Husband had said the keyword of "alternator," which their service manager honed in on. I made certain he knew, when dropping off the car, as well as when he spoke to my husband that I work at a wholesaler for alternators and starters, and could have the part delivered at no charge whatsoever. They said absolutely not, proceeded to charge us for $450+taxes for a part that I could've had for free, bought it from a company that MY company actually supplies, ALSO RELAYED to them by us. Ridiculous. Wouldn't listen to reason, never will go back to them. They are scammers. Extremely unfortunate as I would absolutely love to support a small business in my own community, but yet... I have to deal with folks like these. Look at your bill carefully, you can question it, but they will probably still end up scamming you out of hundreds of dollars.

My conclusion: I was impressed at this shops overall quality and proffessionalism! My work was on time on price and done with sufficient quality parts to make me walk away smiling. I highly recommend booking an appointment for work and I am sure you should be happy with it once you get it back. I have seen and driven by this place for years thinking is was an east indian place (not that that is a big deal) but i was very please to see its actually dutch I think and the mechanics are very meticulous and old world knowledgable about cars. They know their stuff and are very good at it. Every shop has its days where nothing they do can please a tough customer, but I think these guys are totally worth my 5 stars and I will be back soon with my other car for some more rarher pricy work, since they have proved to me they know how to do it right and for a good price.

After over $5,000 and about 7-10 visits in approximately 6 months, I drove my UNSAFE, known snd admittedly by AJ the owner, jeep home with a broken axel u joint. Caused by their lack of knowledge and ability while replacing my ball joints and tie rids. My vehicle was sent to a steering and alignment specialist, after multiple visits to Visscher pau, due to a severe shake in the steering after their shoddy repairs. The specialist told me they used cheap ball joints that were not jeep appropriate. He put new castors and helped lessen the dangerous steering issue. And a week later found that the axel u joint had lost a piece that caused the joint to become dislodged. Secondly, they failed to fix an issue with my cooling system that again I had to return to their shop 6-7 times for. They replace multiple things (temp guage and thermostat, etc) but with a significant leak I returned again and they stated they found nothing wrong. Even though Kim, the receptionist, looked under my jeep with me and saw coolant spewing from EVERYWHERE, which she later denied. After the FINAL 2 days in their shop, and again NOTHING fixed, along with the broken and extremely dangerous to drive as stated/admitted by AJ the owner. I drove it home with NO coolant along with the broken axel u joint . Which they refused to fix

I've been coming to this Kal Tire for years. Always professional and courteous service. One slight…read moremisunderstanding today, however, with regard to having a new tire put on (made an appointment for installation for this afternoon over the phone and I think the rep assumed I had meant I'd be coming in to just pick up the new tire - but why on earth would I need an appointment for that I don't know. Again, a misunderstanding and definitely not indicative of how they operate) but overall still good. They were awfully busy this morning; assuming lots of people getting snow tires swapped out, and I think that may have contributed to it. Spoke with the manager later as I was a bit upset at having to leave work early to make this appointment only to be turned away, and he offered to waive the installation fee. The counter rep was very nice, as was the manager. I chalk it up to a misunderstanding and nothing more. Their consistent level of service trumps a hiccup for sure. UPDATE (and for some reason the option to "Update Review" is not available so I'm just editing... sorry.) Originally 4 stars; updated to 5. I went in this morning to get the doughnut swapped out for the replacement tire. Brad (the manager) was there, and again, nothing but friendly, courteous service from the start. He acknowledged the minor mishap and did not simply brush me off like many management types can do in a challenging situation. The exchange was anything but combative; in fact, it was quick and professional, and I could not have asked for anything more. Plus, the installation was done in record time. For many years I have not done business with any other Kal Tire except this location, and with the exception of a *very* minor case of crossed wires, it has been 100%. Truly appreciate the stellar service; will continue to come back.

I feel they were honest, and were not trying to make the most money out of the job, but rather wanted me as the customer to be happy with the overall experience. When I chose the least expensive option, they still treated me like a valued customer. They completed the job on time, and within budget. I don't usually write reviews, but I feel their customer service and quality of work was so exceptional, I wanted to make sure to let others know about them. I will absolutely use them again if needed, in fact I won't go anywhere else now, and will refer all my family and friends to them as well. Wilf's has had my car for 4 weeks. They are doing work under warranty. They continue to stall…read moregiving excuses that they are waiting for parts. I have a Ford Escape, there is no way it takes this long to order a part. If we don't call them, we don't hear anything. I would take my car somewhere else but we have coverage there and it would costs us a fortune to get it fixed elsewhere and they know it. They won't even give me a courtesy car. Other than going to the Better Business Bureau, I do not know what do. I will never use them again. They said they look after their customers, no they do not.
