't listen to other reviews. read more

I went back to the owner and told him that they were scratched off because he painted them and asked if he would fix them and he told me that I wore them but I never wore them and he called me a liar .
