The store owner was so friendly and adorable, you could easily see her passion and spirit in the lovely decor of the restaurant. The food was amazing and very generous portions. Healthy, delicious, with outstanding pride within the food and customer service. I would eat here every day if I could ! The owners are so kind! And they make effort into remembering what you prefer. They serve meals on hot stones, never tried, but it looks so awesome! Very family friendly ambiance. This place is amazing, you won't regret it. Truly a hidden gem in Everett, run by very nice people. I'm an avid fan of Korean food but since I stopped eating beef and pork (trying to eventually go vegan), I've missed Korean food-- they have multiple vegan "meat options. vegan chicken, jackfruit, and soy vegan beef. I did a build your own bibimbap bowl with the vegan beef and it was really yummy, also got a Vegan chocolate milkshake and it was super, the consistency and flavor was just like a regular milk milkshake. Interior was super clean. I highly recommend trying the food in the hot stone bowls. Will definitely be coming back!! read more

This is a cute little place to eat. You can build your own Bibimbap. You can do either a hot stone bowl which we chose or just a regular bowl. The hot stone bowl is really fun because the food continues to cook in it in front of you while you eat. First you pick your base of white, brown rice, or lettuce. Then your meats which has lots of options including vegan. I chose the bulgogi. Then you get to pick 5 toppings. They have a nice variety to chose from. Then they give you several sauces you can use in it. The food was amazing and really exceeded my expectations. Plus the hot stone bowls we're a fun experience. read more

Place was a little hole-in-the-wall. Has been multiple things before so I didn't think much of it. "What is here now?" My husband and I made it a point to stop by after seeing a post from a friend. We were confused when we walked in, but greeted by two friendly employees (possible owners?). They were so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and FRESH. Hence the name. We've been back multiple times since I originally drafted this and each time the food and service has been perfect. Spot on. We'll be back again I'm sure of it. read more

Absolutely incredible! The food is so good! I love that you get to completely customize your order! They have 3 vegan protein options which is AMAZING! I love how fresh everything is and how each topping pairs well with the rest! The people who run it are also just clearly wonderful people! They are so sweet! I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! OH! And dairy free milkshakes are impossible to find and they have them here! So good! I'm glad I don't live nearby because I would spend all my money here ha! So so so good! Also have options for meat eaters and gluten free! It's also really easy to make your dish super healthy if you are looking for that! read more

Honestly the most sincere owners ever! I came here 2x since we came from the climbing gym nearby. Briefly mentioned I was from California and when I came back the second time, she remembered! One of my friends was tearing up since they were leaving and she rushed out to give them a potato salad to cheer them up. BTW homemade potato salad was delish!! read more

Look at that steam! Crispy rice is the best. Don't mix things right away. Let the rice crisp up. It's great that this place is gluten free and has so many options for veggies. It is a complete meal. If you don't eat Korean food, this is a good place to start. The owner and staff are friendly and the place is clean and bright. We will be back to try out all the different options. read more

This ain't Panda Express. This is great food and it was fun to build our bowl. We chose the hot stone bowl. You get to choose type of rice, protein and toppings/veggies. We chose white rice, chicken, zucchini, kimchi, broccoli, shitake mushrooms, and pickled onions, The bowl comes to you very hot and still "cooking" . You also get four sauces that you can apply as you like. Bowl was large, delicious, unique, and hearty. Both of us ate every bite. Fun and tasty experience. Owners Extremely nice. read more

What a great concept! Came on a Monday night around 6:30 with two friends. Very small restaurant but no problem getting a table (around closing time, the place got a lot busier!). The person who helped us build our bibimbap bowls was SUPER friendly and helpful. She gave us samples of proteins, toppings, and even their house made dairy free soft serve, which is delicious! Once our bowls were assembled, she handed them back to the kitchen and just a few minutes later out come these raging hot bowls in wood boxes (to protect your hands). They sizzled for so long... like 20 minutes! We liked all the sauces but I did the spicy, which wasn't very spicy but had a good flavor. The best part is the rice against the stone bowl gets super crispy and caramelized. My only complaint was that I wish they had metal utensils to more easily scrape that delicious rice. By the end of the meal, my compostable fork was all melted on the tips! The meal in total was a LOT of food. I could barely finish it and was stuffed. But because we'd had a sample of that yummy soft serve, we got dessert anyway. They had three toppings, mango, raspberry, and strawberry. I had all three. They do have chocolate sauce for drizzling over the top as well. I thought the cost was appropriate for the freshness and uniqueness of the food. read more

Really great bibimbap! Love their cucumber salad and the option to add a fried egg on top, of course with wet yolk - yum! Their potato salad is unique and I get it every time. Only negative is their kimchi has no spice- maybe there's an option for mild or spicy but I didn't see it on DoorDash menu. read more

