My friend and I were Yelping our way through dinner options after some time apart (gotta love the 30s scheduling struggle). A little scrolling plus stomach logic reminded me I'd been here before and liked it - case closed. Reservations are an option, but we walked in and got seated right away: no wait, no fuss, just pure ramen-tic vibes between me and the noodles. Location: Facing Auahi St, right next to Mian & Bao and across from the Anaha building. Parking: Not the restaurant's fault, but the lot behind it is narrow, low, and unforgiving (free, at least!). My compact car had to suck in its mechanical guts just to squeeze into a stall. Lifted trucks? You'll need divine intervention and some serious real-life Tetris skills. Safe to say the designer missed the Hawaii = Tacoma country memo. Atmosphere: Retro, eclectic izakaya vibes with a slightly off-script design. Tight quarters, lively energy, and a playlist that sounded like my Spotify on shuffle. Food: My friend tried the Beefy Seabura, I went with the Beefy Wild. The broth? Incredible - milky, rich, and soul-warming. The beef? Basically a jaw workout - impossible to chew through, and my friend had the same issue. In hindsight, I should've flagged it to the staff, but I was too busy enjoying the other 70-80% of the bowl. Drinks: Just water for us since ramen was the star. Beyond the usual soft drinks and booze, the cocktail list had a quirky twist - each one named after a Japanese city pop track. Service: Our waiter was attentive and on point - no complaints here. Price: Around $15 for my ramen - reasonable, though tough to swallow (literally) when the beef wasn't. Would I return? Tentatively yes. If the beef pulls the same stunt again, I'll be sticking to safer picks. read more

Fantastic little place at Ward Center (original side). Limited seating but they take reservations. We arrived closer to 1pm, so our wait was only 15 minutes or so. Totally worth it. Amazing ramen. I had the spicy and it delivered as promised. Beef was so tender and broth was very rich. Fried gyozo was great. Prices are very reasonable. Service is quick and efficient. Seriously my fav ramen place on island. Location is really small but wait time is never forever. They get you seated fast. The boiled gyoza and fried gyoza are both great options it's always hard to decide on which one. The fries is our go to while we wait. The cocktail drinks are super delish. I always end up with any of the spicy ramen bowls that they have available. Menu items change sometimes. read more

Convenient location in Ward Center, very nice servers, fun and casual ambiance. Cheap and fun cocktails, so I could see this as a fun option for a little outing with friends! The yuzu cocktail was only $6 and very yummy. The house-made kimchi was a standout for our group, which came with a hefty portion of the flavorful side. The gyoza was also well seasoned and well-packed with filling, although the skin was a bit tough and lackluster. I appreciated the light batter on the fried squid. The flavors were all good, while the squid itself had a lot of chew. I liked it but would definitely consider it tough. I quite liked the tsukemen! The broth was great. Super flavorful, a bit smoky? Not overly oil, but still rich. The noodles were good as well. However, the piece of meat on the tsukemen was really dry and flavorless. Honestly, the dish would be better without it. My group also tried the Seabura ramen. If you like a very rich, almost cheesy ramen broth, this is for you. Not my cup of tea, but it was well done. read more

Easily one of my my most favorite places to eat when I'm crazing something that will feel like a warm hug. The ramen here is so good, this is a repeat spot for my friends and me. There can be a wait, so take advantage of Yelp Reservations and make them a day ahead for your dining ease. If not, there is a clipboard outside for you to sign in. The list moves pretty quickly and there are seats outside to wait if it's totally full inside. As soon as you are seated, the staff is quick to give you water and a menu, but if you had to wait, there is a courtesy menu outside so you are ready. Since I go here all the time, I do often start with with the Gyoza Sui (which can only be eaten dine-in, so sorry for those who rely on takeaway). Honestly, it's been hit or miss with this one. It's full of flavor, but sometimes it just tastes better than others, so just get it every time . As for my meal, I always go for the yuzu ramen which is a little lighter than the usual ramen flavors you may be used to. Even with the lighter broth, the ramen is very filling and very satisfying. On this particular visit, I went with a friend who has the tsukemen that he polished off. He described the broth to be very creamy and the spice was perfect. If ramen isn't for you, the menu is quite vast and there will surely be something to your liking. The location is convenient to the Ward area and offers free parking behind the restaurant or even across the street near Whole Foods. And if you love the place, you can even get some merch! read more

