They have a lot of indoor space with natural light. The servers were also very accommodating. I will definitely be back to try the French toast and the basque cheesecake

The menu is filled with typical diner options but with upgraded twists. My partner had hash browns and a biscuit. Both were homemade. The biscuit was flaky and served with butter and jam. I had the loaded breakfast biscuits which were incredible. Flaky biscuit, hash browns, homemade sausage, over easy eggs, Caramelized onions, and BACON JAM!! Everything was perfect but the kicker was the slightly sweet and sour bacon jam which added an amazing depth of flavor. The service was great and friendly with plenty of tables. They even have a full baking kitchen for all desserts, breads, and biscuits. Check out Unconventional Diner if you're in DC.

Ordering online is relatively easy and every time I've done it my salad(s) have been ready when I arrive. I like the variety of toppings and options they offer. I do wish I could switch out one type of protein for another without being charged (for example, I'd rather have grilled chicken on the Asian chicken salad over the breaded chicken) and I wish the salad dressings were slightly bolder, but overall the salads are tasty and fresh. The service has also been fantastic every time I've gone. Most recently, the online ordering platform was glitching a bit and I accidentally ordered two of the same salad instead of two different ones. I went to pick it up, and the employee did ask to confirm I wanted 2 of the exact same things. When we realized what happened, he made my husbands salad and let me keep both of mine. I offered to pay for his salad since it was my error, but they were gracious and let me take all 3 salads for the price of 2. I really appreciated how well the employee handled the situation - he could told me "too bad so sad" or grumbled when I asked to fix it, but he didn't. He solved the problem with a smile on his face. I'll definitely keep coming here. I love a good salad and the service makes it even better.

The sandwich I got on my first visit was really good and exactly what I was hoping for. I ended up going back a few days later and ordered the chicken parm, thinking it would be another sandwich. It actually came as a salad instead. On the in-store menu it looked like it was listed under sandwiches, so I'm not sure if it was user error or just a menu layout issue, but it's something to double check when ordering. That said, the chicken parm itself was still good, I just wasn't expecting it on a salad. Overall, the food quality is there, just make sure you're ordering exactly what you want. Also, they're on InKind, so definitely take advantage of that if you use it. Don't feel forced to order from the kiosk, you do have the option to order from the front.

Truly impressive. I ordered through the kiosk, so I can't really comment much on customer service. They just called my name when it was ready, and everything ran smoothly, so no issues there. I am already planning my return because that buffalo caesar wrap is calling my name next. If it tastes anything like that turkey club, I already know I'll be back again.

The build a bowl concept is not hip anymore. The basics are there to make it work with Indian food, but the execution wasn't. I had an option for a greens or grains bowl but their salad looked weak so I went with quinoa, which is not exactly Indian but is good. I ended up with paneer; their veggie option was potato and cauliflower which is neither good nor high in protein. The paneer was a respectable portion, but the overall bowl was a bit weak, when you consider that you only get to add one vegetable (out of two choices), and a few smaller fixins at the end. I appreciated that they offer a chai with oat milk, which was pretty good. The food just didn't get to what I wanted in terms of variety of options. A fast casual Indian place should have three different dals, various breads and street foods, and a whole lot more than two vegetables.
