LE truly went above and beyond for me…read more I was referred by Mariee's Bridal in Scottsdale to Suzanne's Sewing to have my wedding dress altered, and unfortunately it turned into a disaster. After my very first appointment, my dress went from fitting perfectly to not fitting at all, and with every subsequent appointment it only got worse. Two weeks before my wedding, I realized I had to take a chance and find someone else. I called Le and she knew even before seeing the dress, she immediately understood what was going on and agreed to see me at the end of her workday. When she finally saw the dress, she was shocked by the condition it was in. It had essentially been slapped together by Suzanne's Sewing. The dress had been stretched out and damaged from being repeatedly taken in and out, and mismatched material had even been added under the arm area and along the sides that looked nothing like the original fabric. LE worked on my dress every single day. During the first week I was in the shop every other day, and the week before the wedding I was there every evening. The night before we left for the wedding, I didn't leave her shop until 3 a.m. Despite the condition the dress was in, LE managed to completely transform it. She made sure it fit me perfectly and that the corrective alterations looked seamless. She even prepared a backup dress for me in case the original dress ripped during the reception because of the previous damage. LE is incredibly skilled and has a remarkable eye for detail. With formal gowns, every adjustment affects the entire structure of the dress. If someone doesn't fully understand how each change impacts the rest of the garment, the results can quickly spiral into bigger problems. LE clearly understands this craft at a very high level. First off, the process they use is simple and efficient. I've never had to wait long in line to drop off my stuff, and they'll shoot you a text when it's ready for pickup. I similarly have never had to wait long to pick up my clothes. I've mostly been to Tatum Cleaners for button-up dress shirts and blazers. And once to clean a rug. The amount of time it takes them to take care of business is reasonable, and the prices are reasonable. I've never ran into any issues. That's the type of experience you look for at a dry cleaners.

A year ago in Illinois I paid $10 per pair of jeans to shorten the hem length. No environmental fees. I could've replaced my old kenmore sewing machine for alot less and did the work myself. It's been so frustrating trying to find a good place to fix my heels for a good price. While out and about today, my mom says "hey, wanna get your boots fixed?" As much as I love being heard walking from a mile away due to my clinking, I figured it was time to get them fixed. She calls Markel's and they say they can fix my boots -- but one slight problem -- I was wearing them. Well, we get to the shop, walk in, and I asked how quickly my boots could be fixed, since I was wearing them. I'm told to take a seat, give the gentleman my boots, and relax for a bit. The gentleman takes my shoes back, and -- kid you not -- fixed them and gave them back within 5 minutes! Not only was I amazed as his quick turnaround, but the quality of the work was superb! I am extremely pleased with Markel's! The quality of work, the quick turnaround, and pricing can't be beat (and believe me, I've tried to find a place to fix my heels at a reasonable price). I walked out absolutely impressed, and I promised I'd bring back ALL my heels; so if you need your shoes fixed, I highly suggest you go here before I do -- 'cause they will have their work cut out for them once I drop off all my shoes! Highly highly recommend!!! Oh, and they do much more than just fix shoes; they fix luggages, do alterations, dry cleaning, etc.

I have taken items here to have altered before the pandemic and was very, very satisfied. I went to…read moretake a simple item to get altered a month ago, and was SHOCKED on arrival. The store was not open during posted hours and there were clothes all over the place. The counters were sky high with piles of clothing. I returned the next day and someone was there, she took measurements, and ask me if I needed the item right away. I said no and she told that the item would be ready in 10 days and she would call me when it was ready. Three weeks later, no call, so I decided to stop in to see if it was ready. It was not and told me to come back on Monday. I was there on a Friday. When I went back on Monday she said she had to do a couple of things to finish it and for me to wait, 20 minutes later she brought it out to me. The job was done and the item fits great. When I went to the counter to pay, I could see the back of the sewing room. Clothes piled high from the floor to the ceiling. I don't where there was room for her to work. And, on top of everything she charged me more than she had quoted me a price for in the beginning. I won't be going back here again.
