Eventually, I had to get up and find our server myself to ask if someone could please wipe down our table because it was disgusting. He said, "Okay," but continued walking around without coming back to clean it. After waiting even longer, I got up a second time and approached the young woman at the front. She clearly saw me standing there but continued talking to someone on her phone without acknowledging me until I finally said, "Excuse me." I politely asked if she could have someone wipe down our table, and she responded, "Yeah, okay." I returned to my seat, only to see that she was still on her phone and had made no effort to help us. Our server finally came over with water, and I had to ask for a THIRD time if someone could please clean our table. Instead of simply taking care of it, he pointed toward the girl at the front and made a hand gesture for her to come wipe it down. After asking three separate times, our table was finally cleaned. What bothered me even more was our server's attitude afterward. When he handed us our water, he was rolling his eyes and visibly seemed annoyed. I could tell that he had an attitude simply because I had asked for our dirty table to be cleaned. I have honestly never felt so uncomfortable around a server or in a restaurant environment. On top of everything else, nobody checked on us for refills, our food took an extremely long time to arrive, and the overall service was terrible. I completely understand that servers can be busy, and I don't expect anyone to constantly make conversation with us or go above and beyond. However, I do expect basic customer service, cleanliness, and professionalism. Asking for a table to be wiped down before eating is NOT an unreasonable request. I shouldn't have to get up three separate times just to have a clean place to eat, especially when we made a reservation ahead of time. I also shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable or like I'm bothering an employee for asking for something so basic. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. Between the reservation issues, unsanitary conditions, lack of attentiveness, long wait times, and unprofessional attitudes, the entire visit was unpleasant. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because no customer should have to experience this kind of service, especially when they are simply asking for a clean table and basic hospitality.

Wow!! Where do I start . I was driving looking for something to eat and let me tell you I came across Kalaveras and I'm so Happy we came in. We immediately got seated and and greeted by Isacc and his attention to detail is by far superior. My daughter came in and had brought her doll with her to the restaurant. Isacc brought her doll a high chair WOW !!! My daughter face immediately glowed ! She was so Happy . Wow now that is service not only that a few minutes later the chef Cornelio made her doll a custom mini taco for her doll!!! Once again I'm super IMPRESSED !! Food was amazing !!! Our server David was also super nice and attentive. He made great recommendations! We had ceviche and aguachiles and both were so tasty !! I totally recommend it . He also told us all drinks are made from scratch and let me tell you THEY ARE !! You can definitely taste the quality of ingredients! BEST DRINKS IN RIVERSIDE ! Decided to go to my favorite Mexican spot on Friday night in Riverside HOWEVER it had been some time since i had visited and I arrived only to find out the Restaurant had been completely changed, But that was not going to stop me The new feel to this establishment is HIGH ENERGY the decor and theme of Skulls (Calavaras with a K) gave a Dia De Los Muertos Vibe the Music was pumped up and the Servers were on point. Now the food. I ordered the Dragon Roll which I did not have high hopes for until It entered my mouth cause OMG that was Amazing the spicy mayo was perfect and it was Huge!!! I also ordered the Rizo (soy protien) Taco and aside from being greasy which is expected it was perfect. I will definitely be back. Only downside was the servers were spread thin so we did not see them too often, but when they were there they were ON POINT!!!! Kalaveras is a really cool place, located on a strip mall with easy access and plenty of parking available. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in, the ambiance is really picturesque very "Day of the Dead", it has many good spots to take pictures. The service is great, everyone is really nice and attentive. And they go the extra mile to accommodate the menu to your preferences. I went on a Tuesday 2 hours too early for Taco Tuesday. To drink we had beer and margaritas, first strawberries and cream (meh) and mango (yummy!). To eat we had tacos, they were delicious. While the portions were generous and the drinks impressive, the overall taste and quality of the food were below average. The tacos, a staple of Mexican cuisine, arrived soggy and lacking in flavor. Despite the food being edible, it failed to meet the expected standards. Additionally, the pricing was higher than anticipated, which added to the disappointment. My first visit at, Kalaveras but, definitely not my last. From when my party walked through the doors. Welcomed with the hostess's ready to seat us and very friendly. A special thank you to our waiter, Sebastian. You made our tables first visit amazing. Sebastian was knowledgeable, attentive and we never had to request refills, napkins he just knew. I try different restaurants in the IE and it was my first time in Riverside and I decided to try out Kalaveras and honestly I was surprised by there deal on Sunday... I absolutely loved it our server was SERGIO and he was so attentive even though Sundays it's buffet style he was constantly checking up on us and making sure we were good... SERGIO came very often to our table and refilled our bottomless mimosas not like other restaurants where they never come around to refill... so I would definitely come back not only because of the buffet style brunch but because of SERGIO... restaurants definitely need servers like SERGIO!!! read more

