This was my second time go karting and K1 made it pretty easy! The facility is super clean, check in/waivers are easy to follow and staff is decently nice. There was a lot of confusion on when our party would be racing, we had someone from our party check every ten minutes. We were initially told an hour and a half wait, then it was 45 minutes, and then it felt totally random. If you don't have a party of eight, there will be other racers with you. My complaint was I wish they matched racers with groups a little better. We had 4 teenagers race with our group and they were obnoxious the entire time and incredibly rude. Staff didn't do anything to correct them either so it was a little annoying. Their food/drink bar is pretty nice with some good options on it. They also have some arcade games off to the side of the track if you're trying to kill time.

    Awesome time!!!

Had a great experience after I really thought it wasn't going to be good. The Manager Matthew Slama made the whole experience extremely pleasurable. My kids and I had a great time and we will definitely be back. Matthew definitely needs to be recognized for his amazing ability to deescalate unhappy customers and make everyone happy. Definitely an asset to good establishment. He made it where I wasn't going to come back but now I definitely will be back. Thank you Matt

K1 Speed is a perfect place for a bithday party or a fun night out with friends or family members. From my last visit back which was back years ago this place is completely remodeled. No more gas, all the cars are electric. No noise, no fumes. The place is clean, huge, tons of room to sit and lounge. Arcade games, large rooms for corporate events or a celebration. Food (pizza, chicken wings) and drinks for purchase are available, tons of parking.

My daughter wanted us to check this out. Great spot for a few hours. Three races was $70 / per person. Each race is about 10 minutes long. Great place for a birthday party or just to hangout for a bit. They do offer a small military discount. We will come back in the future.

I kept a kit for K1. For years. NOT WORTH IT. LOL!

Here is my experience with K1 tonight. Hint, NOT GREAT. Last time, I brought a dozen or so people here. It was my wife's 35th birthday. We had fun. A lot of fun. Thank you. Great experience. So it's tonight. I want to go bowling because we have gift cards to a place in San Marcos from Costco. But my feet hurt. We wanted to go to this place near ABC Vet in San Marcos but they are closed; perhaps, permanently. Alright. Like spending a few dollars on entertainment at Grand Slam. Owner is a cool dude. But I want something bigger tonight. Some place called Joes in Oceanside, their games don't work half of the time, we have personally experienced on several nights, and they are super sticky/dirty. Wife is a clean person and doesn't like the uncleanliness there. No-go there. Dave and Busters in Oceanside or Carlsbad Mall, not sure which city, but they are great. But you kind of get sucked in when you get there. Lines for drinks. Lines for food. You end up waiting a lot trying to have fun. Not feeling that tonight I want some light entertainment before we come back home to the community spa. It's my 39th birthday. I have a little more say in what we do. We thought about the shooting range, can't remember the name, the place in San Marcos. Too much money for tonight. And we want to take my Mom next time. We'll wait for another day. Brainstorming, my brain clicks. I said, "I GOT IT!" I'm searching online for K1 hours. REALLY HATE SHOWING UP TO A PLACE THAT IS CLOSED. Hey, they are open! I told my wife she'd figure out what I was thinking before I could finish understanding if K1 was open. Saturday night, shows, open. LET'S GO! Now here is why the post is so long. I felt so clever. I kept our helmet wraps/skins or whatever from last time. I think they are $5 or something. No biggie. Cleaned them, again last time, dried, put in a bag. And my card! Still have it! AND! We were given a $5 off coupon. THIS IS GONNA' BE GREAT! [Narrator insertion - it was not great]. I WAS GRINNING when we left. My dumb little K1 kit bag was FINALLY going to pay off. We roll up. Place is open. Seems to be amply staffed with employees. Not too many people surprisingly. Good vibes. We get in line. No one acknowledges us. We wait. We get closer. Again, NO ONE IS IN LINE. My wife and I sit there waiting to, well, open our wallets. We'll pay to play! We git it! K1 is a local business and we are ok with supporting it! The employees behind the counter are busy wrapping/unpacking stuff. Can't tell. But they are definitely not concerned with our presence. No big deal. Saturday night. Go cart racing place. Not expecting special treatment. It's like a dead zone for some reason. Oh, they have a silent auction. Nice. Even joke to my wife about putting us down for the Kobe auction for my wife's brother in LA. Like half joking though. We were considering it. "Are you new here?" Umm, yes. "Did you sign in?" Umm, no, where? "Go to the computer and log in." Alright. I'll do that. I'd like to pay to race but if I need to go somewhere else and fill out information to give K1 my money, ok, I can do that. I love racing. And have had great times prior. So we find the computers and we log in. We are actually happy that the information system remembered us. So we go back to the line. Note, there is no one in line this entire time. Still. We wait again. Employees are really focused on either unboxing or boxing stuff behind the counter. I can't tell. "WELL IT WILL BE AN HOUR OR MORE IF YOU WANT TO RACE." I really want to use non-nice words here but I decline. So...I searched the hours before coming. To make sure. Don't wanna' be the idiot showing up to a closed place. I walked in and checked. I was told to register to race. Cool. Kind of felt like we were being herded, but sure, businesses need those privacy policies in place for insurance. I get it. Did that. Got back in line. Do I clock in at this point? AN HOUR? WHY DIDN'T THE WEBSITE SAY THIS. WHY WERE WE NOT TOLD THIS BEOFORE SIGNING IN? An hour or more. No guarantee either. Oh man, words, would like to use some. There were about thirty go carts. EMPTY. Small line. Probably like, twelve customers there. Maybe twelve employees? I assume the business owner(s) is reading this. You can find me by my name and look at the time stamp in your logs. I'm trying to objective, but you can look at the the video and determine for yourself. I hope the silent auction benefited something. But next time, K1, when you rent your place out, let the people know before we waste our, as an adult, precious birthday time. I got dibs to go here and you burned me. I'm glad business development/event planning booked that event. But put it on your website next time. Let us know when we walk in. Don't try to hide it. But for fun words, don't have open hours on Google, don't ask me to get out of line, when there is no one, go do a task, then come back, and then make me figure out that you ARE RENTED OUT.

