On this occasion I tried 'K-Bop', it's not a large place but it can accommodate an average size. As you enter, you're greeted cordially and you look at the menu on the wall and are given the option to order on kiosk or in person. You have a good variety of dishes and drinks and daily specials. After placing your order you find where you want to sit and as your food is ready they bring you your meal. On this occasion I ordered the corn dogs which was accompanied by fries. The corn dogs were delicious, cheesy and lightly crunchy. Inside the corn dogs were a small hotdog and regarding the fries, salted just right and a great flavor. I also ordered fried dumplings, my goodness, they were delicious with wonderful texture and flavor, the dipping sauce made them taste outstanding. This a perfect combination of warm and locally centered place. K-Bop is a good option for Korean food and I recommend this place.

Great spot for a quick Korean snack food experience. This is very similar to a bunshik restaurant in Korean popular to students where they can get ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes) and Kim bap (rolls) along with other fried food. I ordered the kimchi Kim bap, tonkatsu Kim Bap, and ddukbokki with ramen to share with the hubby. Kim baps were legit, but the rice was a little cold. Same with the ddukbokki, temperature was not hot enough. Other than that, everything tasted great! I also ordered a coffee with tapioca which was delicious. Parking is limited when there's a school event as they share a parking lot with other restaurants and businesses.

If you don't know how to heat up a boiling pot and add shin noodles and add eggs, with some pork belly - then definitely the place for you. We walked in and I instantly saw all of the black shin noodles displayed in the front ... cool it's known as a Korean style sauce but nothing the restaurant did helped to enhance the packaged seasoning. The chicken bowls are made with Costco canned chicken. So it was like eating spicy canned chicken that had been thickened by some sort of sauce 1 maybe the noodle water.

Oh. My. God. I actually just choked on this food because I was eating it so ferociously, scarfing it all down. I couldn't stop. Mom got scared hearing me cough and almost die. Mixing the soup with the perfectly runny egg and rice was breathtaking, they complimented eachother beautifully. Its a perfectly spicy, piping hot, flavor bomb, subtlely sweet. Sooooo comforting on this rainy cold day. This is now my go to for any overcast, chilly day. It's so stupidly good. I can't describe how much I love it. Especially with the rice cakes I added Can't wait to order more items!

Casual Korean food fix! I usually order from here using a delivery app but it's always great to swing by for some fresh eats. Service is fast and friendly! I did see quite a bit of new items but also some items no longer there like the seasonal soon doo boo jjigae. The ambiance is clean and had plenty of seating inside and outside. Don't expect authentic Korean eats it's more of a nice casual mix of flavors. For the price and what you get it's a good casual spot. They have late hours so it's perfect for the college crowd.

Quiet little Korean shopfront in San Marcos. Order first via tablet (think Which 'Wich) and then they bring your food to the table. Everything tasted very fresh!! Hot sauce (upon request). Dishes are all between $11 and $13. A yummy diversion!

A Korean restaurant in San Marcos that people primarily go to for Korean food and not Japanese-like food such as kimbap and specialty sushi. I saw a Korean student working here. *GASP* I didn't know that actual Korean people actually existed in San Marcos. This location seems to be their second location with the first being near UT. The food is good. I had the bibimbap, which was standard. They were very generous with the vegetables. My only wish is that the online ordering website actually worked. The website was unresponsive after I added an entree, so I had to refresh it to see the changes to my cart. I am genuinely glad that didn't happen when I tried paying on the website. I believe the owner said something about it only being active during lunch rush hours, but I wish that it said somewhere on the website that was the case. Parking at downtown San Marcos. You may have a hard time finding enough parking during evening hours.

With in walking distance from the arch, a little hidden gem. Staff is super friendly. It's more of a fusion than anything eles. They could have put more protein in the bowl for the extra fee there charge, and getting into the bathrooms were a little odd, they also weren't very clean. Other than that food tasted great! During the crazy winter storm that cut out our power and water supplies, my husband and I came across K-Bop on Yelp and decided to call beforehand, just to make sure that they were open. At first, they didn't answer, so we thought they were closed. But then a few minutes later, we got a call back from K-Bop! I was so surprised because I have never had a restaurant that called me back when they missed my call. That just spoke to the amazing service they provide to their customers. We ordered Beef Bulgogi Bowl, Kimchi Kimbap, Beef Bulgogi Soup, and Ton (pork) Katsu. All of them were amazing and the portion was great too. As a Korean native, I can attest that this place gives you authentic Korean food in affordable prices. We'll definitely go back to try other dishes on the menu! read more