My coworker asked if I wanted Korean food. Initially I was hesitant since she is vegan and gluten free. But I said let's go. They do have meat options mainly just chicken and steak. The place is a little modern spot very few chairs but there was sitting when we went. At the counter there is kind of a bar that has all the items spread out. The girl was friendly she grabbed the stone bowl and filled it with white rice. They also have brown.rice.Then I picked my toppings and she took it to the back to heat. Took about 15 minutes in total from ordering to receiving my meal. When it came to the table it was hot . You can hear the rice searing underneath, the food on top was really hot so be careful. I may or may have not burned my tongue. The bowl was really good the ingredients were fresh and the crunchy seared rice is amazing! Try the tamarind soy sauce. The spicy sauce was kind of weak for me. Wish there was something hotter specially since its Korean. There is also vegan ice cream which was pretty good tasted almost the same. Not as creamy but the taste was on par. If you need a vegan/gluten free option and are in Everette I suggest you give it a try. read more

So excited to have a dedicated GF restaurant that also offers many vegan options. I've dined here four times in three days (do the math) and am excited to recommend this restaurant. You can do a to go bibimbap or a dine-in in a stone bowl. I've only eaten the to go option and it's delicious. The make line is in front of you so it goes quickly and they scoop as you order. You get one protein (jackfruit bulgogi and two meat options), white or brown rice, and five toppings. The toppings include kimchi, cucumber kimchi, edamame, carrots, egg, egg substitute (vegan), mushrooms, sweet and spicy melon and tofu. I got in a rut quickly but I love my bowl. All of the sauces are GF (using tamari in place of soy sauce). The sides are Korean potato salad (amazing) and kimchi (also amazing). I think the potato salad has melon in it and it's incredible. For dessert they have vegan soft serve ice cream, root beer floats and milkshakes. I forgot to ask what kind of milk they use in the soft serve but it's very close to cow's milk soft serve in texture. It melts slightly different but it's so good that it doesn't matter. You can have mango, strawberry, chocolate or blackberry topping. I had mango- really nice. For drinks- lots of sparkling water, ginger beer, root beer, water. Fast, friendly service, delicious food, all GF, vegan options. So just go now. read more

They had me at "would you like a vegan milkshake?" This place is wonderful. When I think of tasty Korean Rice bows, I think of K Fresh. Plenty of choices at fair prices. Their vegan milk shakes do not suck, both literally and figuratively. So rich and thick! Food was expertly prepared and amazingly tasty. I look forward to returning and trying the different dishes. My husband and I are regulars here. Pretty much everything here is wonderful. I love the fact that they meet so many dietary needs of their customers. I also adore that I can count on 99% of everything they serve being freshly made. I regularly get the vegan beef with either brown or cauliflower rice. So good. The rice in the stone bowl adds such a nice crunchy touch to the rest of the bowl. The shakes are some of the best around. We really loved the Eggnog. I kinda wish they had done pumpkin. My favorite shake so far was a raspberry/mango shake. I have such a pretty photo of it too. The potato salad is my favorite. It has a just a hint of sweet, enough to be intriguing without being gross. It also has a lovely texture. Also they have some of nicest people here. Especially the owner. Not gonna lie -- I wasn't expecting much because I usually don't care for bibimbap. However, I chose to order dinner here because it was the only healthy option for dinner in the area. I really liked that you can customize your bowl to your liking. It's a great concept of bibimbap! The ingredients were fresh and the sauce ties everything together. This is easily one of my favorite spots in Everett now. I'll be ordering from here again. Healthy can still be delicious! I love that they offer vegan options for the vegans. I enjoy the bite size pieces of chicken. The portions were just right. I also don't feel like crap like I usually do after eating takeout. That is a major plus! read more

I ran by this place and it stood out to me because of the clean and fresh look. After yelping "healthy food" in the area this came up at #1. After driving here I realized it was the same place from my run. I am so impressed with the customer service, presentation and quality of the food. This Bibimbap was the absolute best (I got honey chicken and the bulgogi) in addition to the homemade potatoes. I also got the strawberry smoothie (dairy and gluten free) and I'm officially hooked. Love the clean space. Could not recommend this place more. read more