The other suggestion - is a stronger margarita slush - it was premixed but i honestly think it didnt have any alcohol at all. Definitely will book our next team bonding when we return in July. We were finally let in and checked in, where we were then told they no longer had gloves (which come with the package) to provide for us. Again, no big deal and they compensated with t-shirt instead. We went to the briefing where they teach you the rules of the trak, flag meanings, and how to operate the kart. Pay attention as this is important to maintaining track safety. When you take these karts on track man they are fun! This is not your normal K1 ladies and gentlemen! Despite these karts not at their fullest potential, coming into these corners and pushing yourself to use the entirety of the track is so fun! Each and every session the staff made us feel welcomed and we enjoyed the practice, quali, and grand prix grid race! One note, I was told there would be 30-45 minute breaks in between sessions. This was not the case. Our sessions were separated by 10, maybe 15 minute breaks which ultimately led to exhaustion and we were unable to really hang out in between the sessions. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our time and will be booking another private event.

Instead, it turned into one of the most uncomfortable and disappointing customer service experiences I've had in a long time. The staff was unbelievably rude from the moment we arrived. Zero hospitality, zero professionalism, and absolutely no effort to make guests feel welcome. Isabella at the front desk, openly talked about our group behind our backs, laughing, giggling, and staring like a bunch of high school kids instead of employees representing a business. It was immature, disrespectful, and honestly embarrassing to witness. Coming from Los Angeles, I'm used to staff at least pretending to care about customers. Here, every interaction felt cold, hostile, and uncomfortable. Dead stares, rude attitudes, and an overall vibe that made it feel like guests were a burden instead of paying customers. If it weren't for the number of people who drove long distances to attend with me, I would have walked out before even getting on the track. To make things worse, being forced to purchase an annual license on top of the experience just added insult to injury. Safe to say this will be our first and last visit. What should have been one of the best days of the year with the people most important to me ended up being overshadowed by an incredibly unprofessional staff and a horrible customer experience.

We originally wanted to all drive together, but were told that adults and kids can't drive at the same time since the cars are different sizes and it's for safety reasons--which is completely understandable. Because of that, my kids were the only ones who rode this time. It's also important to know that it's not based on age, but on height when determining who can drive, which I thought was helpful. The staff did a great job explaining everything, especially the flags and what they mean, which made us feel comfortable right away. We went during the week, and it wasn't crowded at all, so my kids actually had the track to themselves, which made it even more special. One thing we really loved was that they received a printout of their lap times. It made the experience feel more personal and something they could take pride in. They also got to choose a head wrap in their favorite color and keep it, which was a nice touch. The only downside is that you have to purchase a membership in addition to paying for the laps. However, the membership is valid for a year and can be used at this location or other locations, which helps justify the cost. Overall, it was a great experience, and my kids had a blast!

And just FYI, I a lot of people kept leaving the park upset. But for them, they didn't purchase wristbands. We waited till after 5 PM hoping that as the shift changed employees would come and open up all of the rides, but that never happened. I was hoping to get my money back for the wristband, but because the employee at the counter was so aggressive I was honestly afraid to go up and ask for a refund. I'm hoping Belmont Park will make this right and provide my daughter and I with an opportunity to return to Belmont Park at no charge to us and be able to get on the rides.

Overall a very nice theme park, with lots of themed spaced, but minus 1 star because the adult…read moretickets are so pricey and there's not much the adults can do. We went here for one day and it did not feel like enough time to do everything, which was ok for us since we didn't see a need to try ever ride and experience everything they had to offer. Definitely for younger kiddos. We took our 4.5 year old who enjoyed the experience, but it could have been any kids theme park as we don't know much about legos. The experience might be more enhanced if you and your family are lego fans. The main park has some water play areas, so if it's a hot day your kids might enjoy the water (so I'd recommend you bring swim clothes and a change of clothes!) even if you didn't get tickets for the main water park.

I don't think it's worth the price. The park is small and felt like a dying park. On a busy holiday…read moreweekend it was pretty empty. Parking was $60, the unlimited photo pass was $150 and the tickets were on par with Disneyland prices. I don't recall what I paid for fast pass. Fast pass scanners didn't work today. Half the rides that said scan the QR code to get your photos didn't work, even after visiting the photo desk. So those were 2 costs you could save on. Of the restaurants that were supposed to be sit down and not just buffet (there's 3), only 1 was open today. It just felt like a sad overgrown fairgrounds at best. On a holiday weekend you'd think there would be a lot of staff out, too. It felt very lean on staffing and they definitely did not care to even smile. From parking to ordering food, you were pushed to scan QR codes. If you're used to Disney's cast member experience, these people are the opposite. They do not care and they show it.