I ordered the takoyaki and Seabura ramen. The takoyaki was ok wish the tako pieces were a bit bigger. It felt like a little of batter , but it did taste good. As far as the Seabura ramen, the piece of char sui was nice and tender. The broth is so creamy and full of flavor. The ramen itself is right on. Most definitely we will be back. read more

February 2026 First time trying this place at Ward Centre. We went on a Saturday for lunch. We lucked out that there wasn't a long sign up list and we were seated within a few minutes. The place is small and quaint with some small tables and bar stools on a counter. They specialize in Gyu Kotsu, Beef Bone Ramen. Our server suggested the #1 Beef Ramen. I ordered a combo that came with a small ramen and I added a half egg. The broth was thick and the beef was melt in my mouth delicious. My lunch partner ordered a combo which included a large Beef Ramen and side Beef Stir Fry. We both enjoyed what we ordered. The service was great! read more

After a busy morning shopping at Ward we decided to stop by Kamitoku for a lunch break. There was no wait at 11:30 on a weekday and we were immediately seated in the small, cozy restaurant. Service is friendly and attentive, the workers were kind enough to let us store our baby stroller in the back while we ate. The lunch special combos are a great deal and come with your choice of ramen and appetizer. The Seabura ramen was creamy and filling featuring big chunks of fatty meat, an egg, and thick noodles. We tried the Chasiu Bowl and the Beef Sui Gyoza appetizers and both were delicious! It started to get busy as we were leaving so try to make reservations if you're stopping by on a weekend as the restaurant is pretty small! read more

Wild Beast Ramen was the best ramen I have ever had EVER, even in Japan this would be a ten out of ten+ , the homemade kimchi was better than any kimchi I've ever had. I recommend this place over any Ramen restaurant on Island. I can't say enough about how much this ramen tasted better than a grilled steak and eating the kimchi every other bite refreshed the pallet , so every bite was out of this world. Love this place and so lucky it's our neighborhood ramen restaurant ‼ read more

I really loved my last experience here! I got the tsukemen, and it was really flavorful! I don't know if I like beef broth more than pork broth, but it was good! I liked the fried rice, too. The restaurant was decorated for Halloween; so so cute! I loved it, especially as a big fan of Halloween myself. The service was great; our food was as brought out really quickly and the servers checked in throughout our dinner but not too often. I recommend if you're in the Ward area! read more

Used to love this place but idk if management change or the recipe did? Half the menu has changed and the meat was the toughest I ever had, not to mention they added more noodles than broth. I don't see beef broth ramen all that often so this was a pleasant and satisfying change of pace. The soup and meat were super flavorful, and the ramen bowl as a whole was the perfect comforting meal after a full day. The service was fast and although there were a few parties ahead of us on the waiting list, we were seated in a short amount of time. A busy restaurant for good reason and I didn't realize they were also the place that has the mega sized ramen bowl so I want to try that out another time. Clean and organized ambiance, and free parking in the attached Ward Center parking structure. Overall a very enjoyable experience and thank you Kamitoku Ramen for the great dinner! read more

Kamitoku ramen - Ramen Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

they changed up their menu and added a couple of new things that sound super interesting but i haven't tried them yet. i usually always get the seabura - it's super creamy. recently, i started getting the beefy wild - it's also creamy but less creamy than the seabura, super rich flavor, so yummy, but the beef is quite dry. the beef gyoza namban is good, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. the sauce is my favorite - sweet vinegar shoyu and tartar sauce. i come here a lot, sometimes it's super hot inside and sometimes it's super cold so i never know how to dress super convenient place to eat, plenty parking (though the stalls are really tight), wait lines are not too bad (if it's long, the turnover is pretty quick), servers are nice! read more

This is one of my top go-to places for ramen. The ramen is so tasty! The specialize in beef broths and my favorite is the seabura. That one has these little chunks of beef fat that just melt in your mouth. The ramen here are pretty rich and heavy - great if you want something hearty but might not be good if you want something lighter. The appetizers generally taste okay - not the best I've had. But they do have a wide selection in case you're not feeling ramen. The location is super convenient at Ward and there's lots of parking in their structure. Wasn't feel too good yesterday and was craving ramen. Kamitoku was listed on Uber Eats and I remember hearing great things so I decided to give it a shot. Based on previous reviews I went with the Seabura ramen and added an extra slice of brisket. It arrived quick with broth separated from fixins. I was kinda hoping there'd be more broth although it was an ample amount for the noodles, just wish I ordered a side for the sore throat. The flavor was delicious. The brisket was so tender and tasty. Noodles were soaked to perfect. The egg firm yet jammy. It really was a great bowl of ramen. I'm definitely looking forward to trying more menu items. read more

