The service you receive when calling into the Cloverdale location is horrible. Tells you they are booked, no opportunity for next available service. Do they even want the business? I work across the street, more than willing to give my business to them, but they don't seem interested. When I have gone to get work done, the work has been adequate. read more

My wife brought our mini van in because of a bad sound coming from the front tire. They looked at it for about an hour and told her she needed a new wheel bearing. the cost would be $1800. We had a second mechanic look at it and he told her the sound was due to a cracked rim, he told her to buy 4 new rims which he found for her at a wrecker, she bought 4 rims for $200, she then took the van to Action tires in Surrey and the man there installed all 4 and verified that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the wheel bearing. The sound is completely gone and the van drives great now. Thank god she did not trust thier opinion as it would have been a complete waste of money. read more

Wanted $40 to check faulty TPMS that they installed. Twice bitten there. No TRUST whatsoever with this location. I wanted the TMPS changed. Not looked at to say it's ok just like the last cal tire said along with 2 other REPUTABLE shops told me it's NOT COMPATIBLE. I'm a customer not an idiot like they portray me as. I had this awesome experience with a store and a very bad and bad experience with two other stores. I drive a van that's our single car for the family and as usual I visually check my tires every day for proper inflation. Just before leaving for work I felt that my rear right tire was kind of bulged out due to lack of pressure. I left for work and I didn't feel much on the steering as for any drag or unevenness. During my lunch break I checked it again and the deflation was really noticeable. I was kind of panicky as the place I work is an industrial zone and no tire repair whatsoever was close by. I googled the nearest place and it was like 15mts away. I decided to wait till I left from work and get some place on the way home. I searched up again and found couple of them but they all close at 5pm. I decided to leave an hour early to catch up to their timing. Reached the first place at 4:05pm (KAL TIRE at hwy 10 and 180 street in Surrey) and they still had 2 hours to close and had 6 empty bays with no vehicles in it. Went inside and checked with the reception, a lady and guy was standing at the counter and was very reluctant to offer me service with no cars in and 6 bays totally empty. They told me politely that they have only one technician and he was busy doing something else, really even though polite I found it very hard to believe. On my way out I asked them you have roughly 2 hours to close and all your service bays are empty, really you don't have any means to service me!!! I left and headed straight to Applewood KIA in Langley where I bought the van and was just 4 kms away from this place. Checked in with reception and he took the request no matter what. It was close to their closing time but he patiently took my request and decided to check it out. He saw the tire and saw that there was couple of curb scrapes and rubber pealing off. He told me we will have to replace the tire, cause it's roughly 45000 kms in we would have to change 2 of it both right side would have to be changed. He gave me quote of about $620 for two tires including fitment and alignment. I knew then and there he didn't have much idea about it so I decided to go elsewhere. My next stop was OK TIRE in Langley in Fraser highway and 198 street and it was already 5pm and they close at 6pm. The lady at the front desk was courteous and asked me what I am there for and I gave her the request and she somehow squeezed me in to the job list after consulting with the senior technician. He without any hesitation said yes. I should have noted down the names of both people who interacted with me. It was just outright the best service that too towards the close of the day. Within 20 minutes I was on my way home for just $40 on the bill. It was just a screw that created all this headache. (No tire replacement required, no waiting time or come back later) that was an awesome experience from Mr. Clayton Delaney's OK TIRE. Excellent job and awesome customer service you guys. They also polished my tires and cleaned the rims. I will surely be coming back for any kind of tire related matters. read more

I've been coming to this Kal Tire for years. Always professional and courteous service. One slight misunderstanding today, however, with regard to having a new tire put on (made an appointment for installation for this afternoon over the phone and I think the rep assumed I had meant I'd be coming in to just pick up the new tire - but why on earth would I need an appointment for that I don't know. Again, a misunderstanding and definitely not indicative of how they operate) but overall still good. They were awfully busy this morning; assuming lots of people getting snow tires swapped out, and I think that may have contributed to it. Spoke with the manager later as I was a bit upset at having to leave work early to make this appointment only to be turned away, and he offered to waive the installation fee. The counter rep was very nice, as was the manager. I chalk it up to a misunderstanding and nothing more. Their consistent level of service trumps a hiccup for sure. UPDATE (and for some reason the option to "Update Review" is not available so I'm just editing... sorry.) Originally 4 stars; updated to 5. I went in this morning to get the doughnut swapped out for the replacement tire. Brad (the manager) was there, and again, nothing but friendly, courteous service from the start. He acknowledged the minor mishap and did not simply brush me off like many management types can do in a challenging situation. The exchange was anything but combative; in fact, it was quick and professional, and I could not have asked for anything more. Plus, the installation was done in record time. For many years I have not done business with any other Kal Tire except this location, and with the exception of a *very* minor case of crossed wires, it has been 100%. Truly appreciate the stellar service; will continue to come back. read more

I had a vehicle from an auto body shop that needed to be realigned after an ICBC claim. I called and asked if they could switch out my snow tires to my regular tires. They confirmed it was fine, I dropped my tires off. I come back the next day to pick up my car from the auto body shop and the regular tires weren't on. I went back to Kal Tire and saw my tires sitting in the corner, I asked them what happened and they had no idea who I was-I spoke to the same guy the day before. He said he didn't think he would have anytime for me, even though I confirmed they would do it when the car was initially there. He ended up scheduling me in and I waited an hour total. I appreciated that he fit me in, but they are so unorganized there. This isn't my first negative experience. read more

Great service. I had a nail in my tire, brought it in with no appointment and they repaired it, no charge, and I was in and out in well under 30 minutes. I will be back when it's time for new tires again. Thank you! read more

I have given this kal tire several chances to work on my cars .I can honestly say never again will I let them touch any of my cars . First time they screwed up putting the oil plug in properly, it fell out the next day when I was driving on the freeway. Second time I took car in.I told them it intermittently wouldn't start I said it needed a starter but the thought it was the wiring so after screwing around with the wires they charged me $450.00 and didn't fix anything. They told me the starter was 500 more. Last one took it to them to have a screw removed from my tire ,they said the rim was bent and they would try and hammer it back as they felt it might not seal $35 bill. Next day flat tire again took it back they said need a new rim $70. so I left the car over night they put rim and old tire back on then they say oh your tire is no good . A new tire will cost $180.00 to install . so I said ok do it . I go to pay now they tell me the hubcap doesn't fit the rim , I can buy 1 that fits but doesn't match . I'm done just leave it without 1. I wasted probably 3 hrs waiting in the shop . Better Business is my next contact. One truly pissed off customer. Steve Rice. read more

Near the end of October 2018, I took a trailer tire in to be replaced. We agreed on the price plus $20.00 for mounting. When I asked if this included balancing, they said they don't normally balance trailer tires and it would be another $15.00 to balance it. Later I found the same tire at Country tire Langley for the same price and no charge for mounting and balancing. Kal Tire will never get my business again. read more
