We celebrated my BFF's Birthday at Ka'ana Kitchen by Andaz at Wailea. Our server John and the staff were excellent!! The service is just amazing. The food was extremely delicious with such flavors. The deserts also was amazing. The view from where we sat overlooking the ocean to see the sunset. I fully recommend this place and we will be coming back.

Ambiance spot on, food was amazing and staff prompt and efficient. The only problem was the noise level, not from the open air kitchen but the guests, very distracting.

    Cheers :)

We were on vacation, a mini escape from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, staying at the lovely Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort. This fine dining overlooks the infinite pool deck. Even on a busy night, with no reservations, we were promptly seated at a table with the absolute BEST ocean view! There's something so peaceful about the tradewinds blowing gently, hearing the ocean in the distance, and enjoying dinner under the sparkling stars. Love, love, love it! Our server was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We both ordered our own scallop dish with gnocchi. He suggested a crisp white wine which paired excellently with our dinner. As you can see from the picture, our scallops were large and luscious. Cooked to perfection, this had marvelous taste and texture. If you don't eat pork, you can ask for the roasted pork bits on the side. Gnocchi was tender and great with the delicious sauce. So good, would certainly come back to order that! For dessert, we shared the chocolate torte. This was silky smooth and creamy. All together, this lovely dining experience made for some pretty sweet dreams that night LOL Thank you everyone at Ka'ana for a lovely dinner. We still tell everyone about the amazing food and service here! Totally coming back :)

We had the daily breakfast buffet, as well as the dinner offered! Ka'ana Kitchen, for both breakfast and dinner, exceeded expectations! A huge, heartfelt shoutout to our breakfast servers Lehua and Elijah, and our dinner server, John. The service at Ka'ana is so thoughtfully curated, the food was incredible, the ambience was romantic and picturesque, and the experience, every single day, was so special. We were celebrating our engagement and this was such a wonderful place to do so for both breakfast and dinner.

After a LONG day of traveling we didn't want to leave the hotel for dinner after checking in. We quickly made reservations here for dinner - Saturday. No problem and I honestly feel like you don't need reservations. We were seated by the balcony and the feel was very good. The view was amazing and the weather that evening was perfect. Ahi Caesar Salad (brioche furikake croutons + roasted garlic + pickled mustard seeds) - I wanted something lighter and healthier since we ate airport/airplane food all day. I think it's just a matter of perference but the taste was not what I expected. There was a big mustard/horse radish taste to the dressing and the croutons were made out of rye bread with made it sweet. I LOVE caesar salads and this was not one. My husband loved it though. Grilled cheese and fries - They had a kids menu which was very much appreciated. Unfortunately, this took a while to come out even after both my husbands and my dish came out. It was weird sitting there with our food when our kiddo didn't have theirs. Grilled cheese was ehh but the fries were really good and well seasoned. My husband got a fish dish. He enjoyed it. Service was okay but we loved the hostess. She was so sweet to my daughter. She got her a little flower. It was such a nice touch. A great welcome to our first night in Maui.

Service was great! Food was good. The watermelon salad and wagyu were delicious! The sweetness of the watermelon combined with feta, arugula and candied walnuts added a lot of flavor. The wagyu was prepared perfectly medium rare. The scallops were a bit salty, and the tuna tataki was just ok. There was no flavor from the jelly that was served with it and could not taste the any lilikoi.

We had an absolutely perfect night dining at Ka'ana's Chef's Table! It's a sampling of the restaurant menu, and they do a unique deal where each of us had a different dish for all but two courses, so we got to try so much! Awesome! Service was great, all around. Complementary valet parking was excellent. Chanel (like the perfume and the handbags) was such a delight at the hostess stand, as well as on the phone before our dinner. Wine Director and sommelier, Tia, was our server and she is stellar! She is incredibly knowledgeable about wine and we loved chatting through our experience. Honestly, the entire team in the kitchen took great care of us! The food was all amazing, we loved every dish. Beautiful presentation, and creative, delicious plates. Outstanding wine list! Good cocktails. Chef's Table or just regular dining, don't miss this place!

By far the best food in the area. We ate at all the Four Seasons restaurants and this place rocked as far as food taste and creativity. I search high and low to find a chef who creates dishes that are out of the box and full of flavor - this place did it, great job chef. It starts off with my alcohol free drink - the wireless super yummy. We had the Wagyu skirt steak app and the water melon salad. Both were awesome. The watermelon blew my mind, not a fan of watermelon but this had some really interesting flavors (ling hing mui - not sure but it was good). We then moved onto the Butter Red Crab and Seared Scallops. Both were absolutely delicious. The ambiance was awesome with an amazing sunset view. We listen to music from lounge down below. Service was really good - got slow at check out but view was amazing and it made it less painful. Definitely going back to this place next time we are here. Great job chefs!