3.5 stars for above average ramen - get the beefy ramen! While the ramen here is decent, some dishes fell short. The lite shoyu and agedashi tofu were quite bland (though the kids enjoyed them), and the portion sizes felt a bit small. The gyoza and other meats were notably fatty and greasy, which detracted from their flavor. The miso ramen was pretty standard, but the Beefy Wild was definitely the highlight of the meal. read more

My nephew recommend this place for lunch. I ordered the seabura ramen and my spouse had the beefy wild beast ramen. I found both of the broths good. I did prefer the creaminess of the beefy wild beast broth to mines. The noodles and beef were cooked perfectly. The broth had a nice fatty taste. I also ordered the boiled gyoza and my spouse the spicy gyoza. Of the two the boiled gyoza was more flavorful. The spicy gyoza relied too much on the sauce for taste. The serving size is not large, but very filling due to the heaviness of the broth. read more

Our family decided to take Grandma out on a field trip to get lunch. She loves ramen so we stopped here to get her ramen fix. The restaurant is quite small and a little hard to navigate through for someone like grandma, who uses a walker. We looked through the menu and everything sounded so good. We ordered with our stomach because we ended up taking home lots of left overs! Overall we enjoyed our food, but the ramen was a little too salty for my taste. My mom said that the tsukemen dipping sauce got cold quickly and wish it was hotter. Would eat here again if I was in the area. read more

I highly recommend the Beefy Wild. It's creamy, silky, and I can tell it was made with love. The deep fried gyoza dough, is well-made, and the filling is even better! The server me and my family had, was super respectful, and was super nice. I had the Wagyu bites, the Beefy Wild, the gyozas, and the Matcha Tiramisu, and the egg. Kamitoku used to be our favorite ramen shop on island, but we went for dinner last weekend after having not been there for over a year and it was not the same as we remembered. The portions seemed a lot smaller than before, and our favorite thing used to be the super tender meat in the ramen but it was a lot tougher this time. Ramen Heaven.... Gloomy weather calls for ramen! We wanted to try a new place and remembered this place in Ward! Reasonable prices for high quality food. Hip, trendy place with limited seating. Two seater tables sit very closely to surrounding tables so you can hear other's conversations. Service was upbeat and friendly. Food: +Beef Gyoza Namban ($8.5) +Takoyaki ($10.25) +Beefy Wild Ramen ($16) +Tsukemen ($17) I thoroughly enjoyed each of the appetizers and ramen! They were so delicious! I've never had this type of creamy ramen before. No dairy which is better for my stomach. They emulsify the broth to get it creamy. Full of flavor! The Gyoza had a nice crunch and the nanban sauce complemented the richness of the beef filling. Takoyaki did not disappoint! **2nd Time Visit: +Beefy King ($29.95) - this was a massive portion of ramen! Loaded with veggies and meats. We were able to finish this between 2 people, but our server says usually most people can't finish it. He told us we were the 2nd to ever finish the bowl in a sitting haha! What a great deal and you'll leave stuffed! They do have lunch specials that I hope to come back for. Enjoy! read more

Lokking forward to eating at Kamitoku Ramen again. They remodeled. It's hipper and more modern/trendy. My wife and I wanted to split something as we were trying to get to the North Shore. We had a fantastic time at Kamitoku Ramen with a group of 10. I managed to get a same-day reservation by calling ahead; the staff was honest about not making any promises but did a great job accommodating us all together, despite my willingness to split tables. The 18% gratuity added for our large group was expected, but it didn't dampen our experience. Most of us ordered the Beefy Wild, which remains my favourite ramen. For some of our friends who were trying Kamitoku Ramen for the first time, it quickly became a new favourite. Three people from our group went for the Beefy King, which was enormous--loaded with noodles, meat, chicken karaage, and bean sprouts. This dish is definitely meant for sharing and could easily feed 2-3 people. Unfortunately, halfway through my husband's Beefy King, he found a metal piece from what seemed to be a scrubber pad in his ramen. We flagged it to the waitress, who promptly gave him a free drink, which was a nice gesture, though we were mainly concerned about the cleanliness of the kitchen. Thankfully, my husband was mixing his noodles, so he avoided eating it. Service was solid; we waited around 8-10 minutes for our food, which was well worth it. Everything was delicious, and despite the minor mishap, I would definitely come back to Kamitoku Ramen. read more