My fiancé and I loved this place! It was our first time ever trying Korean food and we were so happy we went in. We both got the Beef Bulgogi Bowl and the Fried Dumplings and they were delicious!! K-bop is one of the few truly great restaurants in San Marcos. So lucky to have this gem here! I've tried most of the dishes on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The beef bulgogi kimbap and kimchi fried rice are to die for! The portions are great and the flavor is delicious. The service is amazing as well. I do wish they would add gimmari and jjajangmyeon to the menu as those are my favorite Korean dishes read more

The food, drinks, and service are phenomenal and I love the atmosphere and staff. I've had the soon doo boo, japchae, the spicy chicken bowl, and the beef bulgogi kimbop - I would recommend all of them, none were disappointing. The citron green tea, peach green tea, coffee and taro smoothies are all delicious. This place is a keeper and I'm so glad they decided to open business here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, as well as hard working, definitely support this local businesses people! read more

Decided to try this place for lunch I've never tried anything like this before. It was good I wouldn't say it was amazing though. I had the Beef Bulgogi with no egg. The meat had a really great flavor & texture but I wasn't sold on the clear noodles with the rice. It seemed like it was mushy on mushy & neither had any flavor. The salad greens mixed in were a little weird too. The chicken dumplings were good I really liked them. Would I try it again - probably not. read more

The here is really good,so we travel down from kyle TX to get it. But make sure you check your order before you leave (if you're getting it to go) they always seem to miss something. It's on the bill but not in the the bag .I think I have learned my lesson, I will definitely double check my order before I leave. read more

The worst customer service ever. Took an HOUR to get our food and the workers behind the counter are the slowest ever and the cashier was so rude. We didn't even get our full order because we had to go but it was horrible. Got complementary pot stickers but we don't eat pork lol. read more

I had a wonderful experience the first time I ate at this place. The Boba tea is amazing and very delicious! All the food was very enjoyable! ALTHOUGH, the last time I ate I ordered the bibimbop (sorry if misspelled) and I received almost an ENTIRE egg shell in the food. I consumed some before realizing it was an egg shell and I had to spit it out. I couldn't continue eating as every next bite I took I felt crunch and it was no longer enjoyable. This is a small mess up from a good place, and I am sorry about this Inconvenience but it was not a good time. read more

By far the best flavored, seasoned and prepared Korean food I've ever had. I fell in love with the beef bulgolgi. The size was big enough for left-overs for lunch, which is a plus. This place is awesome and the portion sizes are great! As a Korean, I was so excited to hear that a Korean place had opened up in San Marcos, so I had to try it and I have to say I am very impressed. There's definitely been a few Korean places that have opened up previously that didn't hit the mark unfortunately, but this one is GREAT! I wish I could have taken pictures but it smelled so good we just dug in. We had the Soondubu, which was pretty authentic, and I'll definitely be getting it again, because I just love Korean soups. It would be super cool if they added Yukgaejang to their menu, I would eat there everyday. We also got the shrimp tempura kimbop which was a nice modern spin on a classic korean dish, still tasted like kimbop but had a little sushi fusion going on, 10/10 recommend. And my partner got the beef bulgogi bowl which was so awesome, huge portion size, and the bulgogi tasted really good as well. We got the honey milk tea with strawberry jelly and I'll definitely be coming by for just that alone, not overpoweringly sweet, and perfect taste. All in all, I'm super impressed and excited for this place and will be recommending it to everyone! SO happy I don't have to drive to Austin for good korean food anymore~ read more

We paid anyway, as I am both a coward and a pushover. When my mom, who is much braver than I, went in to talk to the man behind the counter, he gave us each a whopping one dollar bill for our troubles. How generous. We won't be back. Note: The drinks themselves were nothing special. Pity. TLDR: We were overcharged. Read the fine print on the menu. Don't bring your gullible kids here.

I got the salmon nigiri, unagi nigiri, and Shaggy Dog roll. The salmon nigiri had a nice, big hunk of salmon on top and was pretty delicious. The unagi was out of this world delicious. I loved the sear on it and it was also a generous piece of meat. The Shaggy Dog roll was spicy and definitely full of umami. I thought everything I had today was incredibly yummy. I'll be coming back for sure, at least for a plate-full of that unagi nigiri.

Very relaxed atmosphere here. When you walk in there is 2 different ways to order . There are 2 different digital kiosks to the right wall or a service window. A huge wall menu with pictures and descriptions of each item they offer. Clean areas and use of disposable containers is great for diners on the move. The food was flavorful and reasonably priced.