MUST VISIT! After being disappointed from many of our favorite restaurants from prior visits, we decided to give Ka'ana Kitchen a try, and it is now our favorite restaurant in the area! Great service from Tia and we loved the ambiance with subtle (and fantastic) live music. Our family of 4 ordered 3 appetizers, 4 entrees and 2 desserts - it was the perfect amount of food. The portions are great and all the food was excellent. Our favorites included the octopus salad, fresh daily catch, and lilikoi parfait. We will be returning! Pictures include scallops & pork belly entree, fresh catch entree, lobster fettuccini entree and mushroom risotto entree.

This restaurant located in Andez hotel, maui. This is our 2nd time having breakfast buffet. We came 2 years ago when we stayed at Andez. No need to reserve, plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. I think we got the same server last time. Food + drink: Fresh green juice, coconut water, pinapple ,orange juice. Coffee - order with your server. You can also ask for milk substitution like almond or oat milk. They also have a la carte menu. Assortment of pastry + bread Pancake, mochi waffle, Malassada Fried noddle Omelette - you order with your server Bacon, sausage, scramble eggs and portugese sausage Fruits, deli meat and cheese station Grilled veggies and salad Overall good. It's just our server need help to bus our table or even with getting ketchup, coffee and creamer. Restroom: just right outside by the restaurant Breakfast buffet $49. 6am-11am Be careful, lots of small birds try to nibble from your plate if you seat at outdoor area.

Four stars for the food, two stars for the service. It took us over 10 min for our server to come acknowledge us once we'd been shown to our table. Which wouldn't be a big deal at a buffet but since you have to put in your egg orders with your server, it was annoying. They had a great variety of traditional breakfast foods and Hawaiian fare. I especially loved the mochi waffles!!! YUM. I'd come back, but maybe before they get too busy and spread too thin.

    Bloody Mary, breakfast buffet

Came for the breakfast buffet and omg.... One of the best I've been to! Huge selection of Portuguese sausage, mango chicken sausage, crispy bacon, pork belly, eggs, omelets, pork Bao buns, pastries, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, chia pudding, fresh fruit and vegetable juices.... And plenty more that I'm not remembering! The service here was also soo wonderful. The breakfast buffet is $50 per person, not including specialty drinks like matcha, lattes or cocktails of course but they are also available. We got bloody Mary's and loved them! Would definitely come back :)

Food was really good, very pricey though... I think it was worth the price . The tuna was so fresh and delicious. The fresh catch was delicious but maybe not as interesting as the other dishes. The desert was my favorite - we got two different deserts and both were incredible. 10/10 would come again

Overlooked Wagyu, including one end piece cooked to a crisp.

Do lattes come with the price of the breakfast buffet?

Yes. The various coffee/espresso (cappuccino, lattes, etc) drinks are within the beverage service included, in my experience.

I had Thai-Railway Fried Rice, which has diced, cooked NY steak chunks, in a bed of brown rice, as well as peas, carrots, scallions, Maui onions (yum!), with an egg over easy on top, with toasted onions. I dialed the spicyness at "medium". It was *perfect*! My wife had Pad Thai with chicken, and she left it at the default spicyness (medium), which ended up being too hot for her, but she soldiered on nevertheless enjoying the wonderful flavor. Perhaps because of the noodles and curry, the spiciness of the Pad Thai seemed much stronger than the Thai-Railway fried rice dish. Of course, we had leftovers and I'll probably end up eating hers, and she'll eat mine. The service was prompt, and the girl waiting on the tables was courteous, with a beautiful smile. The restaurant is deceptively roomy, seeming to be smaller from the outside, but once inside, it was quiet, clean, with comfortable chairs, clean tables, and large windows to enjoy some of Kihei's views (like today's gentle rain). As with most things these day on Maui, where everything comes in a shipping container, food costs are very noticable. Our meal, including thai ice tea and a soda, with a coconut ice-cream to finish it was about $44/person. Not cheap, but also not as bad as, say, Tommy Bahamas.

