OMG, what an incredible find here in Everett! My friends and I were coming back from the outlets and decided to check this place out since they have vegan friendly options for me. K Fresh is K Best because this place was fire! Just like the hot clay-pot Bibimbap that you must order when you dine inside to get the full experience. Similar to Chipotle, you get to assemble your bowl with your choice of ingredients and they'll sizzle it right up in a pot before serving. You have plenty of standard meat options but I was thrilled at their vegan proteins, which includes tofu, mock chicken, mock beef, and jackfruit - all of which are marinated in their house sauce to give it extra flavor. The Bibimbap was delicious with the extra gochujang spicy sauce that you can throw on top. My only wish would be if there was a fire going underneath the claypot in order to crisp up the rice underneath. My favorite item that they served wasn't even their Bibimbap, but their potato salad that you'll often find as banchan in Korean restaurants. Normally they're not vegan friendly because they'll either add mayo or ham, but this one was all plant-based and delicious. I haven't had that salad in a while and was thrilled to enjoy this homemade version. Their vegan kimchi here was also pretty good but admittedly could've used a bit more flavor. As someone that avoids added salt in their cooking, this was still very good and appreciated since it's hard to find vegan kimchi in stores. I love this place. I recommend the hot stone bowl. I enjoyed choosing what I wanted to put into my bowl. The paper bowl food is cold. It reminds me of a bowl from chipotle but an Asian version. It also reminds me of a poke bowl too! I went with white rice, beef bulgogi, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, spinach, tofu, and edamame. They give you a container of 4 different sauces to drizzle over your food. Once my hot bowl came out it was sizzling, but the food on top was still cold. Update: Day 2; 2nd try. Paper bowl this time. BIG difference. Can taste all the fresh ingredients and only the brown rice is hot. Perfect. Flavors are excellent. This is a great Bibimbap restaurant in an unlikely location in Everett. Located across from a (great) dive bar and union hall this gem opened just before COVID hit and weathered the storm. Inside is plain but clean and they have a patio in good weather. You build your bowl from multiple choice selections at the counter and can choose eat in or takeout. For the longest time, I put off trying K Fresh. Not for any reason other than we had never had Korean food and had no idea what to order. One night, we were really looking for something new to try for dinner and decided on this. At this point we weren't quite newbies anymore but we were new to bibimbap. We checked out their menu online and ordered pickup through ChowNow. Once we got there to pickup our food, we immediately knew which store it was because of their cute sign. My husband went in to grab it, he said it was clean and the lady that handed him our food was super nice. Once we got home, I couldn't believe how pretty our food looked! I ordered beef and chicken (because I couldn't decide), japchae, kimchi, fried tofu, shiitake mushrooms, and green onions. AMAZING. My husband was also really happy with his. This cool little Korean mom and pop place is the perfect stop when you're looking for something healthy and filling. We really enjoyed the hot stone bowl. They have so many options that I can't wait to go back and make a new combo. They really nail the modern health oriented cafe, but at the same time have an authentic flair. Lots of vegan options, big portions, well-priced, solid quality food. Great place for a casual and fairly authentic bibimbap -- for dine-in or a quick grab n go. We stopped here for dinner having seen that they have lots of vegan options. We each ordered their "stone bowl", which comes with your choice of 1 or 2 proteins ($14-something plus tax for the latter). I tried both their vegan meats: vegan coconut chili chicken and vegan beef; my wife just did the latter. You pick your base (white or brown rice, romaine, or cauliflower rice); we both did brown rice. Then you select 5 toppings out of their over a dozen to choose from. Then they heat up the stone and you enjoy your piping hot bowl with their various sauces. You get a good amount of food for the price, and this is in general a decent way to get a reasonably healthy meal. I love that they have so many vegan options (you could also get tofu as a topping), but I wasn't totally sold on the vegan beef or chicken, mostly because they were so sweet. The sweetness overwhelmed the bowl, making this a bit much for me overall sugar-wise. It was still enjoyable and the addition of hot sauce helped dilute the sweetness a bit. All in all, worth trying. If I were to return, I'd probably try their tofu as a protein instead in hopes that that'd be less sweet. Super friendly owners and quick service. Decent spit. read more

I've always wanted to eat more Korean food but could never quite figure out how to order this in a vegan friendly way. Thankfully K Fresh has come to Everett with many vegan friendly options clearly noted on their menu. They have a vegan chicken, vegan beef and a jackfruit option. The guess work and uncomfortable menu inquires are no longer part of the equation and even better the food is delicious. Also worthy of noting, their sides and desserts are vegan too, both of which are still on my to try list. While K Fresh has been on my to do list since they opened, I only managed to start checking it out during the pandemic so all of my experiences to date have been to go. I'm anxiously awaiting the day I can eat my food inside the restaurant in a hot stone bowl, but for now the to go option makes for the perfect take out lunch. I love nearly any food option where you walk down a line and pick exactly what you want in your meal. I'm a picky eater and hate having to ask for substitutions on predetermined menu items. Everyone is friendly. They pack it up in a suitable to go bag and container. They provide sauces and utensils. It's not the cheapest, but it does leave me incredibly full every time.
