Squid bibimbap

The bibimbap came out SIZZLING on the stone pot. I loved the variety of steamed veggies and the grilled squid had a great texture. The egg was also fried perfectly. Don't let the exterior fool you. The inside is clean and warm with Korean karaoke playing in the background. Although the food didn't come out fast, the restaurant is pay at the counter. Parking is convenie

I'll get straight to the point. FRESH, AUTHENTIC Korean cuisine. Located in Peabody next to the 7/11 on Lynn st , K restaurant really is a must try. Yes , some have said it's a little pricey BUT it worth every penny. Cozy interior, order at counter style so you pick where you want to sit and they have on site parking which is a plus in MY book. Check out my pictures of what I had , amazing food, GO TRY.

Tofu Jigae, Korean Pancakes

Oh how I missed Korean food. This warmed my heart and soul that tofu Jigae. Also there's free water and tea which is very nice and generous!

We did dine in on a weekday night and the food was good. They were busy with mostly take out orders and a few dine-ins. You order the food at the counter and they'll bring the food to the table. They have self service hot tea and water. We got the Korean vegetable pancake, chicken fried rice and bibimbap with beef bulgogi. The vegetable pancake was ok, it had more batter so it was more fluffy than crispy. The bibimbap was good. The sauce bottle is at the table so you can add as much as you would like. The fried rice was simple, but still good. They also give complimentary miso soup, however no other side dishes like most Korean restaurants. I would recommend it to anyone in the area and don't want to go far for good Korean food. The restaurant recently went under new management in the last year.

Very lovely restaurant with friendly staff. My boyfriend accidentally spilled water & staff was so quick to clean it up! It was a rainy day so the tofu soup was BEAUTIFUL. Perfect amount of spicy. Very fulfilling !! Kind of reminds me of a home cooked meal. Would come back again.

Kimchi fried rice. Good flavor and it has enough meat and kimchi in it

Not a big place, few tables but the food is good and service is decent. If you want to use restroom, you have to go around the back building and it's at the back of their kitchen. Can't go thru their kitchen

Very cute restaurant serving delicious Korean staples. You order and pay on a computer, and you can make modifications/requests as you order. There is unlimited tea and water available in the dining area and fantastically spicy hot sauce on every table. I had the fried dumplings and spicy BBQ pork without rice. Both were great!

K restaurant (north shore)

This review is for the area. Being Korean, I had an opportunity to have Korean food all over the place. Having Korean cuisines in LA, New York, Georgia, in Korea... Etc. Is it mind blowing epic Korean food? That is a flat out No. but if you are in the north shore area and craving some Korean food, this might be your spot. I think one of the best parts about this restaurant is that there's no frills, it's like a food court style Korean food. The kalibi soup, was well seasoned, I would have liked it a little bit less sodium infused, but I think for the general populace the seasoning was spot on. Also we had a order of the kalbi, it came out sizzling on a cast-iron plate. The seasoning was a bit on the sweeter side, but had a good healthy portion, and it was delicious. Final thoughts. It's definitely not the most amazing Korean food, but if you happen to be in the North Shore area and craving some Korean food. Particularly LA style kalbi, this might be the place to stop by.

Ask the Community - K Restaurant

Is it open for dine in now?

Yes! They just opened for dine-in and have also hired additional staff :)

Are they opening soon? I hope everyone is ok, great people, they have been closed for a little bit.

They had to close down for a while because of COVID, unfortunately. However, they're in good health and are back up and running again—and as excellent as ever! I definitely try to tip more generously now to help them during this reopening period… Read more

Is it byob?

You can not bring your own food or drinks here. Even if you purchase food from them they will not like you eating your own food in their dining area. That includes alcohol.

Do you tip?

Yes!

Are they attentive to allergies? I have a sesame allergy, including sesame oil

My son has a nut allergy and we told the waitress, she reviewed everything we ordered to ensure no nuts were in anything.

Is delivery available?

No delivery available, however, if you want takeout, you can order and pay online and then pickup and you don't have to wait the normal prep time of 20 minutes+

I would tell anyone that doesn't like incredibly fatty meat, or that likes their food cooked beyond medium rare to dine elsewhere. The hostess was friendly, we told her we had never been to the restaurant before, she quickly walked us thru the menu. Our waiter came by, we told him we had never been there before. We ordered various dishes, and plates of meat were dropped off. No explanation whatsoever. As he turned to leave, I said again, we'd never been there before. No insight into how best/long to cook anything. Every meat dish was incredibly fatty, like, 2/3rds fat. I placed meat on the grill, it cooked very slowly. I asked him to turn up the temperature as we liked our meats cooked well, so he turned the heat up. At one point he said he was going to swap out the grill-pan, and turned the heat down, while meats were still cooking. This was incredibly frustrating, I felt like food was taking forever to cook, and the longer I sat there staring at the meat, the more annoyed I got. It was all you can eat. We didn't finish our first order of 5 dishes we were so annoyed. It was not worth the money, it was an unejoyable experience. I've only been to a few self-cook Korean restaurants previously, and generally liked them. I think the staff needs to be more aware when someone asks for guidance, that they should try to be more engaged. I left angry, and still hungry.