We opted for the Omakake (Tasting) Menu along with the Wine Pairing for each course. We knew it would be expensive (prices intentionally deleted), but we felt it would be a wonderful experience. We have eaten at Morimoto at Sea on several Holland America Line ships, including our recent cruise on HAL's Nieuw Amsterdam that has a dedicated Morimoto Restaurant mid-ship on deck 11 -- those meals have always been fantastic. Back to last night. Disappointment #1 -- The wine for the first course arrived 5 minutes before Course 1, the Toro Tartare. The wine had lost most of its coolness, and intended flavor and aroma, by time the dish arrived. Disappointment #2 -- The Intermezzo dish, the Sudachi cucumber sorbet was a bit sour. Other intermezzi that I have had were a slightly sweet, perhaps lime or lemon sorbet. AND they typically were paired with a splash of champagne or a sparkling brut (why not include the Morimoto Dream Rosè?) Disappointment #3 -- Course 5, the Surf & Turf, was bad! The very small portion of the Wagyu beef was Medium Well to Well Done and appeared to have been burnt over a flame. When we told our server, his comment was, "That's why I recommended the Japanese A5 Wagyu [at an additional $80 per person!]." Sorry burnt beef if burnt beef, no matter what the price. Training/Expectations seem low: Where do they get their water glasses? On the discount table at Walmart? These two are different styles on the same table; at least our two were the same style, although different from those two. And the dessert spoons -- two different styles given to us. I expect (and I am sure others also do) a much higher standard at this famous Iron Chef restaurant. DELIGHTS: Course 1 - The Toro Tartare was so tasty. We are used to a tartare to be chopped, perhaps even finely chopped, but this one was made into a puree. The toppings (caviar and rice crackers were tasty, and the rice crackers looked like little sweet ice cream toppings. Course 2 - Red Snapper Carpaccio was liked by someone who does not normally like raw fish. The light sauce added a subtle dash of flavor, and we were able to roll the pieces with chop sticks and heat an entire price at once. Course 3 - Lobster Takoyaki. The three "lobster balls" were served warm, and they were very tasty. A large piece of lobster in each roll was a true delight. Course 4 - Sushi. The 5 pieces of nigiri were Chu Toro, Hamachi, Salmon, Campachi, and Big Eye Tuna. There was a light smear of wasabi between the fish and the rice; I had already asked for more (and hotter) wasabi that I mixed with the soy sauce. We brought a few pieces of the sushi back to the condo for a later snack. Course 6 -- the dessert was so-so in my opinion. Sharon liked it, so it was probably just my tastebuds and not the actual dessert. We had planned to go back to Morimoto Maui next week for a special Wagyu and Wine pairing, but based on last night's Wagyu failure, we have cancelled the reservation. I hope that our next dinner at a stateside Morimoto restaurant (probably Morimoto Napa in 4 weeks) is a much better experience for us.

It has become part of our story, and every visit continues to feel just as meaningful and memorable as the first. The setting is absolutely stunning. Between the beautifully designed interior and the outdoor seating overlooking the beach in front of the Four Seasons, it creates one of the most romantic date-night settings on Maui. The food never misses the mark. We started with an English pea soup that was exquisitely seasoned and beautifully balanced. I followed with the Broiled Miso Marinated Walu, tender, delicate, mildly sweet, served with sesame sauce and crisp cucumbers that added the perfect contrast. The rack of lamb was juicy, tender, and cooked perfectly. Dessert was unforgettable: the "Spikey Lemon" calamansi cake with yuzu curd and crunchy meringue, plus freshly baked donuts that arrived crispy, warm, and drenched in a divine chocolate sauce. Pure heaven. But what truly sets Spago apart, and what makes each visit unique, is the front-of-house staff. Over the years we've been lucky enough to be served by both Jeb and Mikayla. Jeb was also our waiter on our wedding night, which made seeing him again feel especially meaningful. He has a rare gift: he makes guests feel genuinely special. His knowledge of the menu is remarkable, he reads the flow of a meal perfectly, and he is charming, funny, and effortlessly attentive without ever being overbearing. What keeps us coming back isn't just the food or the atmosphere. it's the impeccable hospitality. One moment we'll never forget: on our wedding night, after I mentioned I was Austrian, Jeb surprised us with a Kaiserschmarrn. It was unexpected, thoughtful, and one of those gestures that instantly lets you know you're more than just another table. You're valued. Thank you to the front-of-house staff, thank you to the kitchen, and thank you, Wolfgang Puck, for creating a place that has become such an important part of our lives. We'll keep coming back.

The staff are kind, friendly and even offered area activity recommendations. The ocean view is incredible-- it can be enjoyed best on the patio, and from many of the indoor tables. The buffet includes unlimited coffee, tea, juices (love the POG juice), coke products (you can ask for a to go cup on your way out! I recommend asking for ice)-- as well as a made to order omelet. Then there is the entire buffet. As a vegetarian, I had plenty of options. Loved the avocado toast bar-- it was so flavorful! I loved the scones were different flavors each day. I eat eggs, so I sometimes had the scramble, sometimes a veggie omelet (I liked to top it with parmesan cheese from the avocado toast bar). I enjoyed the breakfast potatoes (they changed them up a bit each day), and the variety of salads. They even had a marinaded tofu! The place is kid friendly. There is a parking garage.

Humble Market Kitchen feels like a restaurant that knows it has a captive audience and has stopped trying very hard. The food was uninspired, generic, and significantly overpriced for what was delivered. Nothing was particularly bad, but almost nothing was memorable either. Breakfast was especially underwhelming. Skip the buffet. The eggs were watery and soupy, and the "Hawaiian sausage" turned out to be little more than sliced hot dogs. For a resort of this caliber in a destination known for incredible food, it felt surprisingly low effort. Service was probably the strongest part of the experience, but even that was average at best. I'd call it a 6 out of 10. Friendly enough, but not the level of hospitality you'd expect given the prices and setting. The disconnect is especially noticeable because the Wailea Beach Resort itself is fantastic. We genuinely loved our stay and would absolutely return to the property. That's what makes the restaurant so disappointing. It feels like a business operating inside a great resort rather than an extension of the resort experience. If you're staying at the Wailea Beach Resort, do yourself a favor and explore the many excellent dining options around Wailea instead. Maui has too many great restaurants to spend your vacation settling for this one.