My friend moved to downtown Everett last year and is still exploring the area. She told me about…read morethe vegan joint nearby that she hadn't been to yet. We're both omnivores who eat a fair amount of plant-based fare for health reasons (I have allergies and intolerances, she's heeding doctor's advice). To be clear, this is a cafe, not a full blown restaurant. They serve luncheon fare, but it's a small operation so be either patient to don't bother - especially if there's a line. It's counter ordering with payment expected in advance. The tables closest to the window are a *little* harrowing because of the ADA ramp that leads to the door: the closest chairs can teeter down the ramp if the chairs are pushed back too far. Be careful. There are huge, regular, and small tables available. The biggest table is a little tricky to navigate for folks who want to sit in the booth side, but once seated it's quite lovely. I ordered the Pesto Pasta (involving zoodles: zucchini noodles) and a Sun Juice. My friend ordered the Grilled Cheese and Bisque. Please note: it's worth looking around this place while waiting for your food. You can conceivably get your own water, napkins and cutlery if you walk far enough along the counter towards the back of the restaurant. Back there, you may also notice a single-occupancy restroom and bins for bussing your own dishes. The Sun Juice arrived first, freshly blended, and was delicious. If that's what their juice is like, I look forward to exploring their smoothie offerings. My pasta arrived looking BEAUTIFUL on a bed of spinach, and smelled just as good. It tasted a teensy bit more of salt than I would've liked, but then I speared a sun dried tomato with my next bite and remembered that I'm not a food critic, just a happy customer. Although I'm not generally a fan of zoodles, they seemed to have the art of cooking them down pat: they didn't distract from the pesto at all. The bisque had an artful design of (coconut? cashew?) cream on top. My friend was delighted to note that it was a bit of spice to it: nothing challenging, but just enough for her to find comforting. Given the light and airy look of the inside and the rather rustic / flower-child look of the outside, she was not expecting that surprise. She was so impressed with the grilled cheese sandwich that she offered me a bite: we were both quite impressed with the "cheese" they used, as the item was listed as vegan on the menu. My friend kept whining that she's doomed, as they're close to where she lives *and* they deliver. Oh, yeah - poor her, indeed. Alas, alack, and so on.

The portions have shrunk down in size and the meal costs have only gone up. Their building is hot in the summer and cold in the winter and the seats are very uncomfortable. It's not worthwhile to dine in their restaurant because of how uncomfortable it is. Take out is a better option. hey also have introduced meat and dairy items. Prior to this year they branded themselves as a vegan kitchen. Now vegans have to worry about cross-contamination quality issues. Unfortunately this is not a restaurant I can continue recommend. I have been a customer of Wayward for well over a decade and it's really sad to see their decline in quality.

Hurray! Korean food has finally arrived at Everett, Washington. Prior to this, the closest Korean food to me would mean a drive to Lynnwood at a more formal restaurant. K Fresh is a clean, cozy eating nook located on the sleepy port-side of downtown Everett. It's clean and bright inside, and it offers dine-in, to-go and some tables outside, too. Among its various offerings, this restaurant provides traditional-style bibimbap in a way similar to how one orders a sandwich at Subway -- with autonomy of choice. To my knowledge, Oma Bap is the only other Korean-inspired restaurant that serves bibimbap in this manner. What sets K Fresh aside is the authentic options they offer that are just like what one would find Korean restaurants. Plus, they offer some interesting renditions of their own to their protein selections that I have not seen in other Korean-owned restaurants. The owners of this restaurant are both friendly and very thoughtful by offering vegetarian and gluten-free options to their clientele. K Fresh is certainly not a franchise (to my knowledge). Nor does it taste like a franchise! It has the atmosphere and savor of reality, made on-site. A restaurant such as this is a risky venture in an area like Everett where authentic Asian food is less frequented by locals. I'm so glad the owners chose to take this chance. In terms of COVID-19 practices, the owners comply with precautions by wearing masks and gloves in addition to having a plexiglass barrier at the counter. How was my experience? Delicious! K Fresh's kimchi was enjoyable -- not too spicy for a guy who avoids spice. I also added to my coconut chicken their Korean spinach, a zuchini topping, egg, and a cucumber topping. All had tasty authentic flavors. If you're tired of the average Everett humdrum, or if you have been meaning to try Korean food but felt you needed a Korean friend to take you, please stop by K Fresh. I will be returning soon to discover the other options on their menu and hope to see you there. read more

So I go to this restaurant alot, I would say atleast once a week. This past wednesday I picked up a bowl to go and im not sure which ingrediant was bad but Igot really bad food poisoning and was left on the toilet overnight with vomit and diarrhea combo and rushing to toilets every 30 minutes to an hour the following days. It is now sunday and I finally feel okay enough to have normal meals. I lost about 5 pounds in the process. If anyone is wondering ingrediants, white rice, glass noodles, kimchi, bean sprouts, beef, egg and green onions. Now im not making this review to scare anyone but to let the owners know that they need to fix something. read more

It's good, but I'm not a fan of places where they don't have recommendations. It's always a crap-shoot whether you'll like what you choose, and that's not the restaurant's fault. But I go to a place to experience what they have to offer, not to have to decide on stuff I never tried before. I'd recommend they start getting 3-5 recommended bowls, alongside offering what they do to the adventurous. That way people can really get what the place is all about the first time, and for subsequent visits, you can try new combinations. read more