I normally don't leave reviews, but I randomly came across this place in MoVal and decided to give it a try because of reviews and pictures. It definitely did not disappoint. Started off with the taquitos and a tamarindo michelada for michelada Thursday! The chicken taquitos were bomb and the michelada was one of the best I've tried here in the IE. Also, the chips and salsa was on point. But above all that the service was excellent. They were very attentive and the food was quick. We also got the asada taco and barbacoa taco. My friends and I went here tonight for our close friends birthday. We all ordered the birria tacos and a side of rice and beans along with it. My experience at Kalvaeras was amaaaazing because of Andres. He took his time to explain the menu to us and recommend the Margarita flight which was fantastic. You are able to taste a colorful variety of drinks just for $20. Andres was super friendly and was patient when he reviewed the menu with us. 10/24/26 @12pm lunchtime. Checked online before going and…read moreit said they open at 11am. We got there at 12:15, and nothing was on, TVs, music, etc... was DEAD! We looked for someone inside and a guy came from the back told us to hold on. We asked if they were open and they said yes. We asked for a MICHELADA and the lady that makes them wasn't there so none available. The lady that makes them strolled in at 1230ish with no rush! Our food came at 1:15ish bout an hour later. Both my wife and I ordered different Sushi rolls and they both smelt like the 2 for $1 raw little shrimp with tapatio from the liquor store. We told them to take it back cause we didn't like it (ate 2pcs each to try em out) When the bill came they tried to charge me for them! I asked for the manager and they discounted the rolls 50%. I guess.... BEWARE OF NEW OWNERSHIP! They used to be Great!!!! No so much now!

We flagged her down more times than I care to admit. A few tables were occupied from what appeared to be a couple of separate families dining. I grabbed a seat at the bar and was then greeted by the bartender who was very welcoming and friendly. I love the customer service. Being swamped with the other tables and then including myself, she still was attentive to me at while I was sitting alone at the bar. The old fashioned she made me was on point. Although, I was expecting a big ice cube or ice sphere in my glass and not the standard ice cubes, it still worked out. $16 is about average for an old fashioned. I also had a passion fruit margarita and it was great. $6 on a Monday, you definitely can't be upset at that. The Quesa Birria Tacos came with a cup of consomè for $12. That's not a bad price. And they put some Birria in the consomè. I've been to a lot of spots where they don't. Not your traditional with the queso but it was still fire with the Mexican blend or style of cheese. I truly enjoyed both tacos and wish it came with more consomè lol. Overall, I loved the experience. I had a great time before taking that hr drive back. The vibes were definitely on point.y drinks were good and reasonable. The tacos were really good and also reasonable. The customer service was amazing. I left the bartender a $5 for working so hard and just being a decent person.

They fixed the minor issues I mentioned last time and service has really improved. Today, I ordered the beef dip and a Tom Collins. The sandwich was a nice thick serving of meat and tasty broth along side the best and crispiest fries I've had in ages. The Collins was a strong and served in a pint glass. For some reason they tend to do that more in the afternoon than at night. Maybe they think your boss might come in and they want you to be able to pretend it's lemonade... Zachary was my server and was as sweet as can be. I'll always be a Sires customer!

We went for lunch at like 2 or 3 and our bartender JEREMY was so cool, chill, made our drinks bomb,was attentive and made our first sire experience 10/10 The vibes in this place were 10/10 kinda gives a cheers vibe. We ordered an Irish mule, Long Island, and amaretto sour and got a turkey club, French dip , and wings and everything was so delicious. So thank you Sire for a great time I will be coming back 100/10

Zacatecas is a family owned, authentic, traditional Mexican style restaurant, and they've been open since 1969. You know this place is good because they close at 3pm everyday and they stay in business. We ordered 2 Large Menudos and 1 Shredded Beef Taco and I did find the pricing very steep. It was almost $50. The menudo, alone, was $19 each. The menudo is full bodied and rich in flavor. This is one that actually doesn't need a lot of lemon because of that. It includes the menudo spices, oregano, lemon, cilantro, onions, and corn tortillas. I can make 2-3 meals out of the portion, so it's definitely shareable. This was the 1st time I was absolutely disappointed in the shredded beef taco (due to packaging). We got it to go and they wrapped it in foil and placed it between two hot bowls or menudo. By the time I got home, the cheese was melted and the lettuce was completely wilted. It made it almost inedible. If you dine in, they actually give you hot mole sauce to enjoy with your chips and salsa but if you get it to go, they charge you. I don't understand that but that's how it's always been. This restaurant also offers catering and can host events up to 150 people. Something to keep in mind if planning a party or event. The ambiance is perfect of an evening event. With the exception of my shredded beef taco, this remains one of my favorite Mexican food spots

It was definitely on the dry side; I think if they used a different cut or cooked it a bit less, it would have been perfect. I really loved that it came with fideo; it was such a fun comfort food to enjoy before the main dish. All in all, I wouldn't come back on my own, but I'd be open to trying something else if a friend wanted to go.
