We decided to go inside to eat this time so we could enjoy our food before we headed to Raleigh. It took awhile for our order to be taken & the cashier seemed upset, but I got her to laugh. So, that was a good thing. We got the wings and things combo and a kiddie finger meal. They gave us a number & eventually brought it to our table. The fries were fresh, but the chicken wasn't. Neither was the toast. For all the customers in the drive thru and inside the restaurant who got food before us, I don't understand why it wasn't all fresh. After we ate, we got some chocolate chip cookies to go. They were yummy. I will probably be back soon. Hopefully all of our food will be fresh then & I can update this review.

I eat a lot on the road, and…read moreunlike the KFC in Roanoke Rapids, NC, I did not slip and slide across the floor, nor did my feet stick to the floor as they do in Emporia, VA. The store smelled like fried chicken, not old fryer oil. The assistant manager was even out on the floor helping clean, moving booths and trash cans and sweeping and mopping the floor. I am a former food service manager, and am rarely impressed enough to comment on the cleanliness of a restaurant. Not only did I comment on it to the shift leader and the assistant manager, I had the assistant manager get her district manager on the phone and told her in person. In addition to being clean-front and back-every part of the building that I could see was clean-all of the employees were clean, well kept, polite and even friendly (really, the guy pulling the garbage in the back did not have to say good evening, but he did). We both had the $5 fill up with Chicken Tenders, one with Cole Slaw and one with Potato Wedges. Everything was hot and fresh.

All the outback decor is basically the same rustic, looking with a center bar with seating and booths around the edges. Our server, Jared, took great care of us. He was attentive, checked on us throughout the meal, and never made us feel forgotten, which unfortunately can happen at some restaurants. We ordered the 6-ounce filet mignon and the ribeye, and both were cooked perfectly. We each got a sweet potato, along with a Caesar salad and a house salad. Everything hit the spot after being on the road for so long. A really nice experience from start to finish. Highly recommend stopping at this Outback if you're in the Rocky Mount area!

These two ladies went above and beyond to fix the issues and we didn't even have to ask for them to fix anything. Whoever the restaurant manager is you really need to make Brittany a manager. She stepped up and took care of us above and beyond and was pleasant the whole time. Debbie also stepped up and gave us free refills bc of the long wait without us asking her to bc our drinks weren't free refills. She kept checking on us and giving us updates the whole time. Made sure we have plenty of bread to keep us content until food arrived. Now, bad part we were there for 2 hrs waiting for food. Our blooming onion came out fast and so did the bread and my husbands side salad, but when it came to entrée that was a different story. It was a very busy evening and I do believe they were understaff bc they weren't even setting people on one side of the restaurant, so I don't know if back of house was understaffed too, but let's just say it took way too long and then when our food came out it was not good. My husbands shrimp was ice cold like it just came out of fridge and thrown on his plate and his cheese fries were cold. Then my steak was cold to the touch, I mean fridge cold. The other person who was with us got a blooming chicken and he said his was fine. They took all our food back and redid it, at this point after 2 hrs we just wanted it boxed up to go and so they recooked it and boxed it all up and gave us free deserts. They did comp all our drinks, mine and my husbands meal and the blooming onion, which was great for the experience we had. Those two ladies saved the night. Needless to say I just ate bread and blooming onion for dinner, but have steak for dinner tonight. I will also say the bathrooms were dirty, paper towels all over the floors, counters were covered in water like someone had taken a bath in there. I do believe this restaurant needs more staff, the staff they had were working their tails off and no one was standing around doing nothing. I felt bad bc they trying their hardest and just couldn't keep up. We love outback and eat there a lot. This was our first time going to this location, when we go back I will always ask to be seated in Debbie section and hopefully they have given Brittany that raise she deserves.

I have had it in Raleigh but hadn't noticed there was a location in Wilson. The closed at 9pm and I walked in around 8:30pm. Very well lit location. There was no wait and the staff were completing the closing actions. However, they were still welcoming and did not make it seem like I was a burden coming in this late. They took my order and answered any questions I had about the burgers. As they were cleaning, I decided that I would stay near the door to stay out of the way. When I say they were taking their time to clean - it was refreshing to know they take keeping a clean location for their customers to enjoy their food. It took about 20 mins to get my order complete (noted there was 4 burgers that needed to be prepared - so I wasn't upset at all) - meaning the food would be FRESH! All burgers were fresh with good flavor! It felt like you were eating something made with care. Everyone enjoyed their food and will definitely be back for more.