The total was around $28. My food was bagged and ready in 10 minutes. I enjoyed some of my food in the food court before repacking the rest for later. The food I had was pretty good, including the bite sized pieces of spring rolls, seaweed rolls, and bulgogi mandu going well with the beef yakisoba noodles, which had vegetables, corn, chilled hard boiled egg, and soft beefs of marinated beef. The chicken katsu (lunch box) was crunchy outside with tender chicken strips topped with katsu drizzle, Asian slaw with a vinegar flavor, soft hot white rice, chilled egg slices, tomatoes, and grapefruit. Next time, I will have to order some Korean chicken tenders & fries, and the potato cheese corn dog,!

Whether it's for a family dinner or just a casual meal, this place never disappoints. The hibachi is a standout--every time I order it, I'm impressed by how fresh and flavorful the meats and seafood are. It's such a fun experience watching the chefs cook everything right in front of you, and the interactive element adds a lot of excitement to the meal. I've tried almost everything on the hibachi menu, and there's not a single dish I don't love. The combination of perfectly cooked proteins, fresh vegetables, and that signature hibachi flavor makes it a meal I always look forward to. The sushi is another highlight of this place. Every time I've ordered it, the fish has tasted incredibly fresh, and the rolls are always well-made and flavorful. Whether it's a classic like spicy tuna or something more creative from their specialty rolls, the sushi never fails to impress. It's clear that they prioritize quality, and it shows in every bite. I also appreciate how consistent they are--no matter how many times I visit, the sushi always tastes just as good as the first time I tried it. What really makes this place special, though, is how well it works for a family dinner. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the hibachi setup is especially great for kids. It's not just a meal--it's an experience. The chefs are entertaining, and the food is something everyone can enjoy, whether you're a fan of seafood, steak, or even just the fried rice and veggies. Plus, the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. That said, the only minor downside is that it can get pretty busy, especially on weekends. If you're planning to go during peak hours, it's a good idea to make a reservation, though even then, you might have to wait a bit. But honestly, the wait is worth it. The food, the experience, and the overall vibe make it a place I'll keep coming back to time and time again. Whether it's for the hibachi, the sushi, or just a fun night out with the family, this restaurant has earned its spot as one of my favorites.

I recently tried Blue Fin around 3:30pm for a late lunch. It wasn't overly busy when we arrived,…read morebut it was definitely starting to pick up. The dining room has a nice vibe -- modern, clean, and comfortable. It feels like a good spot for a casual date or catching up with friends. That said, the noise level builds quickly. Everyone was chatting, and you could easily overhear conversations without even trying. Service was genuinely great. Our server checked in consistently for water refills, cleared plates quickly, and asked if we needed anything -- but never felt overbearing. That balance is appreciated and made the experience smoother. One thing worth noting: some menu prices are higher than you might expect, especially since Google lists the average around $20-$30 per person. For some of the higher-priced items, photos on the menu would really help set expectations. The portions do help justify the entrée pricing somewhat, but the overall bill -- $110 for a late lunch for two -- was honestly higher than expected. We started with the spicy edamame. To make it spicy was a $2 upcharge, which felt unnecessary -- most places offer regular, sea salt, or spicy at the base price. That rubbed me the wrong way. For sushi, we ordered two pieces of unagi and two pieces of wagyu. The fish/meat to rice ratio was generous (see picture). The unagi sushi is something a sushi chef can't really mess up -- solid and as expected. The wagyu sushi, however, had a very intense char on top and was extremely fatty. Depending on your preference, that could be a plus or a bit overpowering. The spicy beef rice bowl was a very large portion -- honestly enough to split between two people. The onions had a nice crunch and weren't soggy, which I appreciated. The beef is shaved rather than sliced, and you can't choose how it's cooked. The spice level was faint, should have spice level indicators on items like this. I did feel like the dish was missing another vegetable element that could have elevated it. The chicken curry bento box came with a lot: two tempura shrimp, two deep-fried pork gyoza, one sweet potato tempura, sticky rice, and the curry chicken. The chicken was very tender. The curry had that strong, classic curry aroma and was well balanced in flavor. Nothing to rave about. Both meals came with miso soup and salad. The salad dressing wasn't for me; I prefer something tangy, and this one tasted more like pan juices from cooked meat. For dessert, we tried the vanilla crepe cake. It honestly tasted like tiramisu. If they offered a matcha version, that might have set it apart more. I wouldn't order it again. Overall, I'm glad we tried it and had the experience. The service and portion sizes stood out positively. However, for the price point, it's not a "must-return" spot for me, and not somewhere I'd immediately recommend off the top of my head when people ask.

Glad we made the visit after hearing from several people how good their food is. We will be coming back!
